Very little accountability on the company. The seller will respond and say that the items can be picked or arranged but then later not further response is confirmed or made apparent and when refund was applied, there was no willingness for Maxsold to connect the seller and bidder. Brutally mismanaged platform. Especially because they run auctions for the exact same pick up times on the same days in places that are hours or so apart.

Well justs like a lot of other people say, if I could have rated them a zero, i would have. I have had so many issue with these people, yet I kept going back. I'm done now though. I bought a $25 metal meal tray with legs that had a cartoon logo on it, for my granddaughter. I get there, lots of people milling about, tell the dude what im picking up, he hands it to me without really looking at me and turned away. Of course, we had other things on the go, so it went into the back seat of the car. When we got home I discovered that one of the legs was completely broken. MAXSOLD refused to give me my money back. Instead of holding the auctioner responsible for their lack of transparency with broken goods, they refused to refund me my money - buyer beware was basically the spiel I got from them. IT IS THE LAST TIME I WILL EVER DEAL WITH THIS MAXSOLD OUTFIT. I have spent likely thousands of dollars on those auctions, what with their extortionist "buyers premium of 18% and then HST on top of that makes any "good deal" not so "good" anymore.

This service is a scam. First they don’t allow min. bids so a person can literally bid $1.00 on a very expensive piece and buy it for that. Next they charge minimum $100 for their service. Given the minimum bids allowed. It very hard to make any money. And with what little leftover that is mine, never deposited into my account. So ya. It’s a total SCAM for sellers

The seller is not obilgated to offer a second pickup date so if you can't make the one & only date, you have lost your money. What a awful way to treat a customer! Life happens and it's sometimes the case when you can't make the pickup date. The refund policy is such that anything under $30 isn't accounted for. Terrible policy. I deleted my account.

Items can be good but also can be junk I tried a few times nothing better than real auction sites done won't be back

As seller: BEWARE they dont tell you up front that they will take 30% of your earnings from the auction. It is buried at in the very last page of a 20 page agreement. To find this info you have to go to the settings icon in the right corner of your seller account, then scroll all the way down to agreement, then scroll down to the very end of the document (20ish pages) They do not disclose this to you as a seller. This is unethical. Do not use them as a selling platform. They take 15% from the buyers and 30% of your total sales. I can see 10 to 15% but a third of your sales is just ridiculous.

I have purchased numerous items from a dozen different Maxsold auctions. Whether they were run by the individual seller or by Maxsold, all the sales were as represented, workers were polite and helpful and pick-up was easy.
Yes, there is a stiff buyer's premium, which is uncommon in certain areas of the country but perfectly normal here.
If you read the auction terms, there will be no surprises.

I purchased an English riding saddle after the auction they put tape on the saddle with my name and when the tape was carefully pulled off it ripped the leather right off the saddle. They are unwilling to do anything for me. Be very wary of this company.

I recently purchased a number of items at a Ottawa Maxsold auction. Half of it was junk and should have been thrown out. I purchased and paid $90 for a perfume lot as the ones I wanted in the lot were the Channel products. The large Channel bottle was completely empty and the other 3 little bottles only had one top so two are useless. I asked for a refund as I believed they should have checked the items and showed in photos the missing tops and they said no. I was followed to each room for my items and had to rush as they were expecting more people and didn't have a chance to check all the items. Be very careful and check everything before you leave and don't be rushed! Maxsold should throw out all the junk and not include it in a lot so the buyer has to depose of it. Very disappointed as I have been a loyal customer for years but no more.

MaxSold has devolved mostly into taking customer money plus commission to clear locations for them. There used to be great deals and good customer service if there was a problem like: incomplete, non functional, missing parts, not as advertised as others have described. I no longer call support as they too often did nothing.

Maxsold fraud. Maxsold said Seller insisted on $20 to provide another date. "LIE" as per Seller.
Maxsold pocketed.
Prior to that, Maxsold was extremely difficult to deal with. Since they take your money before pickup, they win big time. Prior to auction: very polite. Once they have your money, unfriendly crooks.
Beware. Save yourselves and deal with reputable businesses.

You do not see pick up location till sale is over, as I set out to make my pick ups, I left my home in Connecticut going to Warwick RI first pick 10 am start, drove to west Bridgewater Mass pick up in the fine print was 8am to 10:30 am 70 miles from home no recourse available to me, Ripped off, done with this site

Items listed were completely misleading. Pictures misrepresented condition. Items were absolute garbage. Because I was so shocked, took the Items without dealing with it at pick up, Maxsold was basically " too bad." I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN

I won a $17,000 Auction from McFarland Auction Equipment and Sales, it was a SCAM and they did not deliver the Tractor I bought. Called the Police, so what, got scammed out of $17,000. They or out of Troy Hill Colorado. And I can tell you all the Police there are just as bad and just as lazy. Made a Report of Fraud, which I found out they have many of, and they did not even drive to that location, everything by phone. SCAM,SCAM,SCAM.

Be careful what you buy, they don't verify anything the sellers tell them. Picked up several paintings by famous artists, listed as original Oil canvas but they were just prints. Also picked up lots of silverware, I didnt notice until I got home there was stainless steel cutlery mixed in

I decided to use the Maxsold Managed Service to assist me with an estate. The service was extremely professional and very efficient. The cataloguing and website was completed quicker than I anticipated and the support I received from Maxsold during the online auction was excellent. The fees are on the high side but, in my case, well worth it as I would not have been able to achieve the same outcome without a huge amount of my own time and effort. Cesar Fuentes and all the team were first class. Thank you!

We had an issue picking up recent auction items/
We did not get what we bid and paid for- The items were misrepresented in photos and the item description clearly listed the items included in lot.
We notified Maxsold to resolve issue and they sided with seller.
We are long time Maxsold customers.
Buyer beware of what you are buying and condition of items as we found and purchased filthy, broken and missing items using Maxsold and let it pass.

I am a loyal regular customer of Maxsold (which shouldn’t matter). I placed bids on a number of items from one sale. I went online to pay the bill only to find that the seller was allowed to give it to the person who bid $1.00 less than me and I was charged a processing fee of approximately $80!

MS said it was the seller’s decision. I have never had this happen before. I didn’t even know a seller could or would be allowed to do this. The pick up date isn’t until tomorrow. After 2 rounds of debates MS waived the processing fee. What I wanted is for the seller to honour the sale. Interestingly all the other 10 items that I bought were left by the seller.

On another note, we purchased an armoire and bed for our daughter a while ago. The owner made some excuse when we went to pick the items up (no MS employees were there as it was seller managed). We moved part of the bed and put it in our vehicle and went back to move the rest of the order. The woman didn’t open her door. She said she paid a lot for the bedroom set and was upset she didn’t get more for it. We left the parts that we had already moved in her driveway. Maxsold gave us a refund. We asked them to try to speak to the seller on our behalf. A couple of days later the same items were listed by the same seller.

In both cases I don’t get why Maxsold doesn’t appear to protect buyer’s from sellers changing their minds.

BIG SCAM - I was bidding on 1 item and received an email. Hit to link and went to the site and found the bid I had placed never went on so I bid again. I then check my bids and had two items I never bid on. The view from my cell phone was different from my computer. Contact them Said too bad. Basically,. Tried to ask them to please remove my credit card as I don't care to ever go on this site again. NO RESPONSE . Terrible service is it a bot? NOT TRUST WORTHY
