Hackworthy did an amazing job!! Their confident, can do attitude helped us through an enormously stressful time and achieved what looked to be a near impossible removal!
We could not have managed without the packing service which saw years of accumulated stuff disappear into boxes at lightening speed. One very small improvement would perhaps be the better labelling of boxes and their more accurate relocation at the destination.
However, overall, Hackworthy lived up to their excellent reputation and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to other house movers. Our thanks to the entire team for a challenging job very well done!!

Their team were very respectful,efficient,friendly when moving our possessions. Hackworthy were also accommodating when we had to change our moving date the day before we had expected and having to rearrange another date soon after . This helped to minimise the whole stress off moving day . Value for money too

From the initial meeting when Kevin came to view our removal job, Cornwall to Devon, to the unloading of the very last box(of many) at our new home, this company was head and shoulders above any other we have used in the past. This was our 18th move! and now in our 70's we think it will be our last but, should we ever have to move again we would most certainly use Hackworthy & Sons and would highly recommend them to anyone moving.
Always calm and patient everyone we spoke to in the office instilled a sense of ease and confidence while we waited for the dreaded solicitors to exchange and give us a date. Then came move day.... we had a team of three, all worth there weight in gold. Happy, thoughtful and polite they were indeed a very professional team and a joy to be around. When we had finally unpacked the last box, 3 weeks later, I am delighted to report not one item had been damaged. Even my "instant garden of numerous pots and troughs survived. From initial contact and a couple of queries all of the staff at Hackworthy were absolutely brilliant. It's the first time we felt confident with someone else in charge. We needed to move over 2 days and both teams of movers were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, they took so much care of all our belongings and we all had a good laugh at the same time which took most of the stress away. Thank you everyone and we would definitely recommend you to other people.

From the initial consultation with Kevin the whole experience of dealing with Hackworthy & Sons was amazing. They were punctual, friendly and extremely professional. I can only recommend them to anyone reading this. A special mention to our crew of Dave, Tom and driver Jason. Tom on day one, and Dave and Jason for both days of our move plus a long journey. We could not believe how hard they worked, and were amazed at their cheerfulness in the heat and having to deal with what can only be described as a mountain of heavy boxes!!!! Sorry guys.

The move was made so much easier than we had expected it to be.
Packing was very quick and efficient on the Thursday and the three gents on Friday worked so cheerfully to get van packed and unpacked into our new home. Thank you everyone

Our experience with Hackworthy & Sons Ltd was nothing short of outstanding.

After being let down by a well-known regional removal company just one week before our move, we found ourselves in a very stressful situation. We needed a full three-day service, including packing, moving and unpacking, and were desperately searching for a reliable alternative. We contacted Hackworthy hoping they might be able to help.

From the very beginning, they were fantastic. Rather than making promises they couldn't keep, they first checked their provisional bookings before confirming they could take on the job – something I only wish our original removal company had done. They got back to us the following day with confirmation, and from that point onwards everything was handled professionally. Communication was excellent, invoicing was straightforward, and we already felt confident we had made the right decision before moving day even arrived.

The move itself exceeded all expectations. The packing team worked incredibly quickly and efficiently, taking great care to ensure everything was packed securely and protected throughout the move. The moving process itself was seamless, and the unpacking service was equally impressive. The team listened carefully to where everything needed to go, were exceptionally organised, and worked unbelievably hard despite it being the hottest day of the year. Nothing was too much trouble, and their positive attitude made what could have been an incredibly stressful experience feel remarkably easy.

The offer to collect all the empty boxes once we'd finished unpacking was another thoughtful touch that really demonstrated their excellent customer service.

We honestly couldn't have been happier with the service we received. Professional, friendly, hardworking, efficient and competitively priced, Hackworthy exceeded our expectations in every way. We would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a removal company.

We had a great and trouble free move wth a brilliant helpful and friendly crew, and a very impressive truck which was noted by our estate agent who was on site.

hackworthy was subcontracted by the International movers i had hired to do the packing and loading to the shipping container. I had so much broken and damaged goods on arrival and i could tell that one expensive piece in particular had been dropped on its head or packed upside down as opposed to on its side. I had impact damage that told me my entire load had shifted enroute.
After they packed up and left, i noticed they had not packed an entire cupboard and i was told that it was my fault as i was expected to be their unpaid supervisor. I have also noticed since arriving at my internationsl destination that an entire box of my Corningware casserole dishes is missing but no point in saying anything as the two companies point the finger at each other and in the end would only blame me.
Use at your own peril.

Hackworthy's moved us from Devon to Glasgow. The office staff and movers could not have been more helpful. Fees were competitive. We would definitely recommend using Hackworthy's.

The removal team were hard working and very helpful..My things were moved into storage. When they arrived to my permanent address several items were damaged,it appeared that they had suffered water damage while in storage.
There was also a chip to a wooden table and a large chunk taken out of a bookcase. I claimed but was told that dud to the excess I could not get any compensation. Disappointing service while in storage,better care should havd been taken. I can't in all honestly recommend them.

We received very good service from the company and the 2 young men who moved us were very good. They worked quickly and efficiently. Every thing went to plan. We were very happy

I only give it 5 stars as I cannot give it 6. This company were exceptional and so helpful from Kevin who guided us through the best way to achieve what we wanted from the move, some storage, some left and some immediately to our new house. As ften when moving house, the date moved on three occasions, but every time this was handled very efficiently by the office staff. As to the move itself, this being two days with one for packing and one for the move. The packing was excellent and worth every penny when you saw hw your artifacts were so carefull handled and packed away. Then the move itself again conducted professionally and the removal guys could just not do enough for us. (Mind you we did supply tea with an adequate supply of biscuits)!!
Cannot rate this company highly enough.

We chose Hackworthy & Sons to move our elderly mum.
The quote we received was very competitive in fact in was one of the better priced quotes we received.
They turned up on time.
Two guys came and packed Mum’s belongings into boxes with care and consideration.
They loaded all her furniture onto their van in exactly the same way and then delivered to her new address.
They were polite and courteous and made the whole experience faultless.
I would definitely recommend Hackworthy & Sons to do your removals.
The two guys that came were a credit to your company.
