If you want guests, family and friends to feel that they are welcome visitors, this is the cake for you.
The chocolate sponge is moist, the filling is sumptuous through all three layers. One slice is enough; especially if you add cream.
On a down note, the macaroons do not work. On our cake they become soggy after defrosting and were not enjoyable.
Do not let that put you off though. I would try other celebration cakes from the PV range.

In these challenging times, we wished to purchase our plants on-line rather than visit a garden centre. We found the Longacres website easy to use and on both times we used it, everything went well. The first delivery was on the day agreed and the second delivery was earlier than we requested; however, we were very happy with that.

The package was posted on time and delivered within the agreed next day deliver. However, the parcel was delivered to the wrong address (16 instead of 18) and no notification that it had been incorrectly delivered.

I was drawn to Starling by their web site and customer reviews. I am a conventional user of banks; therefore moving to an App based process was daunting.
As I only use the account for a small number of transactions (approx. 12 per month), i have found the App easy to use. Perhaps if I was carrying out substantially more transactions, the dashboard for the App would need improvement.
Would be happy (at this time: February 2020) to recommend Starling.
