Once a book has been read and marked as read, if you accidentally click on the title is no longer is marked as read. Annoying. Another problem is longevity. My last reader lasted just two years then l... See more

slightly smaller than Libra 2
disappointed that the Libra color does not fit into the Libra 2 sleep cover (similar dimension but just a bit smaller so that it always slides out)

4⭐️Kobo libra colour/ 0.5-1⭐️Kobo plus
4⭐️First of all, absolutely LOVE my kobo libra colour. I don't know how I went without for so long!! Would highly recommend an e-reader.
HOWEVER, this is where they get .5-1⭐️ Unfortunately OUR version of Kobo Plus is TERRIBLE. So save your money!!! Every book I go to search - not available on OUR kobo plus.. American kobo plus though?? They've got a plethora of a catalog. Very annoying, the states always get the wider selection with their subscriptions and we are left paying Canadian prices rather then having them in our subscription as well. Anywho, seriously save yourselves the money! Sideload or rent from library, you'll have better luck finding what you're actually looking for.
It's just too bad. I really wanted to support Kobo, Kobo plus but they're really making it hard with little to no selection. So for myself, I will be getting rid of kobo plus as its a true waste of money at the moment.

I ordered a Kobo Libra Colour back in…
I ordered a Kobo Libra Colour back in February 2026 after watching many many reviews on it. I had an old kindly from 2014 that i wasnt using and thought I'd upgrade. I Love my Kobo Libra colour and couldnt be happier. I know the colour is a bit more grainy than on non colour e-readers but simply seeing the colours of the books when you lock it and being able to highlight in colour motivates me to read. I find the battery to be long lasting too! I have seen that since I bought mine the price has gone up by £30 though but I think it is still worth it.
It sometimes does glitch or randomly restart.
Excellent customer service
They gave me a discount on a new Kobo e-reader after my old one died even though it was out of warranty.
What I love about Kobo is that it allows me to download and read library books.
Kobo platform clunky - doesn’t sync with Libby
The Kobo platform is clunky and doesn’t sync with Libby. My primary interest was using it to read library books. It hasn’t been useful for this purpose. I’ve only gotten it to work a couple of times and it required re-installing my library card and re-syncing and all sorts of trouble shooting each time. Too much hassle. Disappointing. When it did work it was nice, but I wish I would have researched similar complaints on Reddit and bought something else with a more streamlined process. $150 wasted.

So many pros that kindle basic does NOT have.
I thought it was a little small at first but I absolutely love the kobo clara bw. I'm so glad I listened to all the rave about it and invested in it. Love love love! And no amazon!
Sturdy, very portable, access to my local library through Overdrive using Libby that is already connected to the kobo, warm light option, dark view option, kobo plus half the price of kindle unlimited and a lot of good options, NO ADS and not because I paid to have them removed, lots of reading view customization, easy to get the hang of, waterproof which is good i guess haha. Anyway, I love it and cant stop talking about it!
Love my e-reader
I have wanted a e-reader for a while and I love my Clara color. I didn't think I would want to read books on an ereader, but it's definitely made reading a little easier. I also love that I can connect my library to it.
I just switched from a kindle
I just switched from a kindle. I am loving it so far for the most part. I love the buttons and the screen is nice on the eyes. And I love the page turner remote. I am having issues with Libby..I have to continually log out and log back in to be able to borrow books. But other than that it’s great! Definitely happy I took the leap.
Refurbished ereader stopped working…
Refurbished ereader stopped working after one week. Replacement has not yet arrived after almost one month. Warranty on replacement won’t reflect delay. I feel cheated.

Great hardware, but software and data stability need serious work
I have an update with respect to my Kobo. I initially gave it 5 stars, and while there are still things I love about it, a few major issues have surfaced over time. Mind you, I am an avid e-reader who is constantly reading without taking breaks, so small friction points quickly turn into major headaches.
As much as I enjoy the Kobo Libra Colour, I've run into a couple of deal-breakers. First, the annotation handling can be very frustrating: if you accidentally tap a highlighted sentence that spans across a page break, or try to view a note on the page, the entire note and highlight can completely disappear (still happens!!)
More concerningly, an unexpected software update which turned out to be a beta release rolled out without clear warning, messed up my device entirely. I suddenly couldn't highlight across page breaks, and my bookmarks wouldn't clear when I tried to remove them.
So, when I used the device's option to revert to the previous software, it wiped all my data like if I was unboxing the Kobo all over again. Over 600 reading hours and an enormous library of sideloaded e-books were completely gone. 😵
While I appreciate receiving an email from Kobo acknowledging the data loss and noting that the beta issues have been addressed, I haven't connected my device back to Wi-Fi since, as I am hesitant to risk another unexpected update. A friendly piece of advice to Kobo: please make beta software strictly opt-in rather than rolling it out automatically. Many of us just want stable, polished software and have no patience or time for beta testing.
Because of how long it takes to organize and sideload a massive personal library, this experience ultimately drove me to pick up a Kindle again. We can debate the pros and cons of Amazon all day long, but their cloud storage and syncing support even for non-Amazon personal documents are remarkably reliable. I have never had these issues with my Kindle. Having used Kindles for over a decade across multiple devices, running into this on Kobo is just so disappointing 🙂↕️
That said, I plan to keep using both devices. It is hard to walk away from a decade-long Kindle collection, and many favorite authors remain exclusive to Kindle Unlimited. I still think the Kobo Libra Colour is a fantastic piece of hardware for the price, but I am simply not in love with the software stability and minor UI bugs that can suddenly disrupt a heavy reader's workflow.
I almost forgot. Why is it taking so long to get a new release to sync from Libby? Out of sheer frustration, I cancelled a new release hold yesterday because four days after my hold was ready, it still wouldn't appear on my Kobo. A new Sarah J. Maas book is about to be released, and I am getting that ebook on release day. I refuse to let Kobo's sluggish syncing interfere with that. Meanwhile, if I use my Kindle, it's available in a couple of hours. What is going on? 🫠🤓

Good book club
I have had a Kobo now for about 10 yrs , I have had to change models now and then and never had any problems , I have always had very good help from staff when I have had a question , So thank you one and all .
Easy to set up and transfer…
Easy to set up and transfer pre-existing books! Delivery was faster than expected and items were treated very well.
I think 2stars say a lot
I think 2stars say a lot. I am so fed up with my EReaders dying on me and no one able to do anything about it except a man call Collin, when he helps me he gets things done, but I couldn’t get in touch with him this time.
