I don't understand why nearly all…

I don't understand why nearly all tickets are advanced. It means that if for any reason I have to cancel late then I can't get my money back(just lost another £34 because of this).Let's face it train companies are overselling anyhow as there are not enough seats available for the number of tickets sold. The whole system is wrong.

Gasgow to Manchester

The bus was on time and ran well,the driver was good.However for the 2nd time on the trot I had paid extra for a reserved seat and they were not available.(You should not sell them if they are not available) The general seat room is ridiculous(is it legal?)and for someone who is 6ft 4 pretty uncomfortable|impossible to sit in luckily I was first on so I got one of the few seats with legroom.The price was very good.
