We were looking for a new internet provider and needed a 4/5g connection due to our location. The bigger companies only wanted to provide fttc or fwa (fiber to the cabinet/wireless) as their systems said that is what they could deliver - their systems are wrong as it is impossible here.

So we ended up choosing for AlpSim. I had a bunch of questions before ordering, and they were answered very fast and correct. Perfect.

After ordering, we accidentally gave the address to our house, which none of the deivery companies can seem to find, and asked Alpsim to change the address to a delivery point. They did so promptly and a day later the SIM and 5g modem arrived. The ZTE MC888 5g modem was cheaper from Alpsim then from any other shop!

Installation was a breeze and worked out of the box. Perfect.

Before Alpsim we had a very flaky connection, if it worked at all we were happy with max 2mbit down (very unstable) and next to nothing up, and only if it wasn’t raining, not too windy and lightning/thunder was a definitive no-net situation.
Remote working was near impossible (video conferencing too choppy and unstable).

Now, with Alpsim (windtre 4-5g) we have, depending on time of day, between 120 and 350 mbit down, even in bad weather!


In addition, we ordered an alpsim voip account. It turned out that this was a flat fee subscription, but only for italy based calls, no international calls. So we cancelled that, no problem whatsoever and the servicedesk was again very helpful in the migration to another provider, providing assistance in english and even sending out documentation that was in principle unnecessary but our new voip provider insisted they needed for migrating our old telephone number.

All in all we are very happy with Alpsim, both for the quality of the internet connection and the quality of their service desk !! (They speak german, italian and english).
