I have been using Libreoffice for years and it is a good office suit, but, it has three programs I would never use. The office suit takes a lot of memory and as you type in writer the words lag behind. Among a few other minor details. I always looked for stand alone programs in one office suit. Now we have it, and it's great. Ashampoo Office 27. Yes it's a one time low payment and it has three stand alone programs. There are to much great things about it to list but as a novel writer one thing I needed was to check my writing in an AI for misspelled words then copy it and put it back in Writer in the same format it was in. And Office 27 did that and more. Very compatible with MS office. I would never buy MS Office I hated using it when I did. Ashampoo Office 27 has it over MS Office.

I have Ashampoo Burning Studio and Home Design. I don't use Home Design too often so I can't accurately review that.
However, when it comes to burning media, I can testify that Ashampoo Burning Studio works GREAT and is easy to use. It is my goto app for disk media creation!!!!

The CD burning software is absolutely fantastic. Very easy to use and perfect results every time. Can't praise it highly enough.

For many years I was a happy customer of Ashampoo and bough different products. Then I bought a half year ago the Backup Pro 27 update. It's buggy and does work much worst den then 26 version. I contacted the support and they promised me to fix the problem. Since them I ask multiple times if the problem is fixed now. First I got unfriendly answers because I did request for an update and now I didn't get any response on my requests. Maybe the good times of Ashamppo are over.

Excelent support even for reinstalling old software on new PC.
I'm impressed!
Software (Ashampoo Snap) also works well; I rarely use it, but when I need to capture video from screen, etc, it's what I use.

I have been a loyal supporter of Ashampoo software for a long time, but I have finally closed my account and deleted their software for good.

While they still make a few decent core utilities, their business model has shifted aggressively toward predatory, fear-based marketing. My breaking point was receiving email blasts aggressively promoting third-party software like Abelssoft's "SSD Fresh" alongside their own "Driver Updater."

Both of these products are complete snake oil. Modern operating systems (Windows 10 and 11) have natively handled SSD optimization and stable driver management completely flawlessly in the background for over a decade. Selling placebos that rely entirely on scaring non-technical users into thinking their hardware is failing or running hot is shameful. Worse, third-party driver updaters are notorious for pulling generic drivers that can actively destabilize a PC.

Ashampoo clearly knows that tech-literate users see straight through these tactics, but they seem perfectly content to alienate their long-term loyal customer base to make a quick profit off less-savvy users who panic-buy.

When I closed my account in protest, I received a cold, automated confirmation with zero acknowledgment of this feedback. If you understand how a modern PC works, avoid this ecosystem. There are plenty of fantastic, lightweight, and honest open-source alternatives out there that don't rely on manufactured anxiety.

For the most part their apps/softwares does what it purports to do, in the description of their product profiles. I have several, some I've renewed if I think they offer a function that helps me with time, convenience, or makes my devices better in function, speed, and security. I don't generally purchase their creator or design apps as they seem rather mid or not up to par to industry standards. But for their utilities, I'd give them a try. What I dislike so much about Ashampoo is their annoying, incessant advertising of their products, or upgrades. The updates would be fine, but these important software updates are usually accompanied by ads for upgrades or new other apps. If I already purchased the app, why would you keep trying your marketing on me and selling me more products. It makes most consumers like me NEVER consider purchasing ever again from you. This is the same with Norton Products. Or similar antivirus/pc optimizer programs. They are annoying AF with their marketing strategies.

This application is very good. "What You Hear" loopback feature is really great. It has a good recording quality, it's fast and lightweight as an app, a really useful tool with my guitar recordings. Thank you so much, you made my life a lot easier.

This product isn’t worth the hassle. The license system breaks constantly, requiring you to re‑enter your key every time you open it — and even then it may not activate. Support can reset it, but the process drags on for days.

set it and let it go

I made backups of my Windows 11 system disk with Ashampoo backup 27. I'm trying to restore my disk (SSD, 900GB) from a backup on an external HDD. It's taken 32 hours so far and is still not finished. Repeated requests for advice from Ashampoo's so-called help desk have gone unanswered. Anything from this company should be avoided like the plague.

Since I posted this, Ashampoo has replied saying they respond to help requests within 72 hours. I got a reply after 36 hours which basically told me they couldn't help. They want me to send a log if the restore ever completes so they can do a postortem. The Ashampoo restore console provides zero diagnostic information when running. Backup is routine, but a restore is an emergency situation. Make sure you get a system that works when things go wrong. That's not Ashampoo

Tried to purchase from the site only to be left for a day and my payment to be declined twice now. I have used 2 different cards now with no luck at all and i have been put off buying any product from ashampoo again as of this day. It does not take a full 24hrs to check a payment only to be declined and being told its your cards not cleverbridge.
