Courageous to be happy again - thanks to Dean!
I’ve known Dean for many years and observed his journey to transforming himself into a one of the most insightful and authentic relationship advisors. There is something about him that draws people to him when they are at their most vulnerable point in life. I never could explain why that is, but when I found myself in such place, I did not hesitate to turn to him for guidance and support. I felt confused, I felt devalued and lost. These were not my typical emotions as I pride myself on being strong, self-aware, certain and confident.
The energy that Dean approached me with was compassion and kindness. I felt safe to be weak, to grieve, to sit in the pain and allow it to pass through me. He helped me process and accept the loss. He never said ”you can do it, you’ll be ok”. Instead, he allowed me to internalize my feelings and find learnings and growth in pain in my grief. This was the most valuable process, to “drain the wound” entirely, not to let it infect my mind and soul and poison my next relationship.
This way of dealing with a break up allowed me to find back my strength and optimism, to not fall into blaming the other or shaming myself. I could look back and be grateful and at peace with it. This helped me clear the path and gain confidence in myself.
When I share my experience and perspective with others, they find it incredible how I found strength to deal with a break up with so much grace and love. But the truth it – I would not, if Dean wasn’t there for me. If he did not guide me and helped me see the more empowering way through – I would not find it myself. I had to re-listen to our conversations to just get the affirmation, to lean in and trust him and he never failed. I trusted Dean, I followed his advice and I am ever grateful for it. If you are looking for someone to help you navigate without judgement, with compassion, with kindness and with empathy – look no further. He will do all he can to help you, he will find the way to deliver the message in the way that will resonate with you and pull you out of the darkness. Sometimes, we just can’t do it ourselves and having Dean by my side landed me on a bright side of my future.
