Fine shop for buying, but disappointing technical support and accountability.
I do not normally write online reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience after spending a lot of money with Power Meter City. I understand that mistakes happen in business, but what matters most to me is how a company handles them—and that is where PMC fell short.
I previously bought a power meter for an Enve Melee from them that they pre-assembled without my request or payment. It didn’t clear my frame, but because they pre-assembled it, it was deemed "installed" and they refused to take it back. To their credit, they did update their website after my issue to warn future Melee buyers.
Hoping to avoid a repeat situation on my new Enve Fray build, I explicitly messaged them to confirm fitment before ordering a Sigeyi power meter. Their support team assured me it would work perfectly due to recent redesigns. It arrived, and once again, it had frame clearance issues. When I reached out for actual technical help or alternative spider options, their customer service completely fell apart. They backtracked on their advice, blamed it on "hand-made frames", and told me they couldn’t guarantee fitment for any spider, suggesting I just buy pedals.
PMC is a good shop if you already know exactly what you need. But if you need to rely on their staff for accurate technical compatibility, do your own homework first. They will not take accountability if their advice is wrong.

To begin with, we built your power meter up free of charge because we thought that would stoke you out. Sorry if that wasn't the right call.
In addition, if we provided you with inaccurate information, I apologize. To be fair, customer support and technical expertise are what we do best and we've built our reputation on helping riders find the right power meter for their bikes. We have rave reviews all over the internet about our deep knowledge of all of our parts. We take what we do very seriously. Again sorry if this didn't ring true on your order.
However, it is true that there are a seemingly infinite number of compatibility issues among the thousands of components and bike frames that exist, and it's hard for us to know every potential incompatibility issue.
Having said all of this, I would still like to help you get this figured out for you and I will be contacting you directly today to see if there is anything that we can do for you. My goal is to get you happy, dialed and enjoying your new power meter whatever it takes.

Thanks for letting us know, and I'm sorry the free item we included with your order caused confusion.
After checking, we're fairly confident the free chainring we included in your order was a 42T. Sometimes the ring ships in a box labeled for a different size, so the packaging alone can be misleading.
When you have a moment, please take the ring out and look for the tooth count etched on the ring.
If it's a 42T, you're all set. If it really is a 46T, we'll send the correct 42T right away along with a free return label.
Also, if it does turn out to be the 42T, we'd really appreciate it if you could update your review, since it wouldn't reflect what was actually shipped. We take a lot of pride in looking after our riders, so it would mean a lot to us.
