I had an issue with trying to log back in from a new phone. I needed confirmation because it was a new device, but the confirmation was going to an old email address. Elle from customer service was able to get everything sorted out for me without it being stressful (as some other companies have been)!

Circle great
I have been able to verify that Circle is a 100% reliable and stable application, and the support team provides quick and effective assistance.
Amazing platform
Amazing platform. I'm so glad I discovered them last year. They have all the tools you need to launch, grow and maintain a community with simplicity and forward thinking. Their update rate is insane and there are constantly new features being added.
Their customer service is great, friendly and actually knowledgeable. Best choice and this is after coming from another platform.
Polite support, rigid product — email locks, fees, painful Stripe exit
We used Circle for months as a paid community (paywalls via Standard Stripe Connect / direct charges, branded notification email, automations). Everyday posting was fine. Reliability and control broke down under real operational pressure, and exit is worse than the marketing suggests.
Email was frozen without a clean recovery path. Circle temporarily limited email features and forced community verification. Operational mail stopped (lead magnets, weekend sends). Support could not locate the community under the owner address we already used with them and asked for more ownership proof while sending was off. After restore they could not say what happened to emails queued during the pause. Separately we hit a non-transparent rolling 24-hour send limit, had to raise Email Hub capacity from a very low default, and spent tickets on custom domain / DMARC just to look professional in the inbox. Earlier, default Circle sender addresses also made mail look spammy until branding was set up.
Support is polite, yet gated. Non-owner team members were refused help even when they cited the private community ID. For important changes that burns time. On hard cases (email outage, Stripe disconnect) we got process answers and no workable exception.
Fees and product limits stack up. Beyond the monthly plan we paid Circle’s take on payments (order of ~10% in our setup) and still faced a ~1% platform fee on active Stripe subscriptions that Support indicated would continue even after a disconnect. Video hit a hard ~4 GB per-file ceiling, paid storage, and awkward re-uploads, so we moved video elsewhere. Admin analytics for basic KPI work was weak; we ended up measuring outside Circle. Paywall checkout mixed languages, coupons could not be capped the way we needed, and invoicing lived in Stripe rather than a clean Circle path. Member notifications also tend to over-notify unless you fight the defaults.
Leaving with live Stripe subscriptions is blocked in practice. We asked to disconnect Stripe while keeping active member renewals. Stripe’s own docs say direct-charge subscriptions can continue after a platform disconnect. Support confirmed disconnect itself does not cancel subscriptions, then still required canceling every active subscription inside Circle first (orphaned records / access control). In our history, cancel in Circle also stopped Stripe invoices for those members. We cannot revoke Circle from the Stripe dashboard either (platform-managed). So the only endorsed path risks cutting renewals for paying people, while fee and webhook access after disconnect remain unfavorable.
Same themes show up in other Trustpilot reviews: cancellation friction, billing surprises, lock-in. Easy to start; rigid when email, fees, media limits, analytics, or a clean payment exit matter.
Circle could fix this by restoring email faster with a clear fate for queued sends, letting non-owner admins get support with a community ID, documenting a disconnect that keeps direct-charge subscriptions intact (and stops platform fee without forcing cancel), and letting Stripe accounts revoke platform access when Support will not.
Hard to recommend if operational email or a clean billing exit matters to you.

There are a ton of bugs that make the user experience considerably worse than apps our community members are used to, like Facebook and LinkedIn. From the admin perspective, the spaces are not customizable enough. Circle is better than nothing, but it's no where near what I thought and hoped it would be.
Try it. My customers are loving it
I liked it it’s easy on the community. But setup is quite quirky and without AI it would be tough for me to do by yourself and with AI it requires a lot of credits so you can get into a jam both ways. That’s why I am giving it a low rating. Also, the transaction fee is higher than I expected. Kajabi is lower.
But I liked the responsiveness of staff members and they were very helpful as well and loved joining the circle community. All in all it’s a good start.
I am at an early stage in my experience and very excited to see how it goes for my customers.
Unexpected Charges, Untransparent pricing, Expensive
The app is OK, but unexpected charges and upsells on top of an already very expensive SaaS.
Just importing contacts already kicking in an additional 25$ per month AND I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH IT. Outrageous. Thinking of switching now.
Pricing totally undefensible and will definitely build my own within a year if pricing stays elevated.
Misdirected Signup
I originally tried to sign up for an existing Circle but somehow was directed to sign up for my own. I have no idea how that happened. Once I realized what happened, I tried to cancel it but couldn’t find how, so I contacted the Circle support team. The team provided the steps to do so but warned me of possible problems if I did. I already had a problem so I decided to allow my free trial to expire. That seemed to be the easiest approach. My free trial expired several days ago and I still receive daily emails urging me to setup my Circle.
Unexpected pricing and difficult account deletion
I signed up for Circle through Capterra, where the price was listed as $49/month. After signing up and testing the platform, I was shown a price of $89/month, and only if billed annually.
That price is extremely high for a SaaS platform, so I decided not to use it.
I also continued receiving newsletters and later tried to delete my account. However, my dashboard was locked behind a paywall. If you don't pay, you can't properly manage or delete your account.
Overall, the pricing discrepancy and the inability to easily delete a trial account made for a very poor experience.
