Waiting for Review Since 7 October, No Response to Support or Expedite Request
Our educational application has remained in "Waiting for Review" since 7 October 2026. The initial submission entered review on 5 October and was subsequently rejected. We addressed the feedback and resubmitted on 7 October. It has now been 8 days without any further status change. We have already submitted an expedited review request and contacted App Review Support, but have received no response. This delay is affecting our planned rollout to students ahead of the institution's academic year. App ID: 6809905487 Current Status: Waiting for Review Latest Submission: 7 October 2026

Waiting for Review after addressing 4.3(a) and NFC information request; support cases unanswered
Hello App Review team and fellow developers, We’re seeking assistance with Communicator Pro, version 2.0.2 (App Store ID: 6514321736). Here is the timeline: September 29: Build 102 was rejected under Guideline 4.3(a). App Review identified overlapping storefront availability with another app we submitted. Apple also requested a physical-device video demonstrating NFC functionality. The response included an “Extended Review” warning. October 1: We replied that we had removed the other app, Communicator Cloud, from the App Store and attached a video demonstrating NFC tag scanning and assignment on a physical iPhone. After receiving no further response, we withdrew the previous submission and resubmitted the same build. The current submission remains “Waiting for Review.” We contacted Apple Developer Support on October 9 and October 14 but have not received a response so far. We can provide case numbers privately through an appropriate Apple support channel. We understand that additional verification can take time. Could an App Review representative please check whether any information or action remains outstanding, and whether extended review or an account-level restriction is affecting this submission? We would be happy to provide further information or discuss any remaining concerns by phone. If other developers have experienced a similar situation, we would also appreciate hearing how it was resolved. Thank you for your assistance. The Communicator Pro team

App Previews not served for iPhone since ~Oct 5 — reproducible on apps.apple.com for every app (FB25109947)
Since around October 5, the App Store has stopped delivering App Preview videos for the iPhone platform. This is not a settings or device issue — it's visible in Apple's own server response. Reproduce in 30 seconds, no device needed: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/candy-crush-saga/id553834731?platform=ipad — preview video present (plays on hover). Same URL with ?platform=iphone — no preview, no poster frame; carousel starts at screenshot 1. View source: the ipad response contains an apptrailers.itunes.apple.com/…/*.m3u8 reference; the iphone response contains none. Same result for Wordscapes, my own app (LineSpell, id6795994376, preview verified in Media Manager), and the UK storefront. The Internet Archive has the Candy Crush iPhone page carrying the stream in every snapshot from March 2025 through Oct 5, 2026 12:06 UTC (web.archive.org/web/20261005120601id_/https://apps.apple.com/us/app/candy-crush-saga/id553834731), so this began between Oct 5 and Oct 8 — coinciding with the Asset Library / creative-assets launch on Oct 5. On device: iPhone 17 Pro (iOS 27.0.1) and iPads on iPadOS 26.6.2 / 26.7.1 show no previews or poster frames for any app. An iPad Pro 12.9" on iPadOS 16.7.16, same Apple Account and network, shows all of them. In-App Event videos play fine on the affected devices. As of Oct 8, 1:30 PM ET: still absent for Candy Crush and LineSpell; NYT Games' iPhone page has a stream again, so it may be recovering progressively. Filed as FB25109947 and Developer Support case 102990230664. If you're seeing the same, please add your FB number here — and if your iPhone previews have come back, say when.

Existing screenshots not displayed in Preview
My App Preview videos display correctly, but none of the existing screenshots are visible in Preview. Both the released version and new created version. However, in the Asset Library (one of the newly introduced tabs in App Store Connect), those screenshots are marked as used in all versions. I tried to re-upload the screenshots or browse from assets, but the system returned an error. I suspect this happens because the screenshots are already attached to the version but fail to display, which prevents any new screenshots from being added. Another similar issue is that previews for newly added assets disappear as soon as the web page is switched. I uploaded a video/screenshot for the Header and Search Results. Although it processed successfully, the preview does not display unless I manually click the Preview button. Furthermore, if I navigate to a different page in App Store Connect (such as switching to another localized language to add a new asset) and then return to the original language, the preview is completely gone. However, according to the Asset Library, the header asset has already been successfully added. It appears that the Preview function in the newly updated App Store Connect is experiencing bugs. Currently, this issue is blocking me from submitting new versions. Filed FB25118327

App Shows “Ready for Distribution” but Is Unavailable on the App Store
Hi everyone, My iOS app (version 1.0) was approved over 24 hours ago and has been showing “Ready for Distribution” in App Store Connect since then. The app is configured to be available in 172 countries and regions, but it's still inaccessible on the App Store. When opening the direct App Store link: On the web: “The page you're looking for can't be found.” On iPhone: “App Not Available. This app is currently not available in your country or region.” I've confirmed that my country is included in the selected availability regions. It's now been over 24 hours, and the app is still not accessible. Has anyone experienced this before? Is this a known App Store propagation delay, or could there be an issue on Apple's end that requires intervention? I've attached screenshots showing both errors. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

App does not appear in search for its exact name — query appears to be auto-corrected
Our app Chambito (App ID 6793927577) does not appear in App Store search results when searching its exact name, in the Paraguay and Argentina storefronts. What we have verified: Searching "chambito" → our app does not appear in any position. Chambord-related apps are returned instead. Searching "chambito." (name plus any single character) → our app is the first result. Searching "chambito app" → our app appears correctly. Searching "mas que bien service" (our developer name) → our app appears correctly. Searching "mucama" (one of our keywords) → our app appears correctly. This indicates the app is correctly indexed and relevant for the term. The issue appears to be that App Store search rewrites the query "chambito" to "chambord" before the search is performed, so our app is never evaluated. What we have already tried, without success: Corrected the declared app language in the binary (it was English, now Spanish) Updated the subtitle to include the brand name Added "chambito" to our keywords None of these changed the result, which is consistent with the correction happening before our metadata is evaluated. The app has been live for a month and is actively used in both countries. Users contact us saying they cannot find it in the App Store. We have five support cases open on this topic (102974689328 and others) and have not been able to get the issue escalated. Has anyone found a way to resolve this?

Spam Rejection Flutter VPN App
Hi! I’ve just received my seventh rejection for the exact same reason — Guideline 4.3(a) (Spam) — with no real hope of moving forward. I have been developing a free cross-platform VPN app using Flutter since May 12, 2026, continuously adding new features and refining the codebase. Although the iOS version currently boasts the most extensive functionality, it is still insufficient to successfully pass the review process. Before the last submission, I had a review call with an Apple representative who told me the key issue was "code similarity". I spent time improving the Xray VPN core and optimizing traffic routing. Then, after making minor UI tweaks and leaving the description virtually unchanged, I submitted a new version — only to be rejected again. Honestly, I’m at a loss as to what the problem could be. The app features a well-crafted, proprietary codebase and unique functionality that I haven't seen anywhere else, despite extensive research. Recent iterations have added: A modular configuration builder for VLESS/VMess/Trojan/Shadowsocks protocols that flags user errors during key creation, suggests options, and pings the specified address; VPN usage statistics — broken down by hour, data saved, and frequently visited resources (data is collected only with user consent and deleted upon request); Data usage display aligned with the imported subscription. Could the issue stem from the nature of a cross-platform Flutter app built for iOS? Is it possible that the default codebase simply cannot achieve the level of uniqueness Apple demands? I’m starting to lose hope that publishing a Flutter VPN app is even possible. It feels like the App Store simply doesn't approve apps of this type anymore, regardless of their functionality. Please share your experience in resolving issues like this — specifically, how you managed to pass the review after a "Spam 4.3(a)" rejection? Perhaps someone has also submitted a Flutter VPN app based on Xray Core for review? External TestFlight link from the 6th submission: https://testflight.apple.com/join/cp7a1yMC. Unable to Renew or Access Previous Apple Developer Organization (No Response from Support)
Apple Case ID: 102992438670 I'm hoping someone can help me resolve what should be a fairly straightforward account issue, because I've now been waiting five days for a response from Apple Developer Support. Several years ago, I operated my own consulting company and used its Apple Developer account to build and distribute apps for several clients. Those clients and their businesses have since gone away, and I've moved on to working with another organization, whose developer account I also have access to. I'm now developing a couple of new apps that I'd like to distribute through my original company's account. Here's the problem: My original company no longer appears in the organization dropdown when I log in to the Apple Developer portal. The company does still appear in App Store Connect, where I'm listed as the account owner/admin. There's a "Manage" link next to the account, but clicking it takes me to the other, currently active organization, with no apparent way to switch back. My Apple Developer membership is active and paid, but I suspect the original company's membership has expired and needs to be renewed. I cannot find any way to access or pay for that renewal. Five days ago, I submitted a support request explaining the situation. I've received no meaningful response or guidance. I understand that Apple operates at enormous scale, but this is a frustrating experience for an independent developer. I'm trying to follow Apple's processes, pay the required membership fees, and publish applications through a platform that will also receive a percentage of their revenue. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a response within a business week, particularly when the issue appears to be as simple as restoring access to an existing account or providing a way to renew its membership. I'm not asking for special treatment. I'm asking for a way to pay Apple and continue developing software for its platform. If anyone knows how to recover access to an existing organization, renew a membership that no longer appears in the Developer portal, or get an actual response from Developer Support, I'd appreciate the guidance. And if someone from Apple happens to read this: please recognize how discouraging it is for independent developers to be left without even a response when we're simply trying to do business on your platform.

App Review Stuck in “In Review” for 5 Days – No Review Decision
Hi everyone, I submitted my app for App Review on August 14, 2026, at 2:39 PM. I later submitted an updated version again on September 9, 2026. The latest submission has been showing “In Review” for the past 5 days, but I still haven’t received any review decision or additional information from the App Review team. As I understand it, once an app enters the “In Review” status, a review decision is generally provided after the review is completed. However, in my case, the status has remained unchanged for several days. Has anyone experienced a similar situation recently? Is it normal for an app to remain in “In Review” for this long, or is there anything I should do from my side? Any advice or guidance would be appreciated. Thank you!

App Store Rejection Under Guideline 4.2 (Minimum Functionality) – Hybrid Capacitor App With Native iOS Features and External Booking System
Summary I am seeking clarification regarding an App Store rejection under Guideline 4.2 – Design – Minimum Functionality, specifically around expectations for booking and payment flows in apps that rely on third-party, industry-standard reservation platforms. This app is a production application for a licensed transportation (black car / limo) service. It includes multiple native iOS features implemented via Capacitor and custom Swift plugins. However, the booking and payment flow depends on a third-party transportation platform (RideBits) that does not currently support deep linking with prefilled parameters or programmatic booking APIs. Before committing to a significant architectural change, I am hoping to understand whether Apple’s expectation under Guideline 4.2 is that all transactional booking and payment flows must be fully native and controlled by the app developer, even when third-party systems are operationally required. ⸻ App Context The app is designed for a real transportation business and is not a content, marketing, or browsing application. It is purpose-built for trip booking, pickup coordination, and customer interaction. The third-party platform (RideBits) handles: • Dispatch and driver assignment • Vehicle inventory and pricing rules • Payment processing • Trip lifecycle management This platform is central to business operations and is commonly used in this industry. ⸻ Native Functionality Implemented The app includes meaningful native iOS functionality beyond web content, including: • Native Core Location access (with permission handling) • Native reverse geocoding using CLGeocoder via a custom Swift Capacitor plugin • Native clipboard integration • Native iOS share sheet integration • Apple Maps deep linking • Custom CAPBridgeViewController with explicit plugin registration All native plugins were verified at runtime and tested on physical devices and simulators. ⸻ Booking Flow Constraint The third-party platform does not currently support: • Deep links with prefilled booking parameters • Passing pickup/dropoff data via URL • Native SDK embedding • APIs for programmatic booking creation As a result, even when pickup data is collected natively, users must re-enter details within the booking flow. ⸻ App Review Outcome Despite adding additional native functionality, the app was rejected again under Guideline 4.2, with feedback stating the experience is not sufficiently differentiated from web browsing and that features such as Core Location or sharing alone are not robust enough. ⸻ Clarification Requested I am hoping to better understand Apple’s expectations in this scenario: 1. Is Apple’s expectation that core booking and payment flows must be fully native to satisfy Guideline 4.2, regardless of industry-standard third-party dependencies? 2. Would an app be considered acceptable if the booking UI is native, but final transaction submission occurs through a third-party system? 3. Are there known precedents for service or transportation apps using third-party booking platforms that have successfully passed review? 4. Is the issue primarily technical (missing native features), or conceptual (core value relies on an external flow)? ⸻ Purpose of This Post Before undertaking a major rebuild of pricing, payments, and booking logic in-house, I want to ensure there is no App Store–acceptable architecture that allows: • Meaningful native functionality, and • Continued use of a third-party operational booking platform. Any guidance or shared experience would be greatly appreciated.

Multiplatform App Waiting While visionOS updates continuously approved
Submitted a new Multiplatform app about a week and half ago and to date the iOS and macOS releases are still waiting for review while the visionOS submissions are reviewed and approved within the 24/48 hour as promised by Apple. The visionOS build is so far forward on its feature set and bug fix path that it makes me wonder if it even makes sense to support Multiplatform builds going forward if Multiplatform submissions are not covered as one review for a streamline release.

App Stuck in "Waiting for Review" for 5+ Days – No Response from Apple Support
Hello, Our latest app update has been stuck in "Waiting for Review" for over 5 days, with no progress or status changes. We've already submitted two support requests to Apple, but unfortunately, haven't received any response. This unusual delay is affecting our planned release schedule, and we haven't received any requests for additional information from Apple. Is anyone else experiencing similar delays? Is there a known issue or backlog affecting the App Review process? Any insights or assistance from the Apple team would be greatly appreciated. CaseID: 102991266326 Thank you!

Repeated App Review Rejections Despite Fixes — How Do We Get Specific Feedback?
Hi everyone, We're an independent development team preparing to launch our first iOS app and we've been stuck in the App Review process for over a month. We've received repeated rejections citing the same issues, even after making changes specifically intended to address Apple's feedback. Our biggest challenge isn't necessarily the rejection itself. We're happy to make whatever changes are required to comply with Apple's guidelines. The problem is that we're struggling to get clarification about what specifically remains noncompliant. We've responded through App Store Connect requesting additional details, but haven't received meaningful clarification. We've also contacted Apple Developer Support without getting a clear path toward resolution. We're now in a situation where we're submitting updated builds without knowing whether we're actually addressing the review team's concerns. My questions for developers who have experienced something similar: Has anyone successfully resolved repeated rejections where App Review continued citing the same guideline after fixes were implemented? Is there an effective way to request a conversation with an App Review representative or obtain more specific technical feedback? Are there any additional channels or approaches that have helped you break out of this cycle? We're not looking to bypass Apple's guidelines. We simply want to understand exactly what needs to change so we can get our app compliant and launched. Any advice or firsthand experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

iOS App and In-App Purchases Stuck in Review While macOS Version Is Approved
Hello Apple Developer Community, I'm experiencing an issue with the App Review process for my app and would appreciate any guidance from developers who have faced a similar situation. App ID: 6806242528 My macOS app has been approved, but my iOS app and associated In-App Purchase products have been stuck in the review process since September 28, 2026. Today is October 12, 2026, and there has been no update for approximately two weeks. Previously, my app was rejected under Guideline 2.1 – Information Needed. I carefully reviewed the feedback, completed the requested requirements, and submitted a response through App Store Connect along with a screen recording captured on a physical device demonstrating the app's functionality. Since submitting the requested information and recording, I have not received a further response or a clear update regarding the review status. I have also contacted Apple Customer Support previously regarding the iOS app issue, but I am still looking for clarification on the current review status and next steps. Has anyone experienced a similar situation where the macOS version was approved, but the iOS app and associated In-App Purchases remained in review? I would appreciate advice on the following: Is it normal for the iOS app and In-App Purchase products to remain in review after the macOS version has been approved? Is there a recommended way to follow up with the App Review team when a response and requested materials have already been submitted? Should I take any additional action in App Store Connect, or simply continue waiting? Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Can a telehealth subscription offering 1-on-1 video consultations use a custom Stripe in-app checkout instead of IAP?
Hi everyone, I am building a telehealth and weight-loss platform where the main service provided to patients is 1-on-1 live video consultations with doctors and dietitians, along with lab reviews and chat support. Originally, our business model was designed with an external web checkout. However, we are now evaluating whether we can offer the subscription checkout directly inside the mobile app using a custom payment gateway (e.g., Stripe) instead of Apple In-App Purchase (IAP). Our Context & Business Model: Core Service: The primary value is human professional care (telehealth 1-on-1 video calls). Splits & Payouts: Our model relies on direct payment splits/commissions to physicians and dietitians per consultation, which is handled via custom payment processor APIs (Stripe Connect). Subscription: Patients pay a recurring monthly fee that includes access to the platform and scheduled video calls. Questions: Does the fact that the primary deliverable is a 1-on-1 live video consultation (real-world human service) allow us to embed a custom credit card/Pix checkout (like Stripe) directly inside the iOS app? Or does selling a recurring subscription inside the app automatically trigger mandatory Apple IAP (Guideline 3.1.1)? If embedded custom payment gateways are strictly prohibited inside the app for this subscription model, is keeping the payment strictly on an external web browser (outside the app) the only compliant way to use Stripe/custom gateways without paying IAP commissions? Thanks for your help!

Scheduled App Review Appointment
I have a scheduled app review appointment call at 3am(!) tomorrow/tonight to get clarification on why we keep getting rejected and how to remedy that. What should I expect? I am not the developer of my own app. Would it behoove me for my developer to be on the call too in order to properly answer technical questions?
