Treatment In the Comfort of Home

One very early morning, I woke up from a reoccurring skin irritation on my hand. I needed a specific ointment, stronger than cortisone. Within 30 minutes of my request, I was speaking to a specialist from the comfort of my home.

There was no drama, no long lines, just the facts. Thereafter, I was provided with the prescription I needed.

Verizon Wireless Cell Phone Router Connection

I own and use and Adroid HD RAZR as my router since I live in the sticks. I decide to replace the "Sleek 4G" mobile signal booster in my house with an 18" antenna. (Not the short antenna that came with the unit). I used this for years.
I decided to replace the "Sleek $G" with the weBoost 470103 Connect 4G Signal Booster Kit after speaking with customer service.

The placement of the "Sleek 4G" had been in a backroom that is on an outside wall. The highest signal I received throughout its usage was 11 mb download and about 7 mb upload.

I moved the unit from the back bedroom to my living room and the "Sleek 4G" worked but was dramatically slower. Upon setting up the "weboost", my signal strength improved but sporadic.

The best download speed is about 12 mb and the upload speed is about 8 mb. The lowest I receive is 2-3 mb download and 1-2 upload. I cannot say for sure whether its because of the amount of users online for the degraded mb or the placement of the indoor antenna or both.

Upon their recommendation, I placed the indoor antenna in our attic facing down. The lights all are always green. The length of the wire leading from the exterior antenna to the unit in the attic is 35'.

Reply from Wilson Amplifiers

Hi Rick, thank you for your review and I'm sorry to hear about the sporadic service. If the lights are all green, then I would recommend recalibrating the outside antenna. The best way to do that would is to measure dB gain (https://www.wilsonamplifiers.com/cell-phone-signal-booster-guide#4). After the outside antenna is pointed at the optimal direction towards the tower, unplug and replug the power supply.

If nothing changes, then you would be correct about the amount of users online. I'd recommend some speed tests and see when it's the slowest and fastest. If the it's consistent (for instance, slow speeds at 9PM compared at 12AM), then it would confirm your assumption.

As for the indoor antenna, although it's fine to have the antenna facing down, we usually recommend them placed on a wall. Upon looking at our records, I noticed you purchased the Sleek 4G from us but not the signal booster. It's somewhat rare for our customer support to suggest ceiling solutions. Hope this helps and have a great day.
