ZERO After Sales

Placed an order on the 29th of September and it was dispatched on the 30th from Germany, arriving in Barcelona for onward travel on the 2nd of October. SEUR/DPD notified me it would be delivered on the 5th of October and that's when things started going wrong, with Oukitel showing its true colours and why someone should avoid buying their products.

On the 5th of October I checked the tracking and noticed it said both parcels (main unit in one and battery in the other) had been delayed. The battery arrived on the 6th. I emailed Oukitel that night to inform them that the main unit had not arrived and that there had been no update on its whereabouts since it had arrived in Barcelona 4 days prior.

Silence.

Each day passed with no further updates on the tracking and no reply from Oukitel, with DPD/SEUR brushing it off with "it has not yet arrived at the local depot. We'll inform you when it's out for delivery." Well, "No sh*t, Sherlock it's not arrived, but WHERE is it and why hasn't it moved in days?!"

From Oukitel: silence in response to my emails.

On the 8th of October DPD head office responded saying that in accordance with their policy, due to no tracking updates for 72 hrs, the parcel was to be considered "lost". I informed SEUR of this, but SEUR are refusing to do anything until informed by Oukitel.

And Oukitel... well... doing nothing. Absolute silence. Nothing. Nada. "We've got your money and thus we're done here!"

So, there we have it: item paid for and dispatched at lightening speed, but when the transportation service failed, Oukitel are nowhere to be seen. And I suspect that's also the case when there is a fault with a product and support is required from them.

I'm therefore left with no alternative other than to commence a chargeback via my credit card provider.

Oukitel WP30 Pro - Avoid

This is a review for the WP30 Pro.

I would not recommend this telephone, or Oukitel, for a number of reasons:

1) when using the supply charger the temperature of the battery increases to over 50 degrees centigrade. Oukitel state that this is normal, but it's interesting that then you telephones do not use the 120w charger anymore.

2) I bought a Chinese version. It's dropped from my hands into the sink and no longer worked after one month. I sent it back for a refund and bought a European model instead.

3) I was hiking last week and the telephone fell out of my pocket onto some rocks. I have a screen protector and the telephone itself was not damaged BUT the power button on the side was damaged from a drop of 1.5m and no longer worked. I had to have it repaired as it was pushed in and inoperable. Spare parts were difficult as well so the phone shop had to shave the bent metal work back into shape, making the phone no longer waterproof.

4) the European version runs on Android 13. Oukitel's website has a software update to Android 14, but it is for the Chinese version only. There is no OTA upgrade for the European version either so I cannot upgrade. I have emails Oukitel customer support to see if there is such an update which they can send to me, but they have not replied.

5) the camera is absolutely horrendous due to poor software. The photo quality somewhat improves with a modded version of Google's camera but it is still nowhere as good as a 120 MP camera should be.

Save your money.

Save your money.
This companies products are cheap for a reason. They DO NOT provide security updates every month. My product indicates updates until 2027, my last update was March 2025. Device constantly say up to date.

Emailed customer service they told me how to update, which I already knew.

Oukitel then asked for my product name, device build, IMEI number which I provided.

Over a week now and no response.

If you do but an OUKITEL product for your own safety DO NOT USE it for any form of financial use. Eg banking, shopping etc

The total lack of security updates put you at risk of identity and financial loss.

Total lack of customer service.

SAVE YOUR MONEY PURCHASE FROM A PROPER MORE WELL KNOWN BRAND

DONT BUY THESE PHONES!!!!!

⭐ 1/5 – Absolutely unacceptable

I would not recommend Oukitel South Africa / Tsukuru to anyone.

My problems started from the day I bought the phone.

The original Oukitel I received was defective and had to be sent back TWICE because it was not working properly. Only after that did they eventually send me a replacement.

That replacement is the phone I am dealing with now.

It later suffered water ingress despite being sold as a rugged IP68 phone. After weeks of arguments, delays, emails and warranty disputes, I eventually paid for the repair simply to get the matter finished.

Oukitel confirmed in writing that the phone would be properly resealed and that its water resistance would be tested.

They returned the phone to me.

It filled with water again.

The camera lenses fogged up, water was clearly visible inside the phone, and the cameras failed again.

I recorded the entire process from opening the courier package through to the failed test.

So my experience with Oukitel has now been:

A defective new phone.

Two returns.

A replacement phone.

Water ingress.

A warranty dispute.

Weeks of arguments and delays.

A paid repair.

And then the repaired phone comes back and fills with water again.

For a company selling “rugged” phones, this is beyond embarrassing.

At this point I have lost all confidence in both the product and the after-sales service.

I would not buy another Oukitel phone, and based on my experience I would strongly advise anyone considering one to think very carefully before spending their money.

Oukitel - Truly Reliable phone - think again

If you're looking for a truly reliable phone that doesn't freeze when typing a text or email, doesn't drop calls or freeze so a call can't be answered. If you're looking for a phone that has amazing customer service support - YOU DEFINITELY DON'T WANT TO BUY AN OUKITEL PHONE. The phone started having issues within the first month and they have steadily gotten worse. When customer service finally responded, they apologize and offer to get things fixed, do nothing then ignore any contact. If you're looking for a phone that works start away from Oukitel.

Not a good quality phone

Pic quality on a scale of 1-10 = 2, toughness = 10,
software...just plain old out of date brown stuff. There's no way these phones go thru any quality checking. Save yourself a lot of time and pain and buy a Samsung or just shout in public. Mine = bought through Amazon NEW it lasted 10months went to get a refund They'd already discontinued because of faults and returns. Yeah, that good!

Early days with a BP3000E and so far excellent …

Early days with a BP3000E portable power unit but so far everything seems spot on. Needed more power than the smaller, and lighter power packs and this fits the bill perfectly. Easy to set up and seems well made. After a full change yesterday, today we try solar charging and I expect that to be just as straightforward.

This phone is absolutely shocking avoid

This phone is absolutely shocking. Lost all my contacts on update. Can't save contacts or messages as they instantly delete. Contacted them and sent them everything and got fobbed off. Now other apps won't work on this device as not compatible
