Rented a car through booking.com with this co. CLassic bait and switch. Bought the insurance through booking for $100+ and when I went to get the car I was told the insurance I bought was no good. Was forced to buy $400+ insurance policy. When I complained to booking I was told basically Caveat Emptor by them , implying their insurance was good and I should have not bought it. Obviously when your whole trip is planned around an auto rental and they have you where they want you,that is the last thing you want to hear. The classic ping pong game one blaming the other with me in the middle.
I was additionally charged a discrminatory age fee for being over 75!
I checked with other cos. and Enterprise does not charge an age fee. Stay away this co is no good.I would also never use booking again for anything.

Office opened late, clerk was rude and arrogant. It was 50 minutes later before i was put in a shuttle to get to my rental car. I did not get the make and model i booked. On return the depot was hassling me for 5 star reviews. Five months later i receive a notification of a fine i was unaware of that i incurred in Siena directly from Municipality for driving in a restricted area, Rental company never told me about it. There was no opportunity for me to pay the fine at its lowest rate. Tried to pay fine from Australia, system rejected it. Fine sent to debt collection agency in Australia at 5 times original value which i am now disputing .. Fun times.. wont use Noleggiare again

Upon arrival the noleggiare employee refused to do a check of the car because he was too busy. The day after they charged us 120 euros for a damage that wasnt there. This company isnt trustworthy. Dont book here!

Easy to book, directly in Bari near the train station. The car was perfect for our needs (Toyota Corrola Cross).
Insurance included. Personal very friendly.

Booked a car rental with them in May 2026.
At the counter they insisted I should pay extra 255 euros for the top cover. I said I would be very careful with the car. It was a new Peugeot with sensors and camera.
I was very, very careful but at the hand-over they 'found' 3 scratches at the back bumper. To me they look like a key marks.... they deducted about 280 euros right away from the bank account and that's it.

Stay away! Pay a bit more, if you have to, but go elsewhere.

Noleggiare - if you're tempted to reply something like 'sorry for the experience, we strive to be good, etc, etc... don't bother! I think we've had enough of useless correspondence all this time.

Paid a 100 Euro deposit and was advised on 12th September that it was released. 12th OCTOBER and no payment. Online forms refuse to work. Major issues with them and Booking.com through whom I booked it.

I am an experienced traveller and have never had an experience like this before with any car rental company in any country in the world. I have been charged 190€, close to the price of the original rental without an explanation. I have requested an itemised invoice directly from the company and have not received one. I paid for the company's total coverage insurance, did not order extras and do not understand the charge. The car was booked until 11am and returned just before 12pm (the traffic was horrible in Rome). The electric vehicle was not fully charged when we picked it up and we wasted time queuing and discussing this point with the company. We were told not to return it full.
It is truly incredible that one can pay a deposit and have such a large amount taken without any explanation. I would definitely say NO to Noleggiare.

The Toyota Yaris hybrid you gave us is a great little car. It runs smoothly and it turned me to look for a similar car for myself back home. Service from the start was impeccable. Ruando du Plessis

Best car rental company that we used in Italy

we rent a car for 8 days and bought insurance. on 4th day tire flatted, the vehicle was subsequently towed the following day through the roadside assistance process arranged by Noleggiare. But, Noleggiare let us pick up new car from a very far place on 7th day, it was too late.
we sent a very detail Formal Claim to Noleggiare after we were back to USA, but no reply.

When we returned the car, the person inspecting it found a small dent on the side and claimed it wasn't recorded in their system, stating that we would have to pay compensation. I was 100% certain they were trying to scam us, as we had treated the car with care, washed it, and refilled the tank. Fortunately, I had taken photos with my professional camera when I picked up the car; I could zoom in on the image and clearly see that the dent was already there at the start of the rental. You should do the same for the interior, though—I only later noticed a small cigarette burn hole in the driver's seat. They didn't make an issue of it, but if they had, I wouldn't have had a photo to prove otherwise since I hadn't photographed the interior. It is best to avoid renting from them altogether, but if you have no other choice, make sure to photograph the car from every angle—including the interior—at maximum resolution when you pick it up, even if there isn't a single scratch visible. We had already taken out two insurance policies when we rented the car, but when we were there, they wanted us to pay an extra ~200 euros for some additional coverage; maybe they blacklisted us because we didn't take it—I don't know. But it was clear they were trying to rip us off; if we hadn't had photos, we would have faced a huge fine.

We used the service at Termini station in Rome. Everything was in order with the car. The paperwork was quick and straightforward. The staff was very helpful. 100% would recommend.

It is high time these crooks learned their lesson.
They do nothing but scam their customers.
If anyone still decides to rent a car from these swindlers, you really ought to take videos of both the exterior and the interior—make sure you do—and don't trust them an inch; they are trained to rip people off.
I’ve had two run-ins with their company, and I’m more than happy to warn you so you don't let these thieves take advantage of you!!!
Worst company ever—take my word for it—and they have an excuse for everything!

Mi experiencia con Noleggiare ha sido profundamente decepcionante. Su modelo de negocio parece basarse más en la penalización que en el propio servicio de alquiler. Si no contratas la cobertura adicional directamente con ellos, aplican un criterio desmedido en la devolución, magnifica la más mínima imperfección insignificante para aplicar cargos desproporcionados. Una gestión que roza lo abusivo y carece por completo de transparencia. Nada recomendable.

My experience with Noleggiare was deeply disappointing. Their business model appears to rely on penalties rather than actual car rental services. If you decline their optional insurance, they inspect the vehicle with absurd scrutiny upon return, turning invisible micro-marks into exorbitant damage fees. A highly predatory and unethical approach. Avoid them.

La mia esperienza con Noleggiare è stata estremamente deludente. Il loro modello di business sembra basarsi più sulle penali che sul servizio di noleggio vero e proprio. Se non si acquista la loro assicurazione integrativa, al rientro effettuano un controllo pretestuoso, trasformando la minima ed insignificante imperfezione in addebiti per danni del tutto sproporzionati. Una pratica scorretta e priva di trasparenza. Sconsigliatissimo.
