Review of Frames Direct

No delivery and poor service

After the date for delivery had passed I contacted FramesDirect. Received a reply that acted like I had just ordered, instead of several weeks earlier. The reply obviously didn't check the order and said to wait the normal shipping period (which of course had already passed). No acknowledgement of the delay. Took my business elsewhere.

Vapor.com is very shady

Vapor.com is very shady. When my first attempt (12/22/24) was allegedly sent to the wrong address to be returned to sender, they told me it was my fault and that I had typed the address incorrectly. While waiting on the promised refund, I reordered the same items (1/2/25), this time I took a screen shot to make sure I had entered correctly. Sure enough, this second order mysteriously went to the wrong address. In other words for a second time my address was mysteriously changed by vapor.com. I suspect they do not have the stock in inventory or are insolvent. I find it very concerning that my two orders experienced the same unrequested interference (changing the address) and that also both orders somehow had the same invoice number, even though 3 weeks apart. Also how did they purport to age verify as required by law if the address they are using does not match my address of record? I provided them with the order number and order dates, and screenshot showing the address I used, but received no reply from the business.

Complete scam

Complete and utter scam located nowhere near the airport as claimed - like 10 miles away. Paid for parking, then another 30 backs for an Uber. Should be able to trust the basic premise of a business but these guys are criminals. They don't allow negative reviews to be posted. The fact they remain in business is an indictment on society. and utter

Review of Extreme Wheels

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

If they are out of stock they will charge the customer a cancellation fee

I ordered a set of 4 Vertini brand "Hennessy" wheels from the extremewheels.com website. The wheels were chosen for their unique design and also in the particular diameter, offset and bolt pattern that would work with my car. After my order remained in "pending" for a few days, I called extremewheels and was told that they wheels were not in stock and were no longer in production. Despite the wheels being listed on their website, they could not fulfill the contract because they could not supply the item that was to be supplied under the contract between myself as purchaser and they as seller. Presumably the seller did not want to cancel because they wanted to try and sell me on some other wheels (I am told this is common practice in the custom wheel market) but if the wheels were impossible to get as they said, then it would make no sense for them not to cancel at my request. It is not even a true cancellation, the contract itself should be voided as if it never was because performance by the seller is an impossibility. The contract was for a specific named item and not just for general interchangeable goods. Since extremewheels was just letting the order sit until they got around to me, I told them to cancel and refund me so I could go and get my second choice before that also sold out. Extremewheels said there "might be a cancellation charge" I laughed at them. What company charges the customer a fee because the COMPANY DOES NOT HAVE WHAT WAS ORDERED??? But sure enough, extremewheels issued only a partial refund. They refused to refund the last $202.50. I complained to PayPal who have been very unhelpful it not being able to see that what the seller is doing is fraud. The seller has effectively stolen my money because they could not perform their own contract. I am sure they have done this to other seller's as well. PayPal is asking for this report as extremewheels have repeatedly refused PayPal's request to refund the remaining $202.50. Extremewheels should be shut down for fraud. What they have done is knowingly list unavailable products to bait prospective purchasers, take their money, and then extort the purchaser to buy something else they don't want or lose some 15% of the order value for something that is only within the seller's control and not the purchaser's. It's not my fault they list unavailable products on their website. It is not my fault they are out of stock. It hasn't even cost them anything to cancel the voided contract because nothing was shipped on no costs were incurred in relation to the invisible product they don't have.

One of the few retailers still stocking…

One of the few retailers still stocking the better looking older version of this shoe. List price was consistent with other sellers but took advantage of coupon so it came a little cheaper than the competitor and Shoebacca return policy looks solid. Bonus point for the creative store name.

Review of Mercari U.S.

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Sellers frequently cancel sales without penalty

About a third of the purchases I've made through Mercari have been cancelled by the seller. No explanation is provided, and Mercari allows them to continue selling. Whether the seller suddenly decides to try again for a better price or messed up on the shipping costs, or never had the item to begin with, there is no penalty for them not honoring the sale. This is really disappointing because you miss out on other opportunities thinking you had already made a purchase and then after the sale is cancelled, the other item is no longer available. Mercari would be much more trustworthy if the seller had to pay compensation for cancelled sales, like 10-15%. But they don't want to do that as it would discourage sellers and instead prefer to inconvenience the buyer.

don't trust them, they never ship your order

Terrible. Waited more than two months for my order as they kept changing the shipping date. Then they update my account saying "might be out of stock". What? Is this a guessing game, am I supposed to decipher what they have in their warehouse. Absolutely clueless company does not deserve to be in business a minute longer.

They don't want your business

They don't want your business. I spent 15 minutes in the online chat trying to get a price match for some rubber floor mats. I emailed through the competitor listing and was told I would get email a price. It never arrived, even after I followed up by email. Meanwhile I am stuck waiting. I ended up getting a much cheaper price with faster delivery from one of the major hardware stores.

Review of MagnaFlow

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

They know nothing about exhausts or customer service

So they have errors in their product selector which flows through to all their distributors who are just using the exact same selector. RRP is set artificially high by the manufacturer to allow the distributors to offer a 10 to 20% discount - there is absolutely no reason to ever pay the RRP. They tried to sell me a naturally aspirated exhaust for my turbo vehicle. Even after I provided data on wheelbase and output (and Ford/Lincoln OEM part numbers that showed the sister vehicles using the same exhaust) they continued to recommend the wrong product. So dumb. Had I listened to them I would have been out of pocket for having to remove the OEM exhaust, attempt install, reinstall OEM and send the Magnaflow product back. Maganflow's customer service is appalling. Perhaps the worst ever because even after numerous emails, letters, diagrams etc. they just did not give a crap at all. Utterly unhelpful and a really bad company when it comes to caring about their customers.

Review of Connoisseur.Online

Connoisseur Auctions deceptive and misleading valuations

Connoisseur Auctions via LiveAuctioneers and Invaluable auction a lot of "Tiffany" stained glass products that are brand new mass-manufactured items that are definitely not Tiffany (they are distributed under the "Chloe" label out of Texas). They put on estimate on these items that are 2-4 times the purchase price of the same items on eBay and Amazon. There is no ethical way an auction house can put an estimate on an item that is higher than its purchase price available elsewhere, because that purchase price has to be the highest possible estimate. What this means is that they are deliberately attempting to deceive a purchaser into thinking the item is worth more than it is, even though they know it is not.

Review of Giztop

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

No idea of customer service AVOID

I ordered a phone on the 27th of February. The first issue was that the phone arrived more than a week after the longest delivery estimate. The second issue was that it did not work, even though it was supposedly compatible with the carrier bands. I spent two hours troubleshooting with my provider which was a pain. Then I had to pack up the phone and take it to the post office to send it back, which Giztop said needed to be by the cheapest method (i.e. slowest). I had to suggest that they reimburse me for the return postage because they didn't think of it. So a month to get the phone, 2-3 weeks for it to get back to Giztop, and then it would be another month before a replacement would arrive. Even getting a refund instead of a replacement would mean about 10-12 weeks of being stuck with my old phone which is literally falling apart and has a battery that barely gets through 5 hours of light usage. Then I found that Giztop had multiple versions of the phone on their website, so I said that the one they sent me must be locked to Chinese carrier bands. They denied this. So then I had to spend more time searching their own website because they wouldn't believe me. In the end I found three different listing with different prices and descriptions. Giztop was unhelpful because they made me do all the work "oh, please send us the link". Why am I sending links to products that they have listed on their own website. Giztop should pay me a wage for the work I have done for them. Then despite me filling out the customs form exactly as described by Giztop, the returned phone has been held at customs. So I ask Giztop to look into it and they say "oh we can't check tracking can you send the link". Of course all the tracking information was included on the copy of the the postage receipt I send to them two weeks before. Another example of how lazy and unhelpful Giztop is. I have probably sent them 30 emails because they never answer all questions, they give the quickest answer, so then you have to write another email...and the process just repeats and repeats. So right now I am more than $600 USD out of pocket, 37 days after my order and I am no closer to having a phone that works and I am about to raise a fraud case against Giztop to get them locked out of the U.S. market.
