Condor Business Class

I took a flight from JFK to HAM. The business class experience was amazingly good! Very nice lay flat seats and the food was so good. I travel a lot. This was very nice!!

I mean, if it's 3000 USD it's as good as "not allowed", so not displaying that clearly like most airlines, is not only illegal but dishonest.

One of the worst airline experiences…

One of the worst airline experiences I’ve ever had.

On October 8, 2026, my partner and I travelled with Condor from Rome to Cancún via Frankfurt.

Our booking through Flightnetwork already included checked baggage and cabin baggage. However, before departure, we discovered that our prepaid baggage allowances were not correctly reflected in Condor’s system.

We spent considerable time contacting both Flightnetwork and Condor trying to resolve the issue. I also paid €69 over the phone for an additional 5 kg of baggage allowance, something I had originally tried to purchase online.

Despite our efforts, we were forced to pay approximately €600 more at the airport in Rome for baggage that was supposed to be included in our original booking.

And after all that, neither of our two checked suitcases arrived in Cancún.

As of October 11, both bags are still missing, with no confirmed location or delivery date.

What makes this experience particularly frustrating is Condor’s customer service.

I’ve contacted them repeatedly, asking whether our bags were ever loaded in Rome, where they were last scanned, and which ground handling company was responsible.

Their response? They cannot access that information, cannot contact the baggage department, cannot escalate the case, and simply tell us to keep checking the same online tracking system.

Even identifying the company responsible for handling the luggage has been left to us.

Meanwhile, we’ve had to purchase replacement clothing, underwear and toiletries, and my essential work equipment is still inside one of the missing bags.

When asking about reimbursement, Condor again directs us to a complaint form, with an indicated processing time of 4–6 weeks.

I understand that baggage delays happen. What I find unacceptable is the complete lack of meaningful communication, accountability and assistance when something goes wrong.

We’ve spent significant additional money, lost access to our belongings and wasted hours trying to get answers that nobody seems able to provide.

Condor accepted our baggage, but when it failed to arrive, we were effectively left to investigate the situation ourselves.

I expected far better from an international airline.

I cannot recommend Condor based on this experience.

I will update this review if our luggage is returned and our reimbursement claims are resolved.

⭐ 1/5 — Condor Business Class: An Expensive Disappointment and Absolutely Unacceptable Premium Service

My wife and I flew Condor Business Class on October 9, 2026, after booking through American Express Travel. I can confidently say this was one of the most disappointing premium airline experiences I have had.

We paid a substantial premium for business class, expecting comfort, priority treatment, professional service, and an experience that justified the higher ticket price.

What we received was anything but premium.

Priority boarding was practically meaningless. Condor assigned business-class passengers to Zone 1, but economy passengers were also boarding in Zone 1 at the same time. There was no meaningful distinction or organized priority boarding process.

After landing, things were no better. We waited on the aircraft to disembark, received no meaningful priority as business-class passengers, and were then directed to a bus transfer with other passengers.

The business-class cabin itself was disappointing. The seating was uncomfortable, and the overall experience did not feel modern or luxurious.

What frustrates me most is the difference between what passengers pay and what they actually receive.

When an airline charges several times the price of an economy ticket for business class, it should deliver more than just a different seat. Premium travel should include better organization, comfort, service, and attention to detail.

I have flown with other airlines that operate much smaller aircraft yet manage to make premium passengers feel valued. Condor failed to do that.

My wife and I documented our experience with photographs, videos, and audio recordings.

Afterward, I also read numerous public reviews from other Condor passengers describing concerns about business-class seating, priority services, customer service, and complaint handling. Those reports are troubling, although I can speak firsthand only about our own experience.

My conclusion: Condor’s business-class experience did not justify the premium we paid.

I booked through American Express Travel expecting a quality premium product, and I am extremely disappointed.

I will be formally requesting an explanation and appropriate compensation from Condor and assistance from American Express Travel.

My recommendation: Think very carefully before paying a substantial premium for Condor Business Class. Based on our experience, I would not choose this airline again.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars.

One of the Most Disappointing Airline…

One of the Most Disappointing Airline Experiences – Absolutely Unacceptable Service

My experience with Condor Airlines was absolutely unacceptable. After a nine-hour flight, I can honestly say that the lack of comfort, poor customer service, and rude attitude of the cabin crew left me extremely disappointed.

First of all, my seat was broken. I had to ask the cabin crew two or three times to address the problem, yet they showed little to no interest in helping me. It was only after I became frustrated and spoke more firmly that anyone finally took the issue seriously. Having to repeatedly ask for basic assistance is unacceptable, especially when you are pregnant and need to be as comfortable as possible during a long flight.

What made the experience even worse was the lack of basic comfort. There were no blankets or pillows provided, and even headphones had to be purchased separately. The aircraft was extremely cold, so I asked whether an extra blanket was available. Instead of responding politely, the crew spoke to me in a rude and dismissive manner, telling me there were no extra blankets and that what they had was all they could provide.

I was already wearing warm clothes and doing everything I could to keep myself warm, yet I was still freezing. I was pregnant, sitting on a nine-hour flight, and simply asking for a blanket. Apparently, even a basic request like that was too much to expect. The lack of empathy and the way my request was handled were deeply disappointing.

The food options were also extremely limited unless you were willing to pay extra. While I understand that additional services may come at a cost, the overall experience felt like passengers were expected to pay more while receiving less in terms of basic comfort and service.

The biggest problem was not simply the lack of amenities; it was the attitude. Things can go wrong on a flight, but the way a company treats its passengers when problems arise says everything about its customer service. A broken seat can happen. Limited supplies may happen. But ignoring repeated requests for assistance and responding rudely to a pregnant passenger asking for a blanket is a completely different matter.

I was not asking for luxury, special privileges, or unreasonable.

I am extremely disappointed with my…

I am extremely disappointed with my experience flying with Condor Airlines. Unfortunately, the service and treatment we received throughout our nine-hour flight were far below expectations.

First, my wife’s seat was broken. I asked the cabin crew two or three times to come and fix it, but nobody took the issue seriously until I became frustrated and had to speak to them in a firmer tone. Only then did they finally come and address the problem. This was particularly upsetting because my wife is pregnant, and I expected the airline to show more care, understanding, and consideration.

Second, the food options were very limited unless we paid extra money to access other choices. I understand that airlines may charge for certain services, but the overall experience felt disappointing, especially on such a long flight.

Third, despite the flight lasting nine hours, we were not provided with basic comfort items such as blankets, pillows, or sheets. Even the headphones, which I would normally expect to be available on a long-haul flight, had to be purchased separately.

What disappointed me most was the lack of attention and the way the cabin crew handled our concerns. I should not have to ask repeatedly for help with a broken seat, especially when travelling with my pregnant wife.

Overall, this was a very frustrating experience. I expected much better customer service, comfort, and professionalism from Condor Airlines.

I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and improves its service so that other passengers do not have to go through the same experience.

I would appreciate a response from Condor explaining how they intend to address these concerns.

I’d Sooner Swim Across the Atlantic

I purchased two seats for my infant daughter and I through Condor and confirmed we were seated together by speaking on the phone with a customer service agent in advance of our flight. When we arrived to the airport, at check-in, agents said that my daughter was misidentified in their system as an adult. Despite her having been booked with a one-year-old birth date. No one knew how to change her to an infant in their system, their agents were rude, unhelpful, and pushed the issue back on to me. While calling Condor customer service per their recommendation, I was told that Condor could not change her in their system. They wouldn’t even book new tickets for us. At every point, Condor representatives were rude, but worse, no one was educated enough to solve the issue.

I’ve simply never had a worse experience at the airport or with an airline. I’m frankly speechless at how unhelpful Condor was and how little they understood their own system. Particularly when children fly regularly on their airline. I’d sooner swim across the Atlantic on a life raft than fly via Condor.

Friendly Crew, but a Stressful Desk Experience and Lost Luggage

I flew Condor from San Francisco to Munich with a connection in Frankfurt, and it was one of the most stressful travel experiences I've ever had.

To be fair, the flight attendants on the plane ride were very friendly and polite, and the food on the long-haul flight was okay. The flight itself was good and as comfortable as expected.

However, Condor's baggage system is so confusing online and felt more of a trap. I pre-paid for my bags online, but their website is confusing and only applied the payment from SFO to Frankfurt.

At the desk, the agents were very confused about my baggage receipt and told me to pay an extra $180 per bag just to get my luggage on the short connection from Frankfurt to Munich.

When I finally arrived in Munich, I discovered they had lost one of my checked bags. Being stuck in another country without your belongings is stressful enough, but trying to call Condor support made it worse.

The agents I spoke with seemed confused about when my luggage would arrive in Munich and didn’t give me a reference to which delivery service or crew I could call in order to ask for updates. One agent told me, 'You don’t speak English well' simply because he couldn't understand me when I was stating my confirmation code, and abruptly told me to just send an email instead of helping me on the phone.
The onboard crew is great, but Condor’s ground operations, hidden fees, and customer support are stressful to deal with. I did get my luggage two days after arriving in Munich.

This was the most child-unfriendly…

This was the most child-unfriendly airline experience I have ever had, and the way my family was treated was nasty. If you are traveling with a child, think very carefully before booking with them.

For context I was traveling with 4 different condor planes to Yerevan, Armenia from San Francisco, Ca. I’m the type that brings everything with me when traveling and I don’t ask for anything. On both my 11 hours flights I asked the staff for warm water once and they both denied to get me any for my baby’s formula. My baby is 1 year 4 months and I purposely brought formula and a thermos of warm water in case the plane did not provide milk/water and trust me they didn’t. I ran out the last 2 hours before we landed and my baby was hungry. I ended up giving him formula with cold water which I brought with me.

On our flight from San Francisco to Frankfurt, I asked for warm water or milk for my baby—something Condor’s website says is available. A flight attendant told me they would bring it right out. They never came back. They also spoke to other passengers with connecting flights about where to go after landing, but gave us no help.

On the flight back to San Francisco, my baby was crying on my lap. I asked a flight attendant for warm water to make his formula and explained exactly why I needed it. She told me to go to the back of the plane and get it myself. You wanted me to carry a screaming toddler through the entire plane for a cup of water while other passengers were sleeping? Are you serious? It felt like the staff were ready to help when someone wanted to buy alcohol, but getting water for my baby was too much to ask.

Almost every other four-seat row in the middle of the plane had an empty seat. Ours, with a one-year-old, did not. I know Condor wasn’t required to give us an extra seat. Seeing empty seats in the other rows while we struggled with our baby made the lack of care even more frustrating.

The Condor counter in San Francisco told me I would get my stroller back when we arrived in Germany. Instead, it was transferred to our next destination. We were stranded during a seven-hour layover with a 30-pound baby and nowhere for him to sleep except dirty airport seats. Our trip involved two connecting flights and took more than 22 hours with layovers. Having the stroller would have made a huge difference, and we were told we would get it back.

On the flight back, the attendants didn’t bring a belt for my baby until the plane was already moving. They had passed us without acknowledging that I needed one. When I finally got it, they stood there watching me put it on as though I had done something wrong by not asking for one. I’m sorry I’ve never ever needed to ask for one on previous flights, the staff would get me one before I even have to ask. I was already exhausted, and their attitude just pushed me over the limit.

My brother also got sick on the plane. When I asked staff for a barf bag, they rolled their eyes and walked away. By the time they returned, he had thrown up in the hallway between the occupied bathrooms. They brought only two bags, which he also threw up in, and nobody came back to check whether he was all right.

I am disgusted by how Condor staff treated my family. We needed basic help while traveling with a baby, and again and again we were ignored, dismissed, or met with an attitude. I don’t know how an airline can treat passengers this way and call it customer service. I will never fly with Condor again. Also, they did not offer anything for children.. no toys, snacks, drinks just absolutely nothing. Oh wait……..they offered him a life jacket which was nice at least they are trying to prevent someone from drowning.

I had a flight with Condor to Canada

I had a flight with Condor to Canada, and paid around 900EUR. When I got my baggage, it was damaged. I reported the damage and spent lots of time taking pictures and uploading them to the website. After 3 months of sending emails and calling them, they said I had to upload the report and send an email to have my case considered valid. They are not honest, and their service is very bad. It is better to pay a bit more and pick another airline.

Cancelled flight, wrong airport and difficult claims process

We booked Condor Business Class from Frankfurt to Gatwick on 13 September 2026 for a business trip. Our flight, DE4317, was cancelled at short notice and we were eventually rerouted onto Lufthansa LH918 — but to Heathrow instead of Gatwick.
Our car was parked at Gatwick, so once we arrived at Heathrow we then had to make our own way across to Gatwick by National Express at additional cost. We were still travelling between the airports after 9pm, when our original flight should have landed at Gatwick at 6:45pm.
The disruption itself was bad enough, but the claims process afterwards has made the experience considerably worse. Condor’s online compensation form repeatedly tells me “Booking Not Found”, even when selecting that the flight was booked through another provider. This means something that should be a straightforward compensation and expenses claim has become unnecessarily difficult.
We paid for Business Class and instead had a cancelled flight, uncertainty over replacement seats, arrival at the wrong London airport, extra transport costs and a very late return home.
I appreciate that flights can occasionally be cancelled, but how an airline deals with passengers afterwards makes a huge difference. In this case the disruption and subsequent difficulty simply trying to submit a claim have left me very disappointed.

Our Condor flight DE2361 from Bangkok…

Our Condor flight DE2361 from Bangkok to Frankfurt was delayed because the crew arrived late at the airport after being stuck in traffic.

What makes this especially unacceptable is that Bangkok had been experiencing heavy rain since the morning, with serious traffic congestion throughout the day. This was not a sudden or unforeseeable situation. The difficult road conditions had been obvious for many hours.

For an airline operating a long-haul international flight, the crew should plan accordingly and leave significantly earlier when such conditions are already known. Passengers are expected to arrive at the airport early and allow extra time for traffic, so it is astonishing that the operating crew apparently failed to do the same.

In my view, this shows an extremely irresponsible lack of operational planning. A long-haul flight carrying hundreds of passengers should not be delayed because the crew did not allow enough time to reach the airport under conditions that were clearly foreseeable.

To make matters worse, there was also very poor communication from Condor. We received no proper advance notification and were left waiting without timely or useful information.

Delays caused by genuinely unexpected circumstances can happen. But a crew arriving late because of traffic on a day when heavy rain and congestion had already been ongoing since the morning is a completely different matter.

This experience has seriously damaged my confidence in Condor.
