Personal availability tells schedulers when you can work before they build a gig team or send an availability request. Marking Available does not book you onto a gig; accept the separate invitation or crew offer to confirm the work.
Availability features appear for organizations with crew availability enabled. In some shops, personal availability is the only calendar page members can open directly.

Open your availability

Personal availability lives at /availability. On organizations with crew availability enabled, open it from the header’s user menu (My Availability). It doesn’t otherwise appear in the main sidebar.
  1. Open My Availability from the user menu (web), or You → Availability (under My schedule) on mobile.
  2. Select Add Availability (web) or add a window on mobile. On the web, you can also click a day or drag across times on the calendar.
  3. Pick the Dates, then choose Available or Unavailable under Type. Add Notes if you want, such as “Out of town”.
  4. Select Create.
On the web, switch the calendar between Month, Week, Day, and Agenda, and select Today to jump back. Drag a window to move it, or drag its edge to change its times. If you belong to more than one organization, choose which one you’re updating from the organization menu at the top of the calendar. Select a saved window to change it (Update) or remove it (Delete availability).

Availability types

All-day entries

Use All day when your availability applies to the whole day. Soundcheck stores all-day entries as the full day.

Time windows

Use a start and end time when only part of the day is available or unavailable. The end time must be after the start time on the same day. Examples:
  • Available from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM
  • Unavailable before 3:00 PM
  • Available for a morning rehearsal

Multi-day entries

You can select a date range. Soundcheck saves one availability entry per day, so each day can be edited or removed later. With a time window, the start time applies to the first day and the end time to the last day. The days in between are covered in full. For example, Friday 9:00 AM to Sunday 5:00 PM shows as From 9:00 AM on Friday, All day on Saturday, and Until 5:00 PM on Sunday. On mobile, use Add end date to run a window past midnight.

Time booked by a shift

When you accept a shift, Soundcheck marks that time as booked on your availability so schedulers can see the conflict. It does not stop someone from sending you an overlapping offer. In the mobile app, the window shows as Booked with the gig’s name. You can’t edit or delete a blocked window. Decline or cancel the shift to free the time.

Responding to requests

Availability requests from schedulers show up as Availability checks in My Mailbox under the Availability filter. Open requests also appear in an Availability requests card at the top of My Availability, where you select Respond. Responding Available or Unavailable updates the request and adds your answer to your availability calendar. No extra approval step. Schedulers with org access may also see aggregate Availability counts on the org Mailbox without a full crew calendar.
