The car was great, pretty new and in very good condition. The checkin was not as smooth as with other companies I rented in the past. There was only one employee attending at the time, and he was busy... See more

Rental
Waiting time at thr front desk was a bit longer amd the car wasn't cleaned perfectly. Overal a pleasant experience.
Unexpected damage charges and absolutely no customer service
I rented a car from Dryyve at Vienna Airport in August 2026.
After returning the vehicle, I was charged approximately €566 for three alleged damages that I am completely unaware of. At return, an employee confirmed that everything was okay.
I have contacted Dryyve twice by email and twice through their website contact form. No response whatsoever. Calling them is pointless, as their automated phone system just directs you back to email.
I still haven't received any damage reports, photographs or proper explanation of the charges.
Extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience. I cannot recommend this company.

Stay Away!
Stay Away!! It takes multiple emails and calls to get your refund back. Horrible customer service.
Salzburg rental - beware extra charges!
I rented a car from them from Salzburg airport back in March. The rental desk was off site and quite a distance from the terminal, but they give you a number for a taxi you can call to get to them. When picking up the car I was met with the usual deposit plus an extra deposit that I had not had with previous rental companies, being for any potential traffic fines. I was told and have email confirmation that this 'traffic fine deposit' would be held up to 6 months after rental.
It has now been more than 6 months and I haven't had this back yet, I am charged interest every month it sits on my account as they would only take credit card for it, and I have had no reply since emailing them to find out why my money is still with them. I am not aware of receiving any traffic fines so I'd like to know where my money is?
I feel that I have been scammed out of an extra £175 for what should have been a good value rental, and because of this would avoid using in future.
Dreadful experience - don’t use them
I had a dreadful experience with Dryyve. Upon arrival in Sicily to pick up our hire car we were hit with excessive and unexpected fees. They didn’t highlight that in Sicily it is at their discretion whether you need to have an international driving permit or not (only in the small print) and then they tried to make us pay for their premium insurance policy, which was approx €400 extra. Considering the initial rental price was €130, this was ridiculous. Then it turns out the car hire had a certain mileage we had to keep to and if we went over this there was an excessive fee per extra km. Never in all my experiences with hire cars have I had a mileage limit or so many extra fees that are hidden in the small print. After all this we decided to choose another car rental company. I will never use Dryyve again and would recommend avoiding them at all cost.
threat to buy insurance
We had booked a car for several days to explore Sicily. We purchased comprehensive insurance online. We were greeted by a long-haired man who literally threatened us, saying that if we didn't buy the insurance with him at the counter, we would have problems; a single scratch could cost us thousands of euros, and that our insurance didn't cover everything. He even said, "How do you think we make money from rentals?" It was so unpleasant that we decided not to pick up the car. Terrible service, a terrible impression they left on anyone arriving in Sicily. We then booked with a different company and everything went perfectly.
I rented the car
I rented the car , got no noticed that they track GPS data , I supposely got a fine even though I kept within a speed limit. Any other car rented company will say are specific about fines and GPS data , they tried to take the fine directly after 7 months , without actual proof, plus we have to pay the directly as the car was in my name.
They were been transparent about any fines at the start of the car rental.
It's all about trust
Imagine that you are in a business where customers pass through. They may well be from another country. You will probably never see them again. You have their credit card details. And so you just keep charging amounts to their credit cards...
That, unfortunately, is the business model of Dryyve Austrauto at Vienna Airport.
Most stressful, expensive hire experience. Do not use.
I hired a car from this location with a limit of 300km miles, which was fine as I was joining my parents 30km away and staying local for the week. When I returned the car I was comfortably under the limit and there were no issues, however I have since been charged over €1,000 for an addition 1,000+ km.
I would never use again and advise others to not hire from here, unless you want a very expensive, stressful situation.
Never again
Never again. Hidden fees. Feels like there are only so cheap to get you and then charge you hundreds of euros after that.
They even track you after you return the car to see where you went. Unbelievable there are close to be criminals
Very disappointing post-rental experience
Very disappointing post-rental experience
We rented a car from Dryyve at Vienna Airport for a family trip in August 2026. The car and the rental itself were fine, but our experience with post-rental charges and customer support has been extremely frustrating.
First, we were charged €99 for additional cleaning, apparently because of food crumbs left in the vehicle after travelling with children. I contacted Dryyve several times to dispute the charge and ask for an explanation, but received no substantive response. I eventually had to open a dispute with my credit card company.
More recently, Dryyve contacted me regarding a €45 Austrian traffic fine. The official authority notice shows that it was received by the rental company on 10 September 2026, but Dryyve did not forward it to me until 5 October 2026 — the final day of the four-week payment period stated on the notice.
I therefore had to arrange an international payment that same evening to make sure the fine was paid on time.
Dryyve initially charged my card €198 in connection with this €45 fine: €99 as a provisional “Traffic fine” charge and another €99 as a “Breach of contract fee fines”.
After I paid the €45 fine directly to the Austrian authority and provided proof of payment, Dryyve promptly refunded the first €99 charge. I appreciate that this part was resolved quickly.
However, the additional €99 breach-of-contract fee remains disputed. The rental agreement refers generally to the possibility of such a fee, but does not state an amount of €99. I have asked Dryyve to provide the Cost Table applicable to my rental showing the contractual basis for this specific €99 charge, but so far I have received no response.
The most frustrating part of the experience has been the difficulty getting meaningful responses when questioning additional charges.
The €99 cleaning charge and the additional €99 breach-of-contract fee are still unresolved. I will update this review if Dryyve provides the requested documentation or resolves these charges.
SCAMMERS
SCAMMERS! AVOID Dryyve/Wheego Maplensa!
They withheld €587 from my security deposit over a tiny mark on a tire, without any justification. They ignore all my emails and attempts to contact them. Absolutely dishonest and unacceptable!
They take a €99 deposit
They take a €99 deposit, supposedly to cover any future fines. However, after the rental period, they present GPS data and appear to use a filtering method to claim that the vehicle was travelling above 70 km/h. In my case, this does not reflect the road conditions or speed limits where I actually drove, as most of the route had a 100 km/h speed limit.
It has now been over six months, and I am still waiting for my €99 deposit to be refunded, with no clear explanation or indication of when I will receive it.
Based on my experience, I would be extremely cautious about using this company. Make sure you fully understand their deposit and alleged speeding-fine procedures before renting from them.
One of the worst experiences i have had…
One of the worst experiences i have had renting a car. The staff member at the Malpensa Dryyve was intimidating, misogynistic and bullying. We were not allowed to see the car before we took it out and then we were accused on scuffing the alloy upon return. we disputed this and refused to sign for the damage but the money was still charged to my credit card with no invoice/ list of repairs. No evidence of the scuff before i took the car and no evidence that it was repaired. Amount charged was about 5x the amount i would expect in UK. As i had no invoice i then couldn't go through the insurance company to claim. The whole thing felt set up from the start.
Do not rent from this company unless you want to be scammed.
The car we rented from Dryyve was fine, but their billing practices are highly unethical. A week after returning the vehicle, we were hit with over €800 in fabricated charges. Despite multiple calls and emails to resolve the issue, customer service has completely ignored us. Do not rent from this company unless you want to be scammed.
Scam
I have booked a car on Tuesday the 29.9 in malpensa Milano . When I realized there where many hidden costs, I told the man on the counter to cancel my booking and to return me the 99 euros paid on top of the rent Fee (for an additional 200 km ) and to de-block my account of the 990 euros . The man on the counter promised that both amounts will be returned immediately . Until
Today , 5th of October , I have not recieved the 99
Euros and the 990 euros are still blocking my account .
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We used them back in February and they have charged us so much extra money. We never received the £200 they owe us thay they promised would be returned in 6 months. Its a huge scam and they have ghosted us since trying to contact them to resolve this. Would consider sueing the company, never using and informing everyone I know to avoid them.
Charged over $2,000 for alleged damage that was already present
I had a very disappointing experience with DRYYVE.
The car was returned on 29/09/2026 and inspected together with a DRYYVE employee. We reviewed the vehicle and also compared it with the video I had recorded on the day of pick-up. The employee told me that everything was fine and that my deposit would be refunded.
Despite this, I was later charged USD 1,134.44 plus an additional USD 890.52, for a total of USD 2,024.96, for alleged damages that I strongly dispute.
I have video and photographic evidence from the day of collection, including photographs taken by DRYYVE itself, showing that some of the marks were already present before the rental.
The return report also does not show “New damage occurred” as selected, which is exactly what the employee showed me at the time of signing while telling me that everything was okay.
To make matters worse, I was charged these amounts without first receiving any invoice, repair estimate, detailed breakdown or clear explanation of what exactly I was being charged for.
I have formally disputed the charges and requested the invoices and full documentation several times. I am still waiting for a proper resolution and for the full refund of the amounts charged.
This situation has caused a great deal of stress and has been extremely disappointing. I will update this review when the case is resolved.
