Complete joke of a business. Do not deal with them

This place is an absolute sham.
Sent me a damaged guitar, told me that some paperwork had to be filled out for the return due to CITES, then told me they weren’t responsible for said paperwork and that I had to do everything.
Then, they gave me a massive headache regarding issuing a partial refund(which they never followed through on no matter how often I called) and they also refused to pay for any import fees if the guitar was sent back and replaced. These dudes also acted like I was in the wrong when they sent me a guitar that was listed as new yet it had dented frets, a stained gig bag, and multiple chips in the finish.

Rene is an absolute joke and so is his cohort John. Those two couldn’t find a white piece of paper in a dark room with a spotlight.
Avoid this place like the plague.

Ordered 2 expensive subwoofers from their site, after a couple weeks the order has not been updated. I reached out to the store and got no response. Now I have to get a stop payment on my credit card.

You will lose your money. I ordered a guitar, and it was backordered. I asked for my money back twice, and they've ignored me. Will be proceeding with reporting them to the authorities.

Tundra Music, poor business practices or fraud?
I recently consigned a 1972 Fender Telecaster to Ed and Matt (Toronto location). The instrument sold almost instantly however it was a 6 month process to get paid.
Their business view is what’s yours is mine.
I’ve read hundreds of customer reviews for Tundra Music and it’s quite clear that their business practices clearly demonstrate intent to defraud! I was successful in collecting my money but only after being prepared to lay criminal charges against them. Forget small claims court and the BBB, they’re no more than a joke. If you want to be paid or refunded money for goods not delivered lay criminal charges. These guys would better serve the community from behind bars.

An excellent store for the pro or beginner. Unique items and extensive inventory. Matthew treated me very well and answered even the dumbest questions. I’ll be back.

Thank god my order is a Blackstar mini amp and just $150 - I ordered 1 month ago and though Rene will respond to some of my emails and seems nice enough the reality is that they have my money for 1 months and I have nothing! My gear from Thomann arrived from Germany in 4 days from my date of order so how the hell can this take so long!

Do not do business with them and I suggest you seriously question the legitimacy of the 5 star reviews.

I ordered a guitar and it arrived damaged and unusable. I contacted them literally within 20 minutes after delivery to initiate a return and I have received zero communication thus far.

The guitar was shipped in a single box and no padding within that box. Guitars should be shipped double boxed with sufficient packaging to prevent damage in transit.

At this point I don't even want to return it in fear that I would be out a guitar AND my money.

It's also pretty shady that they still have the exact same guitar, including serial number, for sale and in-stock on their website and Reverb.

A scam artist. Do not order or put any equipment on consignment. The owner will steal the equipment, "my bass cab," and keep your money, "my guitar consignment profit." He is a petty thief. Do not trust him. The worst store owner I have ever dealt with.

Hello just wanted to add my own review after bying a as6 slim concert guitare from them this pas week. Just for the record I'm not an acquaintance or payed by the store to write this review. I had spoken with Mr Rene Lacroix when ordering last saturday and then , discovered all the bad review the store had on the web. I can't speak for them, but I what i can say from my recent experience is this. After having read all these reviews, I came in contact with Mr Lacroix who then explained to me that the pandemic has hit them pretty hard and that they basically are understaffed. He assured me that there wasnt going to be any issues with my order , which did come in as expected , just a few days after ordering it. The guitare came in very well wrapped and protected, and I took the time to write back M Lacroix to thank him . I will be doing business again with these guys and I hope that they overcome all the issues that this pandemic has brought to them.

Bought a guitar online, which was supposedly in stock, they took the money and then silence..... After I sent a few emails and phone calls without any reply, I had to get my bank to cancel the transaction.

It's basically a scam.

Ordered a guitar back in October 2020 to be shipped to me here in Norway, which according to their site was in stock, and as of today, 5th of February 2021, still haven't received any guitar... My order has only been placed in the infamous "awaiting fulfilment" bin, where it now has been for the last three months.

Written them several times, through their email, message service on their website and via their Facebook. Only through the latter have I received ONE answer back for all the messages I've sent. "They're awaiting my guitar from another place, which would take three weeks", and this was back in December, so yeah... No guitar. Only a big fat SCAM!!! Hopefully there's a way to get my money back through my bank or something.

A one star review is too generous for this online SCAM!!! My experience is like the majority of those listed here. I made a purchase online for a product that was available. After taking my funds, I got relegated to the "awaiting fulfilment" bin, where I've been for over 13 days. Numerous emails were exchanged with the store who began by telling me on a Saturday that they'd look into my problem on Monday and to bear with them due to Covid-19 restrictions. If this were truly a factor, you shouldn't be running an online store - have the decency to shut down for a while instead of ripping people off!

Once Monday hit, there was no word from Tundra. More follow up emails (because the phone line leads to a full voicemail) finally elicited a response that a refund would be processed "within the hour". This refund was never actually issued. I'm down to pursuing this matter with my credit card company for a charge back.

To the people here that have suggested a class action lawsuit - I'm in!

Hi, My name is Brandon and I ordered a Fender Jaguar Road Worn Cobain guitar from Tundra Music online as a gift. I got an automated email telling me the guitar was out of stock and I was offered a newer model of the same guitar without a worn look. I talked to Rene on the phone and he was able to match the price. It was an incredible deal for me because I am living on a very fixed income, Thank you Rene and Tundra Music for your fast and excellent service. I recommend Tundra Music to anybody reading this.

Bought a Guild acoustic from the Toronto location for around $1000. The person working there (tall lanky dude with long hair) forgot to mention it had a small crack down the back of it. I should have inspected it more closely, but then again I generally go by the default that people aren't total pieces of garbage, my bad i guess. The crack has gotten bigger since I've played it more and more, will not ever be shopping at this dump store again.

ONLINE FRAUD!
That is the only way to describe their business. All reviews are the same. No call back, don't answer, not in stock, take your money and you have to fight to get it back. Maybe a class action lawsuit from everyone they screw over will clean them up, or out. I ordered from them in September. Received a confirmation number, that's it.
When I logged in I got a message saying I haven't placed any orders. Checked my cc statement and sure enough, I was charged. Called several times, messaged, e-mailed, no answer. Finally got a hold of Rene, and guess what... he told me he would call me back. He had to find out what was going on.
Guess what? He didn't call back. Called my credit card company and cancelled the transaction.

I wonder how they are even allowed to be on reverb.com with so many bad reviews. Big on the bait and switch tactic. I found a nice squire standard tele which are practically impossible to find new.. Showed they had 2, i ordered. Got a message not long after saying they were sorry, did not have stock. Wanted to see if i was ok with taking a different guitar. I almost did but the one i wanted was on back order. I decided not to. Very glad i didnt. After seeing the other reviews seems that would not have been the end of my problems with them.

I ordered in August. No guitar, no replays...

I choose this store because they ''had'' the Bass guitar that I was looking. I emailed them for some questions, called..sent questions over Facebook.. nothing, no reply at all.. they dosent care about anything.. Guys close this shop ASAP!!!

scammers. sold me guitar. after weeks of waiting for fulfillment, i checked and found out that this guitar is discontinued for sale in Canada. After calling them several times and finally getting to a person i had found out they did not have it in stock and requested to cancel order and was told that refund will be issued in 3-4 business day. week later, no refund and nobody picks up anymore. i am reporting them to the Visa and disputing transaction.
