Absolutely one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a company. Auto Haul Movers LLC quoted me $649 to transport my vehicle from Michigan to Texas, including all taxes, fees, and insurance. After I paid a $200 deposit, they suddenly increased the price to $1,400 — MORE THAN DOUBLE THE ORIGINAL QUOTE!

When I questioned this ridiculous price increase, they threatened me with contract violations, cancellation fees, attorney fees, and collection costs if I disputed the charge with my bank.

This is completely unacceptable and feels like a bait-and-switch scam! They lure customers in with low prices, collect deposits, and then demand significantly more money.

I have screenshots proving everything, including their original quote, the increased price, and their threatening messages.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR MONEY! Save yourself the headache and find a reputable transportation company. I wouldn’t recommend Auto Haul Movers LLC to anyone. ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE!

These people got over on my cousin. Did not give him back his deposit after changing the price. Please do not use them and post on every social media outlet

Updated review- customer service was receptive to my concerns over a state to state move. Any perceived problems were resolved by customer service.

DO NOT USE AUTO HAUL MOVERS LLC! I entered into an agreement for the transportation of my vehicle for a total price of $950.00 with John Marks. I signed an agreement agreeing to a $950.00 TOTAL transport fee and paid a $300.00 deposit by Zelle. I should have never done this! I awaited my pick up window the following week before my relocation. The document I signed is presented as an AGREEMENT for transportation services—NOT a quote or estimate. It contained specific language stating the total price which I confirmed with my representative, along with anticipated pickup and delivery dates. At no time before I paid my deposit was I informed that the agreement price would later increase by more than double. When it was time for my pick up I had to call them and John Marks informed me that the transportation price increased to over $2200.00. When I questioned this, he attempted to characterize the signed agreement as merely an estimate, his communications then became argumentative, dismissive, condesending, and unprofessional. The page I signed is presented as an agreed upon total contract, with a firm and settled AGREEMENT for services at a fixed price, not a quote. Because Auto Haul Movers LLC failed and refused to honor the agreed-upon price point, I was forced to secure alternate transportation elsewhere. Another supoort representative Chris attempted to continue to try and hassle me into paying a higher rate, not letting me off the phone with out agreeing, even after stating several times that I did not want to work with Auto Haul Movers any more, they caused me so much unnecessary stress and aggravation. When I tried to recieve my refund, they continued to argue that they "did dispatch and operational work" for a car that was never shipped and insisted on keeping $150.00 of my deposit. Beware, the agreement does not outline a specific dollar amount for cancellations and my full $300 deposit has not been returned as requested as of September 17, 2026. They are nothing but scammers!

I was quoted a pick up date and price but after hiring them I was told the price would be 3-4 times higher, the driver did not have insurance and had a history of damaging vehicles. I cancelled and was told I had to pay $50 because they tried to find someone.

Stay away from this Company! You will have an agreement for a price and than the driver won’t release the car to you because they want more money even though you have an agreement in your hand . They won’t release the car! We are calling the police, and they won’t answer their phone.

Do not use this company. They stole my $200 deposit and tricked me into canceling my VENMO dispute. They are Inactive with FMCSA and therefore are not even authorized to enter into contract agreements let alone broker auto hauls.

Caution: Do NOT pay any deposit upfront.

I would not personally use Auto Haul Movers again, but if you choose to work with them, do not pay any money upfront. Only pay a deposit after they have successfully assigned a driver who agrees to your specified budget.

In my case, I paid a $350 initial deposit, but they were unable to secure a driver within my budget range. Getting my money returned required significant time, hassle, and escalation. To their credit, management eventually issued a full refund and provided a written apology for the ordeal, which I appreciate. However, to save yourself the unnecessary headache, ensure they find a carrier at your agreed price before handing over a single dollar.

John Marks did an outstanding job shipping my Subaru Outback from Pennsylvania to South Carolina. Five-star experience!
