Terrible. They charged me for an monthly subscription when I wanted to buy a single song. They never communicated this clearly and just want to make money.
Excellent. Quick and easy to use. Made the transition after using Sibelius for 15 years. I really enjoy MUSESCORE and love that there’s a community of sharing scores and transcriptions.
Really good music sheets that are available to me :)
A lot off good music to find.
But also a lot of faults in the notes, you can't trust them.
As a professional you can correct it easy.
A beginner will run into desaster, if he played as noted.
Same here. I bought a score for approximately 1,3 dollars and I was charged for a premium 3 months subscription. Why?
I utilize the service on a mobile app and the desktop. It appears I am being double billed for this service. I have made multiple attempts to contact them to have this fixed and am only met with automated, unhelpful responses. Without a doubt, some of the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Stay away if at all possible.
At first I was impressed so I paid $119.99, then to get more access i had to pay another $59.99 and inspite of all of this, every time I want to download a sheet it asks me to pay another $4.99. Enough is enough. I canceled my membership and will only try to use it for a year - but I’m already turned off.
Only rating one star because it's the lowest available. Actual experience is negative stars. MuseScore is an ABSOLUTE SCAM! I bought a piece of sheet music and DID NOT sign up for a subscription. A couple of weeks later I received an email saying my subscription had been charged to my account. Looking at my bank account, no such charge appeared, so I thought the email was just spam. 8 DAYS LATER a 69.99 charge appeared. When I went to the site to cancel any subscription it showed that auto-renew was turned OFF. I asked for a refund and they did refund all but $5.99, saying that was all they could refund, but I didn't authorize even one penny past my purchase. SCAM SCAM SCAM.

So far, I'm having a very good experience. The interface is easy and I can find the music sheets quickly. There's tons of sheets! And I also like the training mode on the app.

So many good choices and versions of songs.
As a member, Many can be saved as a file that you can edit or transpose to fit your playing styles for free! Best I have ever used

not much to add that hasn't already been commented upon in the litany of one-star reviews posted before...
I purchased a $1.49 score and was later charged $69.99 for a subscription I had no idea I'd signed up for until a week later.
was able to claim a prorated refund, which got me ~most~ of my money after I contacted their support, but I was still out a couple bucks, as I was charged for a service I'd never used nor ever had any intention of using.
scummy company... i'm sure they'll reply to this with a link to their terms and services, as they have every other review on here
maybe, instead, try actually addressing the issues people are describing?
or do you not actually care about your customers?

They will take money for a subscription you don't want, and then, because you "don't meet their policy", won't refund you the full amount. So good luck using them!

I wanted to download a music score and explicitly said without subscription. However I was charged once for the song and two times a premium membership for. which I had not opted in to use. I found out they took more than 100€. And I am not even eligible for a refund.

Too money oriented on the website.

Hits you with a surprise pro subscription charge for $69.99 out of nowhere. Avoid!

Instead of auto-replies that are given with each review, Musescore really should consider what is being written and make some changes. It may lead to increased sales and revenue. Really! Musescore already has a bad predatory reputation. Most reviewers like the product but are afraid of committing to a membership. I will probably get an "auto-reply" to this review as well.

Musescore is in general very good but a couple of things are not.
1. You can no longer import a .pdf file for conversion to .mscz for FREE it now costs .99p per import.
2. When looking for specific sheet music on the internet musescore answers your query offering it for FREE, but when you visit the site it is not free.

MuseScore has extremely misleading UX and massive subscription charges which they will fight you on (unlike other auto-renewing subscription services).
I wanted to download 1 music score and in the process of paying for a simple subscription (MuseScore Membership) I was surreptitiously signed up for another pro account (MuseScore PRO+ subscription).
Why would anyone need two simultaneous subscriptions.
Super malicious UX - they love pointing out that "You agreed to this" i.e., in their fine print - but they know exactly what they are doing.
I hope more people leave negative reviews across the internet so that they are eventually pressured to behave in better faith in how they design their UX.
It is incredibly difficult to get brand trust back once you have lost it MuseScore!
