110% unfit for purpose when it comes to tracking parcel that is a week late. Tracking info totally unreliable both online, watsapp, chat bott and actual info given by staff member. They have no idea where my week late parcel is. Nothing has changed since my last review dated 15.4.26 where same thing happened apart from "no attempted delivery" on this one. As far as have read and been told, my delivery remained at Dublin for 3 days, sent to Castleblaney which was wrong DSU, returned to Dublin where it will be returned to sender, it will be sent to Carrick on Shannon DSU which is correct DSU and finally back to Dublin. This was an urgent delivery for a friend. No idea where my parcel is or if in fact if or when it will be delivered. Latest An Post tracking as of 0719hrs todays states " we don't have information on your parcel yet". You couldn't make this review up.

(For remediation/ redress only) I was refunded the full amount of the package lost a few weeks ago and the staff in the area have changed and the deliveries have improved. It was pretty big of them to listen to my complaint, refund the money and do something about the ongoing situation as it was horrendous with the previous staff firing all theb15's into the first road with a 15 they found, parcels going point blank missing and saying "delivered" at weird times as well as multiple confusions over Hawthorn walk in Kilcarbery and Rathgar...I asked the previous postman to return some post to rathgar and he just said "toss it in the bin" thankfully some sanity has returned to the area and I'm not having neighbours call to my door asking for phantom parcels they also lost. Thank you an post for correcting the mayhem.

I like the website to buy the label, the user experience is great. My only problem with the service is that many times I bought the more expensive label hoping the deliver to arrive within the time shown (2 working days) and it took over 1 week to arrive. I live in a European country 3h away from Ireland, and the shipping time shows after i select the country. Regardless, it always arrives, eventually.

Appalling service from An Post. This company really brings incompetence to a new low level.
I have been waiting for a parcel from Amazon
since July 2026. On 15th September 2026 I received an email from An Post saying that they had my parcel, a new EU customs charge was due and also an admin fee. I paid the charge and fee on the same day. I next received an email from An Post confirming that the charge and fee had been paid and that they would release the parcel to me asap.
I have heard nothing since. It is now October 10th 2026. I can only assume that they have lost my parcel. I have called to the sorting station where the parcel should have been delivered to. I also rang the GPO to try to get advice. This was a complete waste of time. It is very obvious that An Post could not care less about customer service.
If anybody from An Post reads this I would appreciate real practical help rather then an insincere apology. The case and tracking details are below. Can somebody in An Post please investigate this and give me a reply?

Absolutely disgraceful service.
An Post were supposed to collect my package on the 5th its now the 7th, and it has still been left sitting outside in the rain. There has been no communication, no updates and no explanation as to why the collection never happened.
A booked collection is pointless if nobody arrives to collect the item, especially when the package is left exposed to the weather and potentially damaged.
Very disappointing customer service and a frustrating experience from start to finish. Customers deserve better communication and more reliable service.
Someone set up a new postal company quick

The pick up service is just the best idea. Just drop it at your front door and it's picked up..

As a long-standing business customer who has spent thousands of Euros on An Post services over the years, this experience has been completely unacceptable. We are facing a catastrophic technological failure that severely disrupts our e-commerce operations:
1. Unannounced Payment System Overhaul: An Post silently rolled out a completely new payment gateway system without any prior notice or warning to business users, leaving everyone completely in the dark.
2. Escalating Fatal Error Messages: The new system is fundamentally broken. Since Friday, October 2nd, our payment attempts have continuously crashed through three distinct failure stages:
- Starting with the persistent gateway block: "Unable to Process Payment. We're unable to process your payment at this time..."
- Followed by automatic checkout cancellations: "Your payment has been cancelled and no funds have been taken..."
- And culminating in today's hard crash showing "Payment error 9999. Transaction failed."
3. Paralyzed Domestic & International Operations: From Friday, October 2nd, until today, Tuesday, October 6th, we have been completely unable to pay for and dispatch any shipments—failing on both international parcels and domestic Irish customer addresses alike.
4. Zero Transparency and Dismissive Support: Despite providing detailed screenshots, error logs, and historical tracking proofs (such as EL300.......) to both the webchat support and Facebook assistance since Friday, we were met with dismissive excuses (initially blaming customer addresses or accented characters) instead of honest communication. An Post only published a vague notice about payment issues after three days of total radio silence.
Leaving business accounts stranded while a forced, untested system update breaks the entire shipping infrastructure is an absolute corporate disaster. One star is generous for this level of incompetence.

Over past 7 days An post never delivered to OOHPOD locker on two separate occasion and delivery hubs lost parcel when went for pick up

An Post responded with a generic automated message instead of solving the issue, refusing to provide any delivery timeframe and shifting the responsibility entirely to the sender. My package remains stuck in Dublin for over 8 days with zero proactive support or accountability. Telling customers to deal with the sender instead of fixing their internal delays is unacceptable customer service.

MY parcel, clearly addressed and showing my postcode was delivered to " the wrong office " Several attempted contacts did not provide any status update. Today using automated web chat, Oscar advised that my package was incorrectly sent to Kinsale! - I live in Mayo.
Customer agent told me the parcel " was redirected to Portlaise but no further information would be available at present. Considering the error was made by An Post the present situation is unacceptable,

Pathetic.. with the Tallaght Delivery hub moving from Tallaght to Lucan. Which is around 25 mins drive and about 1 to 1.5 hrs with public transport for people who don’t have a car, is just not fai as they don’t call while there are to deliver the notes instead of giving parcels.. the policy of not calling customers is also pathetic specially who start in apartments and don’t have intercom…

As a review for the entirety of the post service in Ireland, I’m calling it a first class, five star type of company.
Why? post being delivered and sent around the clock makes me glad the days of pigeon post are in the past for a starters.
Also service users have free information and 24/7 support from numerous sources- ride a bike with your important packages for a day and do admin at the same time and then come leave a bad review of how emotionally upsetting your experience at the post office was 🌚
I was inspired to write a positive review specially for a lady named Teresa- big up teresa if this is her boss reading this.
My package issue was dealt with in under 6 minutes & only 2 phone calls-
I counted.
Thank you for your service guys.
