RUN dont walk away!! Bait and switch / unprofessional!!

Car shipping express is THE reason this industry has a shady reputation!! they are a scam and use bait and switch tactics, after a WEEK of them not showing up to pick up my car they finally after 2 days of being ghosted, called to say they could have a driver there the next day BUT it would be $600 more!! Even after agreeing to go forward the driver never cam and i told them i wanted to move on and wanted a refund of my deposit... then they promised again would be done the next day only to have the same thing happen and my car sat there.. i asked repeatedly for a refund of my deposit and was eventually told they couldn't because they paid a driver already and had no obligation to refund!! Ridiculous waste of time and money... RUN don't walk away from this company.

This is no more than a scam

This is no more than a scam. We agreed on a simple delivery price and time a week prior. We made a $150 deposit of the $375. They never contacted us again. I had to contact them the morning of the pickup to see when they would pick up the vehicle. They said they wouldn’t be picking it up on the agree upon day, that it would be the next day. The next day I contacted them to see when it would be picked up, they said between 3-5 the next day. That morning they contacted me and said the driver could do it that day for $650 COD or another could do it a day later for $600 COD, double what we agreed upon. The missed days were bad enough as we had scheduled around it. I asked for my deposit back, and instead, they said there was a cancellation fee of $200. I could understand that if it was my choice, but when you double the agreed upon price, you have no right to a cancellation fee. You caused the issue. Then they got absolutely foul with us and demanded we pay the higher price or they would take a cancellation fee.

Deceptive pricing

This company uses Deceptive Trade Practices in there pricing hiding behind "estimated cost" in their contract statement. Stated the driver had a mechanical failure so in order to ship my vehicles it would now be double the price than originally stated on the contract. When trying to cancel they initially refused a refund stated the deposit I paid was the now termination fee. Their contract stated the termination fee was only $200. We finally came to an agreement per their contract statement and settled that after much back and forth.
Companies should not be allowed to double a price and try and strong hold you to that when they do not follow thru with time frame set, cost, and not hold to their contract because what's the point in a contract? They should just say give us money.
Plus side is their customer service, even though the company is faulty, are very friendly.

WARNING: Cross-Border Bait & Switch Scam (USDOT 4437748) – Do Not Sign!

Carshipping Express Inc is a predatory remote broker legally operating out of Halifax, Nova Scotia, that uses fake domestic addresses to trap U.S. customers.Their operation relies on a systematic "bait-and-switch" pricing model:They hook you with a low-ball initial price quote to secure your credit card deposit.Right before pickup, they hit you with a massive price hike—in my case, demanding an extra $600 for a local move. They try to lock this in by sending a completely new, revised contract, banking on the fact that you will be desperate enough to sign it.IF THEY DID THIS TO YOU, DO NOT SIGN THAT NEW CONTRACT!Because you did not sign or accept the revised document, they have zero legal leverage. They are the ones breaching the original agreement. Do not waste time begging their remote customer service agents for a refund.Take immediate action to protect your money:Execute a Bank Chargeback: Call your credit card company right now and dispute the deposit for "Services Not Rendered due to a Fraudulent Price Alteration."Provide the Evidence: Upload your original signed contract alongside the unsigned new contract with the $600 markup. Banks see this as clear merchant breach of contract and will forcibly claw your money back out of their account.Target Their U.S. Authority: Look up MC-1746998 on the FMCSA portal, identify their active $75,000 surety bond provider, and file a claim directly with the insurer using your written documentation. When a merchant accumulates a massive surge of chargebacks for unauthorized price hikes, credit card networks permanently revoke their processing accounts. Do not let them keep your money—call your bank today.
I expect to hear from them regarding my recent posts about their shady business practices. I will update later with what they had to say to me. And, come on....every positive review on here is written in broken English.....what does that tell you? And they all sound nothing like what real customers would write even if it was a positive review.

No Carrier, Last-Minute Price Increase, and Poor Communication

Very poor communication and customer service. I booked Carshipping Express to transport my vehicle for $600 and paid a $200 reservation fee. On the estimated pickup date, they still had not assigned a carrier. Instead of notifying me in advance, they waited until that day to tell me and then quoted me approximately double the original price.
They continued trying to negotiate the price, but by that point, the price was no longer the main issue. The issue was that they knew they had not secured a carrier and failed to communicate that before the expected pickup date. I could simply drive the vehicle myself, but I should have been given advance notice.
When I decided to cancel, they told me the cancellation fee would be 100% of the full shipping quote. However, their contract states that when an order is canceled before a carrier is assigned, the charge is the $200 nonrefundable processing fee. The 100% cancellation charge applies only after a carrier has been assigned—and they had repeatedly confirmed that they had not found one.
The last-minute price increase, poor communication, and attempt to charge more than what their own cancellation terms state made this a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend this company.

Avoid CarShipping Express at All Costs

My experience with CarShipping Express was one of the most frustrating and disappointing customer service experiences I've ever had.

I was initially quoted $200 for transport, with a $100 deposit required to secure my pickup date. We agreed on the price, we agreed on the pickup date, and I made plans based on the promises I was given.

Then, on the day of pickup, everything changed.

I received a call informing me that the truck that was supposedly going to transport my vehicle had "broken down." Suddenly, the original agreement was no longer available. Instead, I was told that the only option was a different transporter that would cost $750, along with a $300 deposit.

The alternative? I could wait while they tried to find a less expensive transporter at some unknown future date.

The problem was that they knew I couldn't wait. I had made arrangements based on the pickup date they committed to. They knew the vehicle had to move on that date, and at that point I felt completely trapped and backed into a corner.

What makes this situation feel like a bait-and-switch to me is what happened with the deposits. Even though I had supposedly reserved transport with a $100 deposit, they never actually charged my card for that original deposit. Yet when the price suddenly jumped from $200 to $750, they were incredibly quick to process the new $300 deposit.

That sequence of events raises serious concerns. If the original transport was truly secured, why wasn't the original deposit ever collected? Why did the only charge that went through immediately happen to be tied to a transport costing nearly four times more than what was originally promised?

Whether you call it poor planning, incompetence, or something else, the result is the same: I was quoted one price, counted on that price, and then pressured into paying significantly more when I had no practical alternatives.

If you're considering using CarShipping Express, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are plenty of reputable transport companies that honor their commitments and communicate honestly with their customers.

Based on my experience, I would never use CarShipping Express again, and I would caution anyone considering them to proceed very carefully. When a company changes the terms at the last minute after you've already made your arrangements, it creates a situation where the customer has little choice but to pay more or risk major disruption to their plans.

My advice: Avoid this company and choose a transporter with a proven reputation for honoring its quotes and commitments.
