Service fees have gotten out of hand
Service fees have gotten out of hand. $12 for one order. Free delivery is offset by high fees. I will not be renewing my membership. I’ll buy direct from the grocery store or get deliveries from Walmart.

Review of Embrace Pet Insurance
Today, 7/22/26, I cancelled the the two policies I had on my cats. I can use the savings to put aside money for their care. Their response, which is generic, pushed me to my decision. When I called them about it they acted as if there was no room to alter the price unless I shaved whatever existing coverage there was.
————————-
My cat who is 13 now has been on Embrace since he was 4 months old. There was a jump in cost when he got older, like at 10, so I had to alter the policy. He hasn’t cost them much in claims. Nevertheless at age 13 they doubled the cost of his premiums to over $200. I called back prepared to cancel because it wasn’t worth the cost anymore. At the moment he’s on an accident policy for seniors that is cheap but I’ll probably cancel that too. Embrace really let me down.

Review of CleanChoice Energy
I received marketing from CleanChoice. I use ComEd. The marketing I received was deceptive and predatory. They inferred in a rather blatant way that they were COMED and that there was an urgent form to fill out. Good companies don’t try to trick people into choosing them. I believe the marketing could easily confuse vulnerable consumers.

Review of dbest-products.com
I ordered the Cruiser which could easily be a toy for a child. It's junky, small and way overpriced. When I told them so, they refused to refund me because it was past a certain time frame. Shark Tank equals garbage.

The customer service number goes to voicemail. Refunds are at your expense. The whole thing is scam. I'm contacting my bank and reversing the charges ASAP. The positive reviews are fake as a $3 bill.

Review of Saatva
I purchased their RX mattress and an adjustable frame. Weeks went by and I called. They said they were building the mattress and the frame. Both were a lie. The frame is from another company and is a rip-off. After a month a moving company called me. They had no idea what they were delivering and had terrible 2-star reviews. On top of that they don't deliver on weekends. Judging by Saatva's prices you'd think their delivery services really was white glove. I called Saatva and asked if the moving company was assembling the bed frame and they said yes. Previously they said that they were "building" the frame. Then they said they were waiting for parts. I asked them to have another company deliver the bed. They said that wasn't possible. It was at this point that I realized that this whole experience was too shady and that I demanded a full refund, which I will hopefully get. No bed is worth this amount of time and aggravation.
Review of Keds
I will never buy directly from Keds again. The people I spoke with in customer service were very nice, but there were a lot of hiccups with my return and I had to call 3x to get a full refund for the shoes I returned. From now on I'll order from Zappos or DSW where it is much easier to make returns. Also, the quality of their sneakers has unfortunately lowered, but their prices have sky rocketed.
Review of Target
I live in a big city and lately my deliveries are being delivered by contractors who have been leaving the packages outside on the sidewalk. They don't even attempt to use the intercom. So, of course, packages get stolen. I called Target about it and they said that they would take my feedback but basically would do nothing about it. They are using the equivalent of Uber drivers and Doordash to deliver packages and don't care if they get there or not. I'm not sure I want to shop with Target anymore. They really seem to not care at all. The person I spoke with just kept making excuses.
Review of Meetup
I've been a member of Meetup for over 12 years and an organizer for at least half of that time. The positives: I made good connections and friends. Meetup itself has gone downhill after being purchased by other companies. The original spirit of bringing people together is tainted by their corporate greed and total lack of customer service. There is no customer service and they are charging exorbitant rates to organizers (In July it'll be almost $50 per month!). Members don't usually want to pay dues, so it's a headache. I'm going to change platforms to Facebook or Eventbrite because it just isn't worth the expense or dealing with their buggy apps and website. I don't think Meetup is going to last if it continues this way.
Review of Ancestry.com
Very, very over-priced membership. Over $300 a year. I switched to a limited plan of $5.99 a month and they switched me to a biannual plan without my authorization. Cancelled but have to contact my bank to dispute charge.

Review of Embrace Pet Insurance
I purchased Embrace pet insurance for my cats when I adopted them as kittens. Since then, when illnesses have come up, Embrace has always been incredibly helpful and paid me quickly. The plans have paid for themselves and will continue to do so as my cats get older.
