About Pirate Ship
Written by the company
Pirate Ship is a web-based shipping software solution that helps small businesses, e-commerce sellers, and independent entrepreneurs purchase and print discounted USPS and UPS shipping labels — no monthly fees, no hidden costs, and no treasure buried in the fine print.
As a shipping label platform, Pirate Ship gives users access to pre-negotiated carrier discounts on services including USPS Priority Mail, Ground Advantage, First-Class Package, and UPS Ground and UPS Ground Saver - as well as expedited services. Labels can be created individually, in bulk batches, or imported through e-commerce integrations, — built for businesses shipping anywhere from a few packages per week to hundreds per day. The platform is free to use — customers only pay the cost of postage.
Key features and capabilities:
- Discounted shipping rates — Access to deeply discounted USPS and UPS rates with no markup, monthly fee, or minimum volume requirement — just the lowest rates, straight from the plank
- E-commerce integrations — Connects with Shopify, eBay, Square, WooCommerce, and other platforms to import orders automatically
- Batch label creation — Print multiple shipping labels at once via spreadsheet upload or synced integrations, so even the biggest hauls ship without a headache
- Package tracking — Built-in tracking for all shipments with status updates accessible from the dashboard
- International shipping — Support for customs forms and international label creation across USPS and UPS international services
- Shipping insurance — Optional third-party insurance available for shipments at the time of label purchase
The platform requires no technical setup and operates on a pay-per-label model. When customers need help, a real human support crew is available via live chat and email — ready to lend a hook — because ARRrrr, we make shipping fun! 🏴☠️

I’ve been using Pirate Ship for the past 3 years and they’ve been solid every step of the way! Competitive pricing, easy to use website, and timely info related to UPS & USPS pricing increases. I will continue to use them with confidence.

Did some research to send a big package to Germany. Very happy with this company. It took about a week but it arrived on time for Halloween

UPS wanted$450 to ship my item
UPS wanted$450 to ship my item. FedEx wanted over $500. I learned about pirateship and sign up for it in a couple of minutes and it only cost me $75 to ship my package.

Bunch of idiots decided to run this website. Each time after carefully measuring the box and weight, they come up with new excuse to charge me more. Be careful these thieves with their messed up website also have your credit card info which they are selling it to people. Moreover, if package lost, there is no customer service to contact.
So easy to use and FREE!
So easy to use and free! I use it for my business and personal shipping and Priority Mail. Good $avings over UPS and USPS sites.
Truth be said
Truth be said! We used stamps.com for more than two decades for my business; we ship hundreds of packages through USPS every year using stamps.com LSS, running into everything from software issues to continued and rising costs on top of additional costs for additional services. And support from them is slow if provided. Discovering PirateShip was a 200% improvement not only in cost but also, most importantly, the software is super easy to use, and tech support at most times is there almost instantly! I can't recommend PirateShip to use for your shipping more strongly. I only regret not knowing about PirateShip sooner!
I shipped a $3,000 digital piano from…
I shipped a $3,000 digital piano from the West Coast to the East Coast, and the piano never arrived. When I tried to call UPS, they said that because Pirate ship was the actual sender, I needed to go through them and their insurance company. The problem is that Pirate ship doesn't have a published tel number and when I emailed them, they directed me back too UPS. I went round and round like this for days, and finally received notice that they had completed their investigation, whatever that was, and could not find my 100 pound package that was 5 feet by 18 inches, they were cutting me a check for $100. It must have slipped through a crack in a conveyor belt. Notwithstanding multiple calls afterwards, I still have received no confirmation that UPS searched for my package. I guess it was easier to steal my piano and pay the $100 fee than actually conducting any investigation. Terrible experience. Never use this company.

Highly Recommend Pirate SHip
Moved to using Pirate Ship over a year ago from a shipping company who continued to reduce services and increase costs. We love the transparency and cost of Pirate Ship - especially find the importing of a spreadsheet to be a time saver! Easy to use, no hidden fees, and love the funny surprises we find at different areas of the website. Had a question and it was answered very quickly - customer service was great! Have recommended to many and will continue to use.
STAMPS.com gives me phone service
STAMPS.com gives me phone service. Pirate Ship is no good. They send nonsensical emails using words like AAARGH and thinking they are entertaining. Not for me. I got charged for an incorrect address by UPS while using their service and it was not fair. Of course they don't get on the phone. I'm done with this company.
Great customer service and prices
Great customer service, much better shipping rates than UPS, very helpful and easy to deal with.

Outstanding customer service when USPS lost my package.
Honest, fairly priced, and easy to use
Excellent, fast, easy to use, and most importantly HONEST service. I initially set up an account with stamps.com that forced me to sign up for a monthly plan without telling me and then made it difficult for me to cancel, also they asked form my birthdate and SSN without any explanation about why - very sketchy. I tried again with pirate ship and the experience was AMAZING. Super easy to sign up. they wanted my address and phone number only (for the same shipment method). The website was flawless. I could get my printing label going while at the same time verifying my email address. WELL DONE!
p.s. they speak to you in a pirate voice which is fabulous
