I like the way CarTakeBack co-ordinates offers and acts as the front-of-house for second hand car dealers. It's a shame the office is open only Monday to Friday, since I had a query in advance of my sale & pick-up on a Saturday. I was concerned that the garage making an offer had no reviews on their own website, relying solely on the general reviews online covering all sales at CarTakeBack. It was hard to check out the garage in advance. But, in the end, the sale and pick-up went well.
I was unsure whether the declared fault had been sent to the bidder in advance of their first offer. The second offer was considerably less, even though I wanted to declare the fault up front. Anyway, it was a win-win sale, since the secondhand car dealer got a bargain, they'll re-sell at a profit, and I no longer have the responsibility for the upkeep of an old car.
