We hired two 50-seater buses for our engagement party, but unfortunately one of the buses was unable to start because of an engine problem.

The most disappointing part was not simply that the bus broke down, but how the situation was handled afterwards. We had a time-sensitive event to get to, yet the company was unable to repair the bus or arrange suitable replacement transport quickly enough. We were left with no realistic option but to organise and pay for alternative transport ourselves, otherwise our guests would have missed our engagement party.

Despite this, the company has been unwilling to cover the additional costs we incurred as a direct result of the failed service. We feel this is very disappointing, particularly given that we had booked and paid for transport specifically to ensure our guests arrived at an important event on time.

Mechanical problems can happen, but what matters is how a company responds when something goes wrong. In our experience, the lack of a timely replacement and the subsequent refusal to reimburse the reasonable costs we had to incur ourselves fell well below what we expected from a professional transport provider.

I would therefore be very cautious about relying on this company for an important or time-sensitive event

16:58 606 Service from Broadway to Chipping Camden. Absolutely pathetic! Rang “Oxford Travel” 20 minutes after the service was due. 18 passengers were waiting for the bus 2 of whom had waited for the earlier bus which was cancelled. I was told it was “vehicle problem” and the service was also cancelled. No information on their website. What a way to treat paying customers. The guy from Oxford travel was efficient and helpful but obviously unable to control the situation. Never experienced such poor service anywhere else in the UK. I’ll say it again PATHETIC!!!
