Chose to do a single as an experiment, and glad I did. Its a lot, and though I think I have it figured out I am by no means certain. Still not quite finished the claiming process, and still unclear ab... See more

About CD Baby
Written by the company
Music distribution is about getting your songs in front of the most people possible. That’s why over a million independent creators worldwide use CD Baby to release their music across all major digital streaming platforms like Spotify, TikTok and YouTube Music.
CD Baby makes releasing music affordable— all our distribution services for just a one-time fee of $9.99 per release, whether it's a single or an album. And whenever we add a new digital retail partner, your music catalogue will be delivered to them free of charge.
Many music distributors claim to offer free music distribution but charge additional per-retailer fees, annual subs fees, cancellation fees, and all kinds of hidden add-ons and upsells for additional services. CD Baby has no recurring subscription fees, so you don’t have to worry about us ever taking down your music if you miss a payment (there are no payments!)
CD Baby also offers Mechanical and Digital Performance Royalty collection and Sync Licensing as part of our Boost service, as well as our Stages program for emerging artists. Stages offers a suite of valuable artist services, moving with you as your artist career advances and unlocking new opportunities such as expedited release inspection, DSP playlist pitching, and more.

Both Singles Distributed to Another Artists Profile
I am a new artist and both of my two new singles were put on a different Mary Katherine's artist profile on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Tidal. I've spent the last few days reaching out to those streaming services to create a new profile and add my songs to it which has delayed my release and cost me a lot of time and stress. I'm still not done yet. When I created the songs for distribution in CD Baby I checked the box that I was a new artist and needed a new artist profile. It's VERY frustrating that these songs were put on someone else's profile.
Ruined my release with no actual reason
Ruined my release with no actual reason
My artwork which was taken on 35mm was labeled “blurry”
Wasted time and money
Non-existent customer support (even the paid options for Fast Forward Priority), inaccurate inspection process by their AI system flags issues that do not exist, and on top of having no customer support to discuss this with, it’s nothing but wasted time and money!
Took forever and a day.
CD Baby is run by AI Bots
CD Baby is run by AI Bots who make grave errors affecting your account and distribution. I do NOT recommend using them if you care about the health of your artist platforms! You will not get proper customer support from CD Baby, even if you pay for the Fast Forward support option, which we did.
The overall good feel and a point of attention
Feels very good and professional to get my music on the internet! For me just a difficult thing is sometimes the communication. If there is made 'a ticket' for a certain case there is too short time for me to react. Than I have to make a new 'ticket' and I have to explain the whole problem again to another person on the helpdesk. Hope this is helpful for you…..
Music Launch Pad Platform
Very Satisficed with CDBABY process. Simple to understand. I appreciate professional service with an affordable price to set my release in motion.
Done with ease and very professional
Thank you!
First of all - thank you for opportunity to share music on all popular platforms! It was very convenient, informative and didn't take much time. Will recommend your service to friends and colleagues with great pleasure.
The service responses were helpful
The service responses were helpful. I am not happy I lost my promotion and wasn't able to transfer it. I had to pay for everything again to fix my audio issue. I do like that CD Baby allows you to pay once to put my music online rather than yearly subscription. Please never change this or the straight forward process of releasing an album.

The only issue that concerns me is the time frame it took to get my music out there. I've only released one track so far so I can't truly rate you guys yet but thank you! I hope this is the beginning of an amazing partnership.
