With that in mind, meet Nook - our first unisex scent. Developed over a couple years of focus groups and testing, we've just launched it as experiment on Kickstarter. We're asking: 1/ Do women shop on Kickstarter 2/ Do women 'blind buy' in the same way men do? and, a bit less 3/ Can our brand appeal to women (anecdotally we know it already does, some of our stockists including Soho Farmhouse they already sell TC as a unisex brand and a significant minority of our direct customers are women) This experiment is limited to 199 bottles but if it's a success we will likely bring out more scents like this. If not (and that's a real possibility) we will regroup and work out what to try next. But very much hoping this is a success, as the team and fragrance are really great. Daniel Brown reacted on thisDaniel Brown reacted on thisNine years ago, I walked into a 2-hour interview at Mimecast’s old Watertown office with no sales experience or cybersecurity background, and a black eye from a pickup basketball game sustained earlier that week. Somehow, Mike List still took a chance hiring me for his team. This week, I officially wrapped up an incredible journey with the company… one that shaped me both professionally and personally in ways I’ll always be grateful for. I joined Mimecast in 2017 during the hyper-growth days on the SMB team, and many of those early office relationships remain close to this day. As I grew with the company, Mimecast continued to challenge me with new opportunities, eventually leading to relocate from Boston to Philadelphia in the summer of 2022 to support our enterprise segment. What stands out most about Mimecast is the culture that remained through its continued evolution. Peter Bauer often spoke about building a distinctive environment that empowers employees to do their best work, and I can confidently say I gave everything I had - helping the business grow while working alongside our customers to solve real cybersecurity challenges and protect their organizations. The mentorship, the leadership, and the people made all the difference. I’m proud of the impact we made together. To the many colleagues, mentors, and friends I met along the way… thank you - there are too many to continue to name here. From end of quarter pushes to Eagles Club trips, you made this chapter unforgettable. I’ll always be rooting for Mimecast and am excited to watch its continued leadership in human risk management. The growth, the lessons, and the people at Quickbase who pushed me every day made all the difference. Being honored and humbled to win Rookie of the Year and earning a spot at our Achievers Club in Rio de Janeiro are moments I’m proud of. None of it happens without the right support around you, teamwork makes the dream work! Huge thank you to Garret S., Neil Forbes, and Josh Allen for the guidance, trust, and commitment y'all bring to your craft. I’ve learned a ton from each of you and truly appreciate everything you’ve invested in my success. BIG shoutout to the Shetrawksi squad — thank you boys for keeping me honest, holding me accountable, and making the grind a lot more fun day in and day out. As a clock collector, I’ve always been drawn to a truth about timekeeping: the more precisely humans learned to measure time, the more it changed how we lived. Before mechanical clocks, time was local — marked by sunlight, seasons, and shared rhythm. The clock didn’t just make time more accurate; it made it authoritative. Work became scheduled. Life became segmented. Punctuality became a moral trait. I’m attaching a video of one of my favorite pieces: a late-1800s Morbier clock from eastern France. These clocks were built to be durable and legible, with iron movements and loud bell strikes. Clocks were never neutral instruments. They were technologies of alignment — synchronizing people, enforcing discipline across distance, and quietly reshaping power. That’s why this moment feels familiar. AI isn’t just helping us do things faster. Like the clock, it’s beginning to redefine how judgment, authorship, and accountability work — often before we’ve agreed on the rules.
