Useless portal. Does not accept my email address, which I've had for 15 years! Times out before entering, shocking. Oh, and while I'm on the subject of needing a visa, why if you are going to Sharm El Shaikh a visa is not required but for El Gouna it is, and you have to pay by CASH only,$30 El Gouna, $36 Cairo hmmm? You should either need a visa to enter Egypt or not? Seems like a money making scam to me

The website simply doesn't work. Nearly impossible to complete your application due to the endless issues and bugs with the website. Quite frustrating to use, and frankly the worst official e-visa website I have ever enountered. I gave up and will obtain the visa on arrival

I have serious doubts about the legitimacy of this site. As others said, wished I had read before, I input all my information as shown in my passport. Payment was complicated but done, only to get an email with rejected application notice for difference in information from passport. Will block credit card payment right away.

Pure scam atp, denied my visa for "documents not matchin the data" which is rubbish, all details are correct, tried to get in contact with no success , just do it at the airport

This evisa system is unfit for purpose. It locks up; has unresponsive fields; fails to move to the next stage, and then saves the failed draft for 7 days to stop you from resolving the issue. Finally, got through only to be rejected and be told data didn't match but they kept the $30 fee.

The most crappy official website I've ever visited. I gave up with getting evisa there. Crashes, erases automatically uploaded info, I tried 5 times to fill and memorize and no success. This site reflects the whole Egypt country.

Don’t do it if you have an apostrophe or any other special character in your name. You will be denied with no refund.

Complete waste of time, if you think it will save time from the airport, it won't. It's one of the single most frustrating thing ive ever tried to do, cant use phone as payment screen is un accessible so tried on PC and can't get passed the applicant section that i've already been passed on my phone. Just do it at the airport, its just as much of a scam there anyway.

What a load of crap... Supposably saved multiple times my application yet not...Putting in the address doesn't work.. Download doesn't work..

Entire website is like Egypt...just doesn't work...
Don't waste your time with this ..pay on the arrival...it's 8$,more but just cannot trust this site

Let me start with some facts: I'm Egyptian, my wife is Azerbaijani, and we live in Estonia. For my wife to visit Egypt, she needs a visa — and unfortunately there's no Egyptian embassy or consulate in Estonia, so the nearest option is Finland.

Before using the e-visa website, we read some really bad reviews that seriously made us hesitate to go through with it. When we called the embassy instead, they told us the visa would cost around €150 plus some document legalizations. We thought — why should we pay five times the price? So we did what lunatics do and risked it with the "broken" website that charges $30.

Guess what? My wife got her visa in 3–4 days. Hassle-free — no bank queues at the airport, no cash payments.

I'm leaving this review for two reasons. First, I hope anyone who knows how to fill in a visa form properly gets the same benefit we did. Second, as a reminder that online reviews aren't always true.

Terrible experience even for technical savy users

Like so many others our evisa was declined and 3 days after we applied and paid. I protested and they said I had 48hrs from application to change but they didn't tell me until 3 days afterwards!! They refuse to comment on that and just said go back to your bank! My opinion is its a scam website . Do not use.

Utterly useless. It's a scam. Don't use it.

The worst website I have ever used. Not even one star. Quite appalling. After 7 hours (in 2 shifts) we gave up and read the Trustpilot comments. So it wasn't just us! Slow, confusing, having to input information again, total lack of clarity or explanation, and so on. Buy the visa at the airport. It has got to be easier than this.

We filled all, not easy to fill, anyway we managed. We paid and waiting sever days and now have the site 404 - Page not found! :(

To be honest I would not give it a 1 star review it is an absolutely appalling website . From the start to finish. I spent 2 hours on two application forms. It says it saves your information it does not save your information so every time you come off it you have to retype your details. The photo they needed of your passport was near on impossible to take because of the accuracy they required.
Eventually I managed to get a suitable one to use. The photo they are supposed to accept has to be 1 mb so I had to download an app to change the photo size to 1mb It still would not accept it. So I made it even smaller eventually after changing it to several different sizes it accepted it. Then it kept saying my address was wrong again I typed it several times before it would accept it. So now all I had to do was submit the application by pressing the submit button. That took ages before it worked.I paid the fee £18.54 eventually it was sent. I got no confirmations. A few days later I received an email saying my given name was wrong . Impossible its the same as on my passport. They have given me 48 hours to correct it otherwise my application would be void and you get no money back. For 24 hours I have tried to contact them their website wont even load. I have tried to reply to their email address it does not accept replies. My advice to anyone needing a visa you will send less hours queuing up in the airport than it has taken me on line NOT to even get a visa.

Worst every / very disappointing

How can anyone create a website this bad?

I have already booked my stay, otherwise I would not travel to Egypt. This is really disappointing, and I do not need this kind of hassle anymore.

It is the same for me as with the USA: as a Swiss citizen, I will no longer travel there either.

It is a big scam. Lots 40 dollar, visa denied because of photograph of passport. Did it again but you have to pay again. No response through mail or phone. Don't buy this !!!!!

Made an application with same details as is in my passport exactly! Got declined , reason being incorrect details or not matching details .
