I have had this noise in my car every time I turn the wheel so I went to my mechanic shop back in August and they replaced the left ball joint. The noise still persisted so I called and spoke to Ryan... See more

Very unsettling experience
Very unsettling experience with this branch I brought my truck in with front brake issues the technician disassembled the brakes and fixed the issue and charged me about 89 dollars as a stripping fee and gave me the all clear that my brakes are fixed. Less than a week later and my front brakes was fried meaning that I could have made a serious accident so I took it back at about 1pm the service advisor did not call me to tell me what's wrong with the brakes, I had to call them to find out what's wrong only to be told that the first inspection wasn't done correctly and that it would cost 10 times the stripping fee to repair and apologized for misdiagnosed repair from the week before and would give me that fee as a discount on the new repairs which I find astonishing that if the diagnosis was done correctly I would not have the repairs I'm facing currently. So the next day I still did not receive an update on my vehicle so I went in at 10 am because the technician promised that the vehicle would be ready by 11am only to find that thr vehicle hasn't been touched and still had the old parts not even removed only to be told my vehicle will be ready shortly. Well its an hour later and my vehicle is still standing untouched.i will never use this business again

Awesome Service
This is my first time having my vehicle serviced at Brakes Plus and I must say I was totally satisfied with the customer care and the service provided to my vehicle. Store manager Leo was extremely professional and helpful. I will definitely have my future vehicle maintenance done at this location.
Honesty, professionalism and integrity
I own a Lexus RX 350 ~ the Lexus dealership informed me that I needed a brake fluid exchange and a new air filter. I was a little skeptical, so I made an appointment with Brakes Plus (would cost approximately $200-$300 less at BP). Vince looked at my records then went out and checked my car. He showed me the brake fluid and the filter ~ neither required any service. He could have easily just completed the service and charged me for something I did not need. I so appreciate Vince's honesty and his integrity.
I came to brakes plus in Palestine to get my brakes checked.
I came to brakes plus in Palestine to have my brakes checked. Robert Shellenberger did a wonderful job and had great customer service. Thank you Robert for everything you did..

I had a front bearing go out on my 2010 Tacoma that was so far gone I couldn't drive it any further to my appointment so had to have it towed the last two miles. The front wheel was locked up and so far gone it would barely move. I thought they'd have to put the front tires on a dolly to get it into the garage but they rocked it enough to get it in the bay. It took them one day to fix it and they did a great job on it! When I picked it up the mechanic who worked on it said he'd seen some bad wheel bearings but never one as far gone as mine. Great crew and I highly recommend these guys. - Will G
Best Brakes Plus
I have been to many auto repair shops, but the Erie location by highway 7 is by far my favorite! The employees are professional, thorough, and helpful! Especially when it comes to explaining what my car needs done. BIG shout out to Jose and Dylan for making it such a great experience! I will be back :D
I applied for a job and everything was…
I applied for a job and everything was going good. I told him about my background and everything, and I was hoping that I would get the opportunity to work for this company. I heard good stories about this company. And you know, yes, I got in trouble years ago, but I served my time did what I was supposed to do. And 30 years later, with nothing else on my on my background, I get a call saying, I get the job and then turn around, then the district manager calls and says that. Oh, no, we can't hire you. I mean, I thought it was an equal opportunity. I mean, I have the experience I've been in the car business for over 20 years. I'm out working at a junkyard. Now I mean, if they hired me, then I don't understand i think this is very discriminatory, because, you know, I served my time I got out. I haven't been in any trouble since and I do qualify for the job matter of fact. I'm even overqualified, and every day I get a chance. I'm gonna send a bad message about this company. Because how can it be an equal opportunity company? They need to put everything out in the open of you know what, why they don't hire. And because why I have great references in everything
I have 1979 Ford Ranchero GT
I have 1979 Ford Ranchero GT. I had to get a lot of work done as it had been sitting for 3 years. Brakes Plus replaced the entire fuel system from Gas tank to Carburetor. This was performed in 1 week, when it was waiting on parts, other work was performed, They installed Air Ride Shocks in the rear and new front shocks. The team was professional and clean. They also repainted corroded parts and dialed in the performance of the new carburetor. They did fine work and I highly recommend you let them work for you.

Brakes Plus at Litchfield Park is amazing. Rose is very helpful and extremely knowledgeable and I appreciate their kindness.
They changed my oil and seemingly drained my battery.
I had a positive experience on a previous visit, so I made an appointment for an oil change at 10:00 and was told an hour. At 10:40, my car had not left the front parking lot, so I was told it would be closer to two hours since I had made it clear I needed it by Noon. I was not prepared to sit there that long, so I agreed to return for my car. After paying, I went out to my car to find the battery dead. Apparently, this had also happened while they were working on the car, but no one mentioned it, and they thought it was okay. The manager of the store worked on my car, but did not come out to explain the situation or even apologize for the inconvenience.
I drove the car home at which time the battery died again. So now I get to deal with that issue.
I will not be returning.

Tom at Peoria Location took great care of me when i needed to change my scheduled appointment and then completed my car in less time than estimated and was priced very reasonable. Great job.
Thanks
I had made an appointment for 9 am for…
I had made an appointment for 9 am for brake service. After they pulled the SUV and looked at it, gave me estimate to get 4 new ceramic pads and adjust all 4 rotors, total cost $800 and promised the SUV will be ready between 11:30 am and noon. No one told me that they had to order all 4 pads and were waiting on it. At noon, my car was still not ready. My wife was waiting for me at the la fitness center. I had another appointment to attend at 2 pm. The manager on duty is Ms Keleigh Axelrod. The front desk guy has no clue about anything. This was my 1st visit and the shop didn't do it right as far as estimating the time to get my SUV ready. They take so many clients and most are here for extensive brake jobs and they don't have required parts in stock so they order them after you sign the service order.
Would t give them one star if it didn’t…
Would t give them one star if it didn’t make me. My elderly mother took her car there for her brakes to be replaced. They had a special running. They call and tell her it’s ready. She goes to get it and they go to telling her they did a diagnostics. Who does a diagnostic to replace brakes. Anyhow they try to tell her she needs $4000 in repairs. One being the battery. A battery that was brand new and was fine. She gets charges $400.00 for this special that was being ran as $129.00.clearly scam to lure people into their business. So she drives it not even two weeks and she hits her brakes and they pop and her brake pedal goes all the way to the floor. So she calls and they tell her to bring it back. Instead of fixing their mistake they call to say she needs more unnecessary shit that totaled 4000.00. And when told no they weren’t paying that to be done they refuse to fix their error and tell her to come puck her car up. Leaving again, an elderly woman, with brakes that go to the floor. Brakes she paid 400.00 to be replaced. Don’t deserve anyone’s business and you can bet I’ll be paying them a visit with my moms car and they are going to fix their mistake.
Excellent mechanical and customer service
On 9/18/2026 I got my oil changed at Brakes Plus. I had an appointment and was able to get in and out in a timely manner without incident. I was treated courteously and professionally. While waiting for my vehicle I witnessed a potentially volatile incident in the waiting room where an extremely out of line customer verbally accosted one of the employees with profanity and threats that were entirely without warrant. The employee who was being confronted was Darnell; to his credit, he was extremely effective in calmly deescalating the situation without incident. He was a poised professional, explaining exactly what was wrong with the vehicle and what Brakes Plus was going to be able to do to help resolve the problem. The customer calmed down and within a few minutes and was soon apologizing for his outlandish behavior. I was extremely impressed with Darnell’s leadership, customer service and conflict resolution skills! Thank you, Mark Hunt
Their coupons are meaningless
I had a coupon from your website for $20 off an oil change. The coupon even said 72.99 for an oil change with synthetic oil. When I went to pay i was told the price was 94.81. I asked about the coupon and told the $20 discount was applied to the original total of 114.81. When I question why i didn't get the price stated on the coupon, I was told the oil filter was $20 extra. I showed him that the coupon clearly stated the filter was included. He then said that there was labor cost. I said the published price for an oil change always includes labor anywhere else you go, otherwise it wouldn't be called an oil change, it would be called oil for sale. He then said with gas prices going up, oil prices are up. That is true but why then publish a coupon with a stated price that you dont intend to honor? I won't be back and I would tell others to verify up front if you will get the price on the coupon before authorizing any work.
Manager James and his staff were great
Manager James and his staff were great. Helpful from the moment I walked in. Addressed my concerns and took care of the problem the same day. Offered complementary drop off and pickup service so I didn’t have to sit and wait in the shop. Awesome team and service.
Amazing Team!
Cody and his team helped me tremendously on my 2002 ford ranger, they were totally transparent with all repairs they did, were quick to diagnose its issues, and didn’t hesitate to call me back to tell me a few game plans we can go about, as far as temporary fixes and things for long term. i no longer toil with other auto shops wondering if my money is going to a honest business. thank you to the brakes plus team for yalls consistency and 100% honesty through all your work, will look forward to more in the future. 🤝
