Great price, fast shipping, great product!

On October 1, 2026, I placed an order with BikeTiresDirect (Order #3352594) for three Garmin products: an Edge 540, a Varia RTL515, and an HRM 200.

The order confirmation showed a total of $696.12, including $66.15 in sales tax. However, the order documentation showed quantities of zero and subsequently indicated that the order had been cancelled.

When I contacted customer service, the representative, Omar, suggested that it might be a display glitch. Despite this explanation, the order was cancelled, and I was not given a clear explanation of what had happened.

My concern is not simply that the order was cancelled, but that the discrepancy between the confirmed order, the displayed quantities, and the cancellation was never adequately explained.

I am sharing this experience so other customers can be aware of what happened and carefully verify their order confirmations, order status, and payment records when shopping online.

I believe customers deserve clear communication and a transparent explanation when a confirmed order is cancelled.

Update: I will update this review if BikeTiresDirect provides a satisfactory explanation and resolution.

Thank you for your reply. I would like to provide some additional context regarding my order.

I intentionally placed the order under the name Thais Silva, who is my relative and was staying at the hotel in Chicago where the package was to be delivered. I used her name because she would be the person staying at the hotel and available to receive the delivery. The payment was made using my own credit card.

My intention was simply to ensure that the package could be received by the person staying at the hotel.

I understand from your message that BikeTiresDirect does not ship to hotels or temporary residences. However, I was not aware of this restriction when placing my order, and I cannot recall seeing this limitation during checkout. I would appreciate it if you could clarify where this policy is disclosed to customers before they complete a purchase.

For context, I also purchased a product directly from Favero Electronics in Europe, which shipped the order to the United States and delivered it successfully. This experience contributed to my understanding that receiving an online purchase at a hotel would be feasible, although I understand that different retailers may have different policies.

My main concern is that, when I first contacted customer service, I was told that the issue might be a display glitch. The subsequent cancellation was explained differently, and I was left without a clear understanding of what had happened.

Could you please clarify whether the cancellation resulted from the hotel delivery address, the difference between the recipient's name and the cardholder's name, or both?

This is a reveiw of mulitple orders from B.T.D,Six orderes since 12 March 2026. Five were for verious SCHWALBE TIRES AND TUBES,all of witch are performing great.My family fleet is growing and the SPICER TIRES and tubes make keeping everyone riding easy. On 20 May 2026 I ordered new SHIMANO SH-RC703 shoes",I " clicked the wrong size at check out,one call toB.T.D.and they took care of it!

I've been buying bike components and supplies for years from BTD. great customer service, great prices and if you find it cheaper somewhere else they match really well. It is my go to and have never had a bad experience with them.

Always have what I want at reasonable prices. I’ve been a member for years but mostly bought from Western Bike Works which evidently is the same company.

The product I ordered late one evening was shipped early the next day. It arrived at the destination in perfect condition and was exactly the item I ordered. I will be ordering from them again when I need new products for my road and mountain bikes.

Probably my own ineptitude, but I could not find a tire that I was looking for on the website. However, having previously purchased several times from BikeTiresDirect, I figured it was worth a quick call to check. Very glad I did, because the call turned out to be friendly, efficient, and successful. Two days later I had the tire and I am now better prepared for riding in the fall weather.
