We have used Audley Travel several times to plan family holidays. They always do a fantastic job - right from the start they make an effort to understand our requirements and to suggest several options that are suitable. They work to your budget but are able to offer other options if required too. Their knowledge of the countries and the local partners is outstanding. Their communication before any trip is extremely thorough and they ensure you are well prepared for everything you need. Their support whilst away is excellent - we had a small issue (no one's fault) while we were away and had to contact the 24 hour helpline who were able to resolve everything without any problems. We would highly recommend them for any bookings and we will definitely use them again.

A great experience travelling in southwest Japan with no problems throughout the planning, booking or traveling cycle. The Audley agent listened closely to our wishes and put together a detailed plan for our travel and was in frequent contact with us. Audley were well supported by their partner in Japan booking excellent hotels, seemless local travel arrangements and informative guides.

So I have to thank Audley Travel for resolving my issues with my holiday. Thank you Lisa Martin for dealing with it.

This is the second time that we have used Audley to book a ‘trip,of a lifetime’. The first was to Chile while this time we went to Southern Africa.

I'm so pleased and thankful that I found Audley Travel. In 2025 my husband and I wanted to travel to Italy in the summer of 2026 to celebrate my husband's birthday. Italy has been on my husband's wish list, forever. We had not traveled to Europe before and honestly did not know where to start. But we knew we wanted our trip to be special and memorable. I came across Audley's website, it was beautiful and informational. I called and got introduced to our wonderful agent, Rebecca Mechura, which she specializes in Italy's region. Rebecca listened very intently from our very first phone call. She asked what we wanted to experience and all the details. Afterwards, Rebecca made suggestions and gave tips. Always reassured us that she would work hard at putting together a trip to our satisfaction. Rebecca put together an awesome package and itinerary within our budget. It took a few revisions to align the details to our satisfaction, but Rebecca was patient, always helpful and kind. The planning of our trip was a little less than a year out. Rebecca kept in regular touch, always promptly getting us all the information needed and always available for any questions that popped up.
When trip time arrived and we were actually in Italy, every single detail from the time we landed to arriving back, state side was absolutely "perfect." The excursions, sightseeing, tours, transportation, accommodations, recommendations were all more than we expected. Our experience with Audley Travel exceeded our expectations and we can't speak highly enough about the service and personal care we received from Rebecca Mechura. Audley Travel will definitely be our "go to" when wanting a luxury, memorable travel experience. We hope to be clients for life. 😊

Thanks to Ben Attenborough and Audley Travel, we have just had a wonderful trip to South Africa. We simply gave Ben our budget and he took it from there. Our experience with Audley was fab. From the initial conversations with Ben Attenborough, to the working out the route and experiences to have, the whole trip was seemless and wonderful. Any questions were answered promptly and with good grace and humour, I was left knowing we were in good and safe hands!Ben's knowledge of the locations was very good, and it was a comfort to know he knew the hotels personally. Upon return, it was great to have a catch up to share any comments we had and to know that what we had to share makes a difference. I am also impressed with how pleasant the rest of the staff are, its so nice to be greeted by name when you phone up, it make you feel valued. I will happily use them again!!!

We wanted a special trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary and wanted to go on safari with a tropical beach stay for afters. We knew of Audley from friends and knew they were good, but our experience was far more than we could have wished for. We chatted with our Audley specialist Andy Freeman and he arranged an amazing itinerary in South Africa. With a brilliant safari in the Kruger, time in Cape Town and Franschhoek in the wine lands and then a relaxing romantic week in Mauritius. Andy’s knowledge and experience was a real benefit, but the attention to detail was incredible. Audley really do go beyond to cover all aspects and provide so much extra information to help you have a great experience. Thank you Andy and Audley for a wonderful trip.

Recent trip to two game reserves in Kenya went without hitch superbly recommended by Audley and backed up by superbly organised and implemented travel arrangements at every calling point

Would have preferred to give this company zero stars, but not an option. Poor communication, lousy customer service and a concern for my safety led me to cancel my 28 day trip and forfeit my significant deposit. I too was taken by the high ratings on this site for Audley Travel. I briefly looked at the comments for the one star ratings and assumed they were one-off events. After walking away from my deposit, I returned to the reviews and realized a number of the 2 and 3 star reviews had similiar and often even more complaints than those of us in the 1 star category. My conclusion: as with anything, statistically, some things will go wrong for some folks. The question is will you be one of them? This company seems to either do things really well or really badly. I could never tell if it was just the individual agent I worked with or part of the corporate culture that encouraged poor customer service by default. Some my issues were r/t my inexperience w/ this type of international travel. I decided to go w this group as I wanted to travel solo and thought they would proactively offer help through the process, esp for the price of their services. I did eventually request to talk w/ a supervisor who was as helpful as the situation would allow - lesson learned, should have requested to talk w/ them the minute the agent dropped the ball on communicating w/ me.

Outstanding service from initial conversations about options and right through the entire trip. First class experience, Robyn our agent fully understood our needs, meticulously researched options and planned a trip that met and exceeded everything we could wish for. We were kept updated at all times and felt fully informed of requirements and travel info, etc. including a detailed doc folder containing everything we needed. The safari was an unforgettable experience, outstanding guide who was gave us a once in a lifetime trip. We cannot rate the overall trip, including 5 days in Zanzibar enough.

I can confirm that we were delighted with the service we received from Audley and our advisor Czeska. The hotel at Johannesburg airport was excellent and although there was a slight mix up in the booking names which was the hotel's fault not Audley's it was quickly resolved. Also, the service I received as a result of missing to take our malaria tablets on time was excellent and our flights and transfers rearranged smoothly. The lodge was excellent and fully catered to my husbands dietary restrictions well. The room was extremely nice and well presented with excellent facilities. I would highly recommend it. The tour guide Wienand was brilliant and incredibly knowledgeable as well as great fun. All the staff were so friendly and helpful I have no complaints.

We were a group of 8 celebrating a big birthday on safari and Harriet was wonderful from start to finish after taking over from Peter. Every detail was taken care of with different dietary requirements and room set ups! The two camps we stayed at were simply fantastic and relaxing in Zanzibar was wonderful. First class accommodation and nothing was too much trouble for Audley. It was the best holiday ever! Thanks Harriet!

I was recommended to use the services of Audley Travel when wanting to book a particular hotel - namely the Giraffe Manor Hotel in Kenya - and am so grateful that I followed their advice.
They delivered on booking the hotel and from that built a bespoke itinerary of safari trips with Asilia who were simply outstanding with their customer service and knowledge of the bush.
My point of contact at Audley (in my case Ben Attenborough) was always on hand to clarify any queries I may have, although these were very few, as Audley thought of everything to make my holiday exceptionally memorable.

I took my daughter and her partner on a safari in Nyerere National Park Tanzania followed by 5 days in Zanzibar. We had the most wonderful experience at the Selous Impala Camp; the accommodation, food and staff were all excellent most notably our driver and guide Shebani who ensured we saw as many animals as we possibly could and who was extremely knowledgable. We could not fault it. We then had five days in Zanzibar; two at the Park Hyatt in Stone Town and 3 at Pongwe Beach Hotel on the East Cost. We loved Zanzibar; Stone Town is facinating and the beach at Pongwe magical and the perfect way to relax after the excitement of the Safari. In short, it was the vacation of a lifetime.
We were indebted to Marcha who organised the trip and for all her help and experience especially as we strayed a little from the standard safari schedule. Everything went smoothly with the exception of one small blip which is being investigated. This is not the first time I have travelled with Audley and it won't be the last. As a company they are so reliable, knowledgeable, helpful and on call 24/7.

We recently arrived back from our South African holiday, and can honestly say that was our best holiday ever! From our early conversations with Ben Attenborough we knew Audley Travel was sending us on a trip to remember. All the planning went like clockwork, from being picked up at airports or taken on our numerous trips, we experienced lovely people throughout the holiday. We saw much more than we envisaged and there was never a dull moment.The highlight of the trip was visiting the Bateleu safari camp in the Timbavati game reserve and was so enjoyable that we would seriously consider going there again. The staff, the camp and of course seeing animals in their natural habitat were incredible...I could go on endlessly !
I would definitely recommend Audley Travel and Ben Attenborough to family and friends-thank you for the experience and enjoyment.

We have just returned from a safari in Tanzania at 2 different locations, followed by a beach holiday in Zanzibar. Everything was organised for us by Isabelle Evans who created a dream trip with seamless transfers, perfect locations and lovely accommodation.
She actually suggested an alternative to our original destination choice which was North Tanzania and persuaded us to try Southern Tanzania. Having spoken to people who went to the North, we were so grateful to have gone to the South as we had a truly authentic experience which was incredibly peaceful with much fewer vehicles and opportunities to get very close to the wildlife.
Our accomodation was wonderful, both in Tanzania and Zanzibar.
After coming off a flight there was always a representative ready to meet us and to get us to our next destination. Having done 7 flights this was pretty impressive. There were absolutely no hitches or difficulties.
Our trip was organised in a very professional manner with great communication throughout.
