I will not purchase anything through Skool again
This was my first paid purchase through Skool, and after this experience I do not plan to ever purchase another product through the platform.
I paid $97 for access to a paid community/course sold through Skool.
Before purchasing, I specifically confirmed in writing with the seller that certain ready-made digital materials were included in the product. I received a clear written confirmation and made the purchase based on that confirmation.
After payment, I could not find or access the materials that had been specifically confirmed to me before I paid.
I also discovered only after purchasing that parts of the content were locked behind Skool's community level system, where users may be required to post, comment, receive likes and earn points in order to unlock content. These additional access requirements were not disclosed to me before I paid.
At that point, I expected Skool to provide meaningful buyer protection.
I contacted the seller and tried to resolve the issue.
I also contacted Skool Support, explained what happened, documented the problem and requested a full refund.
Neither the seller nor Skool resolved the issue for me, and I received no refund.
I ultimately had to contact my bank and open a dispute regarding the $97 transaction.
My main problem is not simply that I disliked a course. My problem is that I paid through Skool after receiving a specific written confirmation about what I was buying, encountered a problem after payment, and then found that the platform through which I paid did not provide me with an effective resolution.
As a customer, that completely destroys my trust in Skool as a place to purchase digital products and paid communities.
After this experience, I personally will not purchase another course, community or subscription through Skool.
I also have an audience of my own, and based on my experience I will advise my followers to be extremely cautious about making purchases through Skool and, personally, I would recommend using platforms with clearer buyer protection and refund procedures instead.
If Skool changes how it handles buyer disputes and provides stronger protection when paid products are not delivered as represented, I would be happy to reconsider my opinion.
But based on my experience today, I cannot recommend Skool as a platform for buyers.
I paid $19.00 for a membership in a…
I paid $19.00 for a membership in a community hosted on Skool ("%1 YouTube Kulübü") on August 6, 2026. After finding the course quality unsatisfactory, I requested a refund directly from the community owner. Instead of responding, the owner cancelled my membership and removed me from the group — without issuing any refund.
I filed a formal complaint with Skool support. A representative (Nisa) looped in the community's admin team, but they never responded. I sent two more follow-up emails over the following weeks, including a final demand, and still received no refund and no substantive resolution.
It has now been over two weeks with no outcome. Skool's support team acknowledged the issue but was unable (or unwilling) to enforce a refund from the community owner, effectively leaving me with no service and no money back. I've had to open a dispute directly with my bank to get my money back.
If you're considering joining a paid community on Skool, be aware that refunds are entirely at the discretion of individual community owners, and Skool's own support team has limited power to intervene if an owner simply stops responding.
Black Hole
Cult-ish. Poor customer service. Public humiliation. A Black Hole.
The CEO does not acknowledge Skool community owners as paying customers = so they don't have any quality customer service skills either. Skool does not allow us to leave reviews, but they recently forced a review feature onto our communities. Although this affects every community, they only allow reviews to be published by community owners with MRR communities = paid subscription members (the best selling monthly communities) and not for freemium communities. But the review feature will be on all, yet only members who pay a monthly subscription to be in your community can leave a review. Therefore, if you have a freemium community or even one-time payments, you'll get "no reviews" by your community regardless if someone wants to leave one or not. So it hurts some community owners.
When brought to Sam Ovens attention, he himself replied saying it's "our" fear holding us back vs. actually considering the feedback for a toggle option, etc. and any other opposing feedback or questions were shut down with rude, condescending, and unhelpful comments by him and his minions (Skooler Moderators, 🍑 kissers).
He also directly said to me on the Skoolers post relating to this review feature to "watch the video" in place of answering my question -- which was very rude of him to assume and an attempt to humiliate me because I did watch it and the answer in the video was not to my liking so I asked him directly and that was his answer. As if he can read minds. Why comment at all if that's what your going to say... as CEO.
I've paid them monthly for my community to be hosted on their platform and I spent a lot of my time creating content there for almost a year thus far.
I am changing platforms because Ovens and his admins to the Skoolers community - the only way other than email to access customer service - treat community owners (their customers) like they are stupid and incompetent when in reality - it is him who is unwise.
Any CEO who does not know how to respectfully answer questions, take feedback, or treat their customers well is not going to make it that far, regardless of how far they think they have.
They play favorites, suppress communities based on engagement, while pushing others. Being in a Skool community outside of my own is hell. Notifications don't stop. All day. It's like a rabbit hole.
The communities that are successful are successful because they had a pre-existing fan-base or community and are their own bosses basically -- not because of petty Sam Owens and his virtual patronizing bullies.
Sitting on his high horse, and he can't even see the need for "Skool" is not high at all in our world.
It is not better than social media. It's worse. It's a replacement for social media. It's like a cult. A black hole with a toxic inner-culture.

Decided to try the 14 day free trial onely it's not a free trial they want your bank details , the sight is rubbish so after 1 day I tried to close account and there's no option, contacted support they sent me an email telling me free trial cancelled then they tried to charge my account for the membership. Very sketchy company, beware of inner culture
Very sketchy company, up to and including you cannot put a review on skool.com, but diverts you here.
If you ask a public question and it is not “positive enough” it is deleted… no hard questions or criticism allowed.
It seems many AI driven members,,,,, each time an employee posts its like 30 people auto like within seconds…. No comments, just “yeah” or “do it”. Just like a den of scammers.
First they sell a 9.99
Then make you feel stupid to not spend 99
Then, drum roll….. they are not finished with you yet.
The master course if you want to be a MILLIONAIRE LIKE ME!
They tout the course non stop, BUT WILL NOT DISCLOSE,PRICING PUBLICLY…. Very shady, like a used car dealership….. psst make an appointment, we will give you the inside scoop….. so of course the privacy….
You are qualified and then charged their special price….
Which is never disclosed publicly Shady and secretive
I was banned from the skool class for insisting they disclose pricing on their “special master class” let that sink in! A totally controlled and censured environment!
Creepy, conversation controlling, no real humans worth any help….. its like some stupid rah rah cult for followers….
Yet they NEVER SHOW SOLID PROOF OF EARNINGS
And also full of scammers, people cutting and pasting things begging for members and money….. gross
its, like little children squealing about nothing, and so much is ai generated…. Not worth a real person
Good, luck with this silly ecosystem
I had a very disappointing experience…
Very disappointing experience with Skool. I started receiving repeated unauthorized charge attempts of 190 USD almost every day from them. I never subscribed to any community at this price, and I did not authorize these payments.
The only reason the transactions were declined is because my card was frozen. I contacted support about this serious issue, but I received no response.
A platform handling customer payment information should take these situations seriously and provide proper support. This experience caused unnecessary stress and completely damaged my trust in the platform.
It’s a scam guys stay well away
It’s a scam guys stay well away. They process payments without authorisation. Do not respond to any communication attempts on purpose. STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS PLATFORM
Absolute scam
Absolute scam. I never agreed to pay for their services and they have made it next to impossible to unsubscribe.
It also serves zero purpose when you start to "try" and use it.
Incredibly hard to unsubscribe from…
Incredibly hard to unsubscribe from subscriptions that they force you to pay within a week this is a scam stay away.
Automatically signed up and charged…
Automatically signed up and charged without clear consent:
I never intentionally signed up for Skool in the first place. I ordered Hormozi’s books and, without my explicit permission, that somehow resulted in an automatic Skool subscription tied to my payment method. I was then billed for a service I never chose or wanted.
When I tried to fix it, the cancel process was a mess. The option to cancel was buried, the interface kept trying to get me to enter card details just to cancel, and it took way too long just to stop future charges. I also couldn’t remove my payment method until I managed to navigate their hidden subscription settings.
In my opinion this is deceptive and predatory behavior: I should never be auto‑signed up and charged for a platform just because I bought books, and canceling should not be this hard. Bullshit
Just a bunch of useless communities that will steal your money if you let them...
This one is a collage of scammers and oh btw if and when you get scammed (i.e. misleading offers) Skool does little to help. My situation was that they asked the admin of a group to refund. The admin said no and they said "welp, sorry we tried"
You're better off using Claude, Discord, or even Whop...
Alex Hormozi, fix your online website, vet each and every group, and most of all get better support! Is this guy big papa scammer or what
Also, isn't it interesting that Skool has not even tried claiming their Trustpilot and they don't even respond to these reviews? It really shows how much they "care" about their customers
Scam charge and then radio silence
I don't know what kind of scam this is. I will echo what other reviewers have said. I was charged without any reason. No payment shows up on my account, but my card was charged. I never signed up to the paid plan, cancelled the free trial well on time. I'm not signed up to on any community.
The charge was not even for the membership -- it was a larger charge.
I contacted support and received a response that they would investigate. And then radio silence. They are ignoring me.
It's clearly a system issue whereby Skool is making money and the customer support is non-existent or being told to ignore us so they can keep the money.
I would strongly recommend that users DO NOT USE SKOOL.
paid £9 per month to Join which was…
paid £9 per month to Join which was affordable only to find hidden hurdles to being able to interact with the user community. Reach level 2 and you can get seen by other creators & members on there but have to reach 90 members within 30days. Skool should explain to beginners these rules before taking their money, So it felt like I had been scammed. The account when deleted gets archived & they carry on taking money monthly. That IS a scam. Then after joining money taken you discover unless you upgrade for 99£/$ per month you cannot set on any affiliates or do anything remotely useful to gather a following it is useless to a beginner if they like me can't afford to upgrade. It is all kept hidden by Google & Skool "partners"! Even chat GPT won't disclose the truth (i asked chatgpt before joining) All too good to be true on misleading FB ads (probs another partner) Misleading & conning trusting folks out of cash. What an embarassment. Why aren't Skool just honest from the get go? More levels of pricing are needed to keep total beginners inclusive of the user/member community & allow them to be able to use affiliate tools from the start. The tools are held to ransom by greedy developers & stakeholders. The Trustpilot scores speak for themselves. Had to give 1 star as there isn't a zero star option. This is the very 1st time I didn't check Trustpilot scores before joining a platform & here I am, that has taught me a lesson. Very annoyed.. Note how all the 1 star reviews reverberate the same dissatisfaction & levels of deceit, misrepresentation and financial abuse. Rant over (on here at least)
Scamming people in the name of Islam
I am a software engineer with over four years of experience. Recently, the job market in Canada has become extremely challenging, so I began exploring opportunities in Muslim-majority countries. During that process, I discovered the MakeHijra YouTube channel and learned about Pivot2Tech.
I scheduled a meeting with Mr. Shuayb from Pivot2Tech and clearly explained my situation. I mentioned that, as a senior software engineer, I was not looking for technical training. Instead, I wanted guidance on acquiring clients, building a network, and participating in a collaborative community where members share projects and opportunities. Mr. Shuayb assured me that their community operates this way and agreed to help.
He then requested a $1,000 CAD enrollment fee and stated that if a participant does not secure a client within 12 weeks, the full amount would be refunded. Trusting this representation, I paid the fee.
However, after payment, communication and support were minimal. I was not added to the community or contacted as promised until I followed up myself. When I eventually spoke with an instructor, he told me:
“You already know more than me. I can’t teach you anything.” He then shared two YouTube videos and a sample project without any guidance on how the work was done.
When I later asked how the promised client-sharing system worked, the instructor informed me that I would have to find clients myself, which directly contradicted what was explained during enrollment.
I then respectfully asked Mr. Shuayb for clarification about the plan for my situation. His response was:
“I don’t think you want us to help you. If you think this is useless, I don’t want us to work together anyway as I find that incredibly disrespectful.”
Shortly after this, I was removed from the community groups. When I later requested the refund that had been promised if the program was not suitable, he responded: “We don’t do refunds. I’m not going to keep explaining myself. Have some shame and hold yourself accountable. Do not contact me again unless it’s with respect for my team and our services.”
I have recordings and screenshots documenting all communications and events described above.
Charged After Free Trial Cancellation – No Support Response
I signed up for a free trial and cancelled it before it converted into a paid subscription. There is no active paid plan visible inside my account and I am not enrolled in any Skool community.
Despite this, I was charged for four consecutive months.
I contacted support and received no response. After sending the first email, the (1) most recent charge was refunded and my group was suddenly archived — without explanation.
Looking at other reviews here, I can see multiple users reporting similar issues with cancellations, billing, and lack of support response.
This appears to be either a serious billing system flaw or extremely poor customer support.
I would strongly recommend that users double-check cancellation confirmation and monitor their billing statements carefully.
What a horrible experience
What a horrible experience! As someone who has been in multiple entrepreneur groups, this was by far the quickest I've ever left. So many different issues it's ridiculous!

I am very disappointed with Skool.com’s customer support.
When users really need help, support should respond quickly and professionally. I contacted them by email more than a week ago and still have not received any reply. It has now been over 10 days without any response.
I was accused by a creator and removed from a community, and I tried to contact support to understand what happened and to defend myself. Unfortunately, no one answered me. This makes me question how a platform can operate properly if they do not respond to users when serious issues happen.
A platform should protect both creators and members, and at least provide basic communication. Ignoring emails for more than a week is not acceptable.
I truly hope they improve their customer service because users deserve support when they face problems.
Complete scam
Complete scam — you sign up for a subscription that’s completely useless, only to be offered the option to purchase additional courses afterwards. Dishonest and misleading.
