FAQs

Does LG offer free shipping?

LG includes shipping for free on the vast majority of products. A small fee is charged for small parts and accessories orders, but these orders also come with free shipping if you become a MyLG member.

You can check if an item is eligible for free shipping by entering your zip code on a product page or at the checkout. Doing so will be shown all the delivery options currently available for this order, including dates, times and any applicable fees.

For larger items, such as TVs over 55 inches and major appliances like refrigerators, you can have your product placed in a specific room upon arrival when you choose Room of Choice Delivery.

What is MyLG?

MyLG is the brand's loyalty and support program, which is free to join and offers a number of perks that returning customers will find useful, including order and warranty management and exclusive discounts.

What's on offer from MyLG varies in terms of discounts, with selected promotions bringing limited-time savings to all members, enticing sign-up bonuses, or sometimes both. We've previously seen these include 5% off your first order and 2% off all purchases.

Regardless of promotions, becoming a MyLG member is well worth your time, as it confers free shipping on most orders with no minimum spend. This is particularly handy if you need to buy parts and accessories without also buying a device, which usually falls below outside of the brand's free shipping offer for non-members.

Do LG products come with a warranty?

The majority of products come with a one-year manufacturer warranty when bought directly from LG. This includes any parts and labor required if the product is faulty, but does not cover accidental or cosmetic damage.

Different products may have warranties of up to five years for the whole item on specific parts, such as refrigerators and ovens. You can also choose to purchase a Premium Care Plan which extends the warranty period by up to three years for a fee.

What is the LG return policy?

LG’s return policy varies depending on the product in question. For example, smaller electronics such as vacuums or laptop are eligible to be returned up to 30 days after delivery. For other products, such as TVs, you must start the return process within 15 days of delivery, and an 8 - 15% restocking fee applies.

Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging with all manuals and accessories included to be eligible for a full refund. To start a return, contact the brand's team and they'll help organize free returns shipping.

LG Saving Tips

Wait for sales events

Like most retailers, LG often runs its best promotions during the big yearly sales events such as Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Holding off until the holidays can mean discounts of up to 55%, so checking in around these times is usually worthwhile.

At TechRadar, we watch closely for tech deals including those LG has to offer, adding them to this page whenever we find them - make sure to come back around big seasonal events for the best prices currently on offer.

The LG Appreciation Program

The LG Appreciation Program gives special discounts to teachers, students, members of the military, government employees, members of the emergency services, and medical personnel, with discounts of 10 - 20% available on selected products when you verify. LG partners with ID.Me to confirm your status, so just create or sign in to an account before heading to the checkout and you'll automatically see all the offers you are eligible to redeem applied to your order.

Watch for cashback offers

LG also offers cashback on selected purchases, letting customers claim as much as 20% of the value of their order back once they've completed their purchase (or 25% during limited-time cashback promotions). Cashback offers are advertised on individual product pages, and you'll need to submit claims through the dedicated portal on the brand's site once you've placed your order to redeem them.

Sign up for the newsletter

Another way to keep informed about the best LG deals is to sign up for the email newsletter. Exclusive promotions and information on the latest sales will be sent directly to your inbox so you never miss a bargain, along with other regularly changing perks such as discount codes to use on specific products and purchases.

How we source coupon codes

Whether it's through our affiliate networks, the depths of the world wide web, or our connections with big name brands, here at TechRadar we use every tool at our disposal to source the latest codes. Our coupons team updates each of our pages multiple times a week with the most recent deals, including exclusive coupons negotiated by our Commercial team. We also include the latest sales info directly from retailers to offer the most up-to-date discounts around.

How we test coupon codes

Each coupon you find on TechRadar has been tested before being uploaded by our dedicated Deals & Offers teams. You’ll see a range of offers, from free shipping to student discounts, with savings available on all kinds of products & services. To make sure every coupon is ready to use, we don’t list any user-specific or one-time codes.

We also include all relevant information about coupons, such as expiry dates and any terms & conditions, near the ‘Get Code’ button. You can see the details for an individual offer by clicking on the ‘Terms & Conditions’ text below the code and expanding the code area.

What to do if a coupon code doesn’t work

Although we do our best to ensure all listed codes are tried & tested, sometimes coupons expire or terms & conditions are changed before we can update pages. Our team works hard to make sure our coupons are active and work as intended, and should you encounter an issue when using one, we’ll work just as hard to help.

The best place to start is by checking the requirements. Click “View terms and conditions” to expand the code section and see any guidance on your chosen coupon. For example, you may need to meet a minimum spend, add other items to your basket to qualify for a multibuy offer, or confirm that your chosen code applies to the items in your basket (i.e. 10% off laptops).

If you’re still having issues using your code, you can email our customer service team on coupons.techradar@futurenet.com. Include as many details as possible - such as which code you used and which coupon page it’s listed on so our team can address your issue as fast as possible.

How we make money

When it comes to coupons, TechRadar earns money via a commission-based model. For every brand we have a coupon page for, we’ve negotiated a deal that means we earn a percentage of total basket value in commission back from every order.

Using this model means we can offer our coupons to our customers free of charge. You won’t pay any fees to add your chosen coupon to your basket - you’ll simply pay the final order total once your discount has been applied.
