Good Overall Experience
A good experience from the very beginning until the handover. Except couple of occasions when my queries went unanswered, but apart from that, the overall experience was very positive. I am happy with my Mercedes-Benz purchase and looking forward to this positive experiencing in the future.

They keep changing the car pick up date…
They keep changing the car pick up date and no one knows when I can pick it up.
Update:
The Vehicle is Missing,To make matters significantly worse, when I demanded a firm update on where the vehicle is and when I can actually collect it, customer support admitted that they do not know where the car currently is in their logistics network. As of today, [30.10.2026], nobody at [Auto Hero] can tell me the physical location of a car I have purchased.

Ein ziemlich reibungsloser Ablauf; ich hatte keine Probleme. Besonders geschätzt habe ich: 1) dass alle Englisch sprechen, und 2) die Website mit hochauflösenden Fotos aller (selbst sehr kleinen) Mängel am Fahrzeug.

Everything went super smooth! I found the car I like on the website and followed the process. The Autohero staff were very polite and the entire process was documented in advance so I knew what to expect. I also called the support to ask additional questions and they were very helpful as well. I've now had the car for about half a year and so far I've been very happy.
In my case, I also sold my old car which made it very easy - I took the old car to the pick up date and basically swapped it with the new one.

Ok initially, later not so much
The initial contact and purchase was smooth. Unfortunately the car had extra damage when i picked it up and i had to then deal with the "complaints" department. The damage was documented by autohero themselves when picking up the car, i sent an email asking for a follow up only to be told... "you need to click the complaints button". I then used the magic button, made reference to the existing report made by autohero, only to be told... "you have to submit the damage yourself, we are not aware of any damage" and after a lot of back and forth i received almost nothing as compensation. They also answer exactly once a day and if called they say "send us an email and we will respond". Using a language other than german is also difficult, they mostly ask you to send them an email or mention they will call back.
I for one will look elsewhere next time when buying a car.
Follow up: was called about this feedback and was offered an appology, as well as some extra compensation options, hopefully the way complaints are handled is also improved.
