Disgraceful increases in price

My water bill has gone up from £514 in 2024 to £879 last year to £965 this year. Absolute disgrace. I laughed at the sentence "the change in your water bill will vary depending on the service you get from us". Service should be good overall not just in areas - idiots :(. They should have been delivering improvements years ago. Needless to say I will use my hose this year even with a ban as I have liquid gold water apparently :(

Review of Dvla

Computer says no - I'm a gov department and oh so slow!!!

What is is with government departments - they accept no responsibility if they make a mistake. If they were in the private sector they would have been binned off. My daughter has a brand new car which she has been unable to drive since receipt (beginning February) due to some idiot at DVLA ticking the wrong box. They are so slow in sending out the forms which she needs to get it sorted as it is a government department and sooooo protected that they don't have to do what they should be doing. The car has sat on the drive and she is having to get Ubers to jobs that she cannot get to by public transport. She was given advice to get taxed at post office who have told her she cannot as she is not the registered owner of this brand new car due to the DVLA mistake. I hate the idea that my tax pays the salaries of these idiots :(

Review of Carhartt Work In Progress

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This is not what I call Work in Progress :(

I would like to comment on the clothes but cannot. However if the clothes are the same quality as their customer service then I would not touch with a bargepole. Here is the sorry story:

8th January item ordered on website in line with when they said they could deliver - it was a gift.
8th January credit card debited for £125.
8th January Order acknowledgement.
Nothing else received.
13th January I started to chase and received one standard email giving all the things they could not do rather then what they could i.e. could not refund once order in progress etc etc.
14th January I said either deliver or cancel as I believed that this was still sitting in Carharrt system somewhere and hadn’t even got to order delivery stage another standard email due to problems they said with backlogs (not a me problem - put resource on or turn down the orders if you cannot fulfil).
15th January - magically I received a UPS tracking number from UPS saying items on way.
19th January I received Carharrt tracking notification that the items were on the way.
There was nothing to do apart from wait.
The items got stuck in UPS system and when I called they said that Carharrt had requested a return on 19th.
I chased Carharrt who advised the wrong postcode was on form. I showed them my original order (correct postcode) and what they provided to UPS which was different. I also said that UPS were regular visitors here and they know where we are.
Carharrt then came back and advised there is no guarantee that the item would get here so were now going to get it back.
I said - you have been given correct address twice and it is sitting in a local warehouse, just give UPS the correct postcode and get them to deliver. They just said they were arranging a return. They eventually refunded. I have asked daughter and friends to not use this
S--tShow of a Company. Appalling service :(

There is no customer service - it is now 5th February and this item sat in the Warehouse until 3/2 and now is at Dock today. What sense does the above make.

Review of Southern Water

My water must be liquid gold - Disgraceful Southern Water and Labour for allowing it!!!

My water bill has gone up from £584 per annum to £879. I went online to discuss it but conveniently there was no chat available. I cannot see how Southern Water can justify this rise. There are no new reservoirs in area to service new homes, they allow sewage to flow into our rivers, constantly see burst pipes with nobody in attendance, or if they are then just sitting in vans - yes I know you are at the end of the pile but still part of the same greedy organisation. As soon as there is the sign of dry weather they ban hosepipes. They seem to be the highest rise across all water boards.

I wouldn't mind but I am stuck with these idiots because they are not deregulated and so I don't have the option to choose who provides my water or takes away my sewage.

Shame on you AGAIN labour for allowing this to happen. I'm just a JAM (just about managing) who's being squeezed from all angles because I want to work and have worked all my life. I'm thinking of now of giving up my business, retiring early so I don't contribute to the system, selling my house, getting a camper van and just drawing enough to live on. Totally totally fed up.

Disgraceful!!

If I could give a minus I would :(

If I could give a minus I would :(. 16th December I had to go to Shuh in Bluewater to collect a gift. I had been caught in traffic on the way there and had forgotten my glasses, only had distance ones :(. Daughter had told me of a few items she said she might like. I went to Boots as always nice service in there, picked up a moisturiser and a lip cream as gifts. Scanned and paid and left store. Boots did not have the other bits I needed. When daughter was young we used to shop in Sephora and so thought I would take a visit. I went in to ask for the items. Staff were hanging around and were not very helpful when asked for help, casually pointing to an area and not taking me even though they did not appear busy. I left without purchasing anything - if the staff had engaged they may have got a sale or two.
The only one who seemed interested was the young security guard who stopped me on the way out as an alarm had gone off. It was the lip cream. I rather confidently handed my receipt (no glasses to check so had to take the word of security guard). He said item was not on there. I was frustrated as I do not shoplift. He took it to another security guard who confirmed same. I was then really flustered. I had receipts all over the floor looking to see if I had missed something. In the end I asked for them to check their cameras which would show I had not taken anything and then for one of the security guards to accompany me to Boots so I could pay Boots as it was Boots who had sold me the product and I did not want Sephora to benefit from a sale they had not made. On that note a female appeared who said that she would de-tag the item. I said that may be so but I would still be returning to Boots. I left flustered and upset. I went to outside bit of Boots and flagged down Marilyn in the Beauty area and asked her to come out to me. She did, I explained what had happened and I said I needed to pay as I thought it had scanned but clearly had not according to Sephora. She was amazed I had returned but I said that is not what I am about. As I went in the alarm went off and so the item had not been de-tagged. I paid and just went home. Now this is why I am so cross. In January I was ticking back receipts to my statement. I came across the offending receipt again, I was about to bin it but then took a look. I was absolutely furious. So on the receipt it showed the first item £18.99 and then a saving of £19.00 then under neath in smaller writing it shows the Gmy Br 20g £21.00 (the item Sephora had suggested I had taken from their store :(. I had paid but Sephora security had been so convincing I believed I had not. I had paid Boots twice for it because of my experience in Sephora. I straight away vented my anger to Sephora Customer Services, it wasn't to get anything but to say hey you had three people in your store look but you still missed the item you were suggesting I had stolen. Customer Services came back to ask the date, the time, a description of myself. Of course I could provide all including the harrassed and upset looking women surrounded by receipts. Since then nothing despite several chases. Obviously not worthy of an apology or anything. My daughter and friends are not using Sephora based on this experience. Yes Sephora may want to extend the number of stores they have but you need to be getting it right with the stores you have before you start any expansion. If I had my glasses it might have ended differently on 16th December but you had three youngsters with good eyesight look at my receipt and miss that payment!!

5/2 - I have received a response below as you can see but asking me to contact the same e-mail address who since the last response asking for dates and description has not had the grace to come back. I'm not sure why they are asking me to contact an email address which to-date has offered no apology or resolution :(. I've cut and pasted their response and we will see.

Mark in Boiler Warranty - Really Helpful

I'm doing this feedback on here as I think Mark should have positive feedback and my phone won't work to answer the survey so going this route instead :). I had to change my boiler service contract to a different one. I could not do it on line - something to do with the warranty and was asked to call 0333 200 8899 and I got through to Mark. He was really knowledgeable, did not try to sell me anything that I did not need or want and went through all the terms and conditions. When I found out I couldn't upgrade on line I was thinking oh no, long queues etc but when I got through to Mark I was more than pleased and he helped me to sort what I needed very quickly....so thanks :)

Review of UPS UK

UPS - does it stand for Usual Pathetic Service or maybe Uttlerly Poor Service!!

We were expecting a delivery yesterday originating from Germany - 5 large packages. UPS have managed to contact us fine to take import duty which not sure we should even have paid so clearly have had the items in their possession. The items have been showing since 26th October as being at Stanford-Le-Hope. Updates showed delivery should have been by close of business yesterday but tracking info had not moved. We scheduled workloads so one of us could be here so we did not miss delivery. It got to late afternoon and nothing had changed and so went onto online chat which gave same delivery info. Asked to speak to human and they asked for our number and said they would call within 6 minutes - no call was received. Went back onto chat and they then provided a customer service telephone number which I called. A young lady called Sunday in Customer Service offered an unapologetic service, she could not tell me where the packages were and just sent through a claim form which does not kick in until after 10 days - in fact it is probably not us who should be filling that in but the person who has despatched the goods. Sunday could not confirm whether the 5 large parcels had been lost or not and really wasn't concerned, her only concern was getting me off the phone. She advised that they had not been scanned since 24th yet the system showed on 25th that they were at Stanford Le Hope but nothing since then. I have had one other negative experience from this organisation. They really do not seem to be using negative feedback to up their game. We did not have a choice in courier but would not have used them out of choice. So today the items were showing as being in Dartford and even though it did not say out for delivery it gave us a delivery slot of by 1.50. Still nothing here. UPS you have to realise that some of us are self employed, when we are waiting around for inefficient delivery companies then we lose money. You have the money and the years to put in a good infrastructure so do not understand why you are not doing this. Your customer service need to learn how to customer service also. Real shoddy treatment.

DPD Requested Feedback I have posted already but here goes

on 30/1/24 I received message to say my parcel would be here between 4.00 and 5.00 today. Consignment ended in one number. Then received message to say that due to unexpected issue they would not be delivering. That consignment ended in another number. Called through to Customer Services and spoke to Sharon. Sharon should not be in a customer services role. Even though there appeared to be a discrepancy in consignment nos she was unable to explain and also was unable to explain what the issue is and when I would receive the parcel. What I would add is that generally the delivery drivers are fine but this rude lady could not tell me anything that I couldn't find online myself. She did not want to put me through anybody who might be able to tell me what the issue was. Apparently "I was the consumer and not the customer and so she couldn't deal with me" So still unsure whether my parcel is arriving or somebodyelses or even if it was going to turn up at all :(. Since then I have been on tracking and found that the parcel was rerouted to Bridgewater and then when I went back in yesterday it was in Wolverhampton. I chased the company who I had purchased from (DPD's customer) and apparently DPD call centre could not give any valid reason as to why I had not received parcel or why it had been rerouted. All it says is that there is a problem in the area....what area? Dartford, Bridgewater, Wolverhampton. DPD you are a joke and you need to get your customer services to customer service :(. I have received two of three parcels (one damaged) the other is drifting around the country still :(

DPD you want to know what you need to do to improve the customer experience:
1) If you have a problem in the area then let us know what the problem is
2) Give your staff access to the system so they know what the problem is - no sense in giving the same info as we have - it makes their job irrelevant
3) If you have made a mistake - rectify it quickly
4) Use customer service staff who want to customer service - the air of it's not my problem does not go down well :(

Hermes let down by grumpy Cost Cutter guy :(

The online ordering bit was fine. However what let this service down was the extremely rude and abrupt man who I handed my parcels to at Cost Cutter in Hartley. Asked me to sign a screen that was not ready then got the hump when I couldn't because he hadn't set it up. Wasn't even that he was busy! So no problem with Hermes - just a problem with the customer service when handing over parcels.
