Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 33 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many consumers struggled significantly with mobile application connectivity, recurring Bluetooth syncing failures, and frustrating software updates that made tracking daily health metrics extremely difficult. Reviewers additionally encountered inaccurate measurements compared to professional equipment, alongside completely unhelpful customer support when attempting to resolve these persistent technical problems. However, some customers also noted positive experiences, mentioning that certain devices link easily to smartphones and provide clear, readable graphs. A few other people also felt that the equipment works well overall, offering comfortable cuffs and reliable support for routine health monitoring at home.

SAVE MONEY DON'T BUY ANY OMRON BP MONITOR

I bought a top of the line OMRON BP 785N off Amazon back in 2018 and it hasn't been used that much over the years and the other day it finally shot craps for good and would not turn on at all. By comparison I have a WALGREENS BP monitor that is much older than the OMRON and still works and tried it this morning 9/28/2026. I can't say for certain but it seems to me that OMRON BP devices have built in obsolescence . DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T BUY ANY OMRON BP MONITOR BECAUSE IN MY OPINION THEY ARE DESIGNED TO FAIL AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS WORTHLESS AS WELL. Steve

Prompt but Unhelpful Replies

I bought an Omron thermometer from Curry's. I could not get one function to work, a buzzing sound when it is at right distance from forehead.

After 14 emails it became clear that to return the faulty device I would have to pay for the postage for a brand new faulty product.

It then took a single phone call to Curry's to arrange for a free return and a full refund.

Why not one star? My wife has happily used an Omron blood pressure device for several years.

Not sure it's accurate

Have just bought the Omron M2+, not impressed.
Firstly NO English instructions in the box ! . But worst of all its too sensitive. If I put my arm on the same table as the monitor is placed on ( a natural position ) it doesn't give a reading, it saying am moving " I'm not moving or talking !!!!!. I think it's picking up movement from my own pulse. So it's unusable!!!!!!
DON'T BUY IT
also it won't conect with my phone .

Overpriced medical junk ruined by broken, unusable software

Do not buy an Omron smart monitor if you expect the Bluetooth features to work. The physical device might measure blood pressure, but the OMRON connect app is absolute garbage.Every single day is a frustrating loop of connection failures, dropped Bluetooth pairings, and broken syncs. Their tech support solutions are completely useless, expecting paying customers to delete the app, wipe their iPhone cache, and re-pair the device every morning just to log a single reading. It forces you to create an account and pushes cloud storage, yet it cannot handle a basic data transfer to Apple Health without crashing. Save your sanity, save your money, and buy a Withings or Qardio instead. Omron’s software is fundamentally broken and they clearly refuse to fix it. Zero stars if this was possible.

Good devices let down badly by the OMRON App

Good devices let down by app syncing, costly Premium and weeks of support emails with no fix

I have generally found the actual Omron hardware to be good. I use an Omron X7 Smart blood-pressure monitor, and my main criticism is not the monitor itself but the software ecosystem around it.

The Bluetooth syncing and Omron Connect app have been extremely unreliable. I can take several blood-pressure measurements with my phone beside the monitor, Bluetooth switched on and the device still connected, yet the measurements do not reliably synchronise into Rewards.

I have experienced the same problem with other health information. Weight, body temperature and other information can exist in Apple Health, with the relevant connections apparently active, but Omron Rewards may still record nothing.

For example, on one recent day my Rewards total was only 625 out of a possible 4,825 points. Of that, 600 points were medication tracking and 25 points were simply for opening the app. Blood pressure, activity, weight, ECG, temperature and oxygen all showed zero.

I have already tried offloading the app, deleting and reinstalling it, reconnecting Apple Health and Apple Watch, resetting the connections and restarting the X7 Smart. The problem continues.

This is particularly difficult to accept when Premium costs £8.49 per month, which is almost £102 a year. The Rewards programme sounds worthwhile in principle, but a rewards system is of limited value if the app does not reliably recognise the measurements you are actually taking.

Having to resort to manually entering information simply to receive points for measurements that should synchronise automatically defeats much of the purpose of buying connected health devices in the first place.

I opened a support case with Omron on 16 September 2026, supplied screenshots and other information for investigation, and followed the troubleshooting steps they suggested. Almost a month of email exchanges later, I am no further forward. The synchronisation problem has not been fixed, and I am still losing thousands of potential Rewards points on affected days while continuing to pay for Premium.

The hardware appears capable; the app, Bluetooth integration and Rewards synchronisation seriously let it down, and Omron support has not put that right. At the current subscription price, I do not consider Premium good value while these problems remain unresolved.

I will update this review if Omron resolves the synchronisation problem and deals fairly with the missing Rewards points.

A friend purchased the Omron BP monitor…

A friend purchased the Omron BP monitor and mailed it to me as a gift. He was in a different country, meaning the app will not work! I can't even access the history of the readings manually. The whole monitor is basically useless.
Unreal that in 2026 you can only use an app specific for the country you buy the monitor in!

I wouldn't recommend.

M4 connect AFIB - reassuring kit

M4 connect AFIB - easy to setup. Links easily to iPhone and iPad. Great graphs easy to read. One small piece of advice is to firmly push the air tube plug into place when it will then click and stay in place.

Chat A1 was able to tell me that I was not pushing the plug hard enough; when pushed the plug clicks firmly into place,

Terrible!!

Terrible!!! My doctor verified in an office visit my device was adding +15 points to all readings. I opened a case with OMRON online and I was sent questions. I answered all of them. I was then instructed to send the unit back (at my expense) to them. I called customer service offering to send the letter from my doctor verifying the DEFECTIVE unit tested in an office visit. That was not good enough for OMRON. Terrible experience with a defective product creating stress by inaccurate readings and bad support. Throw it in the trash and buy another brand.

Customer service poor and does not honor warranty.

I have an omron BP7450 that is in warranty period. My cardiologist checked my machine several time against the hospital grade blood pressure machine and my machine was grossly out of calibration. He instructed me to call the manufacturer and discuss being repaired or replaced. I called customer service and found machine was still under warranty and had to pay to ship to them for inspection. I recieved the machine back 3 weeks later and no documentation with machine and found to be my exact machine I sent them. I immediately called customer service for an explanation. They replied my machine is operating normally and thats why they sent the same machine back. I explained to the service representative that my cardiologist had already verified this machine is not accurate and I sent them a copy of the cardiologist report. She said the technician reported that my machine is working properly and no further action needed. I will not purchase another omron product or send this back at my expense again. It's just cost effective to purchase another brand that is more reliable.

Blood pressure monitor works perfectly but..

Blood pressure monitor works perfectly, the issue is that they keep reducing the features in the app. Average weekly blood pressure and readings lists are no longer available only a daily average so much more difficult to monitor trends.
Feels scammy to offer feature then start removing them.

I bought the OMRON connect

I bought the OMRON connect. I was happy with it the first month as it recorded all my blood pressure and EKGs on the app. I’m required to take it for my doctors review. Unfortunately the app lost all the readings. After spending a few hours trying to retrieve it, I tried customer service which is basically nonexistent. They shouldn’t call themselves a healthcare company when their products are not reliable. Blood pressure is the silent killer. Those of us that need to use the monitor put faith in the company and they don’t deliver.

I have the Omron BP7250

I have the Omron BP7250. Ive compared its readings to my cardiologist's readings as well as 3 different hospitals. The Omron readings are consistently high by 10-15 mmHg. I have quit using it due to its constant unreliability and would definitely recommend anyone to buy a different brand.

Purchased the OMRON M7 Intelli IT AFib. While the unit and cuff look well made the unit itself refuses to sync with the downloaded app via Bluetooth. Error code keeps appearing. Spent alot of time trying to sync but eventually contacted customer service who were appalling. Don't waste your money.
