This is a new travel option between Economy and Business on long-haul flights. This cabin has 12 seats, which are located in the first three rows of Economy. Each row has four seats, so each passenger enjoys an empty seat next to them.

You can travel in this new cabin from 1 June 2026.
Tickets will be available from 31 March 2026.
You can purchase a ticket for the new cabin through the usual channels: on our website, on the TAP App, at the Contact Center, or at Travel Agencies.

Flights prices may differ even if the destination is the same. This is due to several factors, but mainly the time of the year, day of the week and schedule, demand for the destination, time in advance of booking and available fares.
Fare conditions refer to the terms and conditions associated with a specific air ticket fare. They may include benefits or restrictions regarding cancellation and refund rules, booking changes, baggage, miles accumulation, among other things. You should therefore choose the fare that best suits your needs. See the fare conditions here.

Danish law stipulates that all passengers purchasing an airline ticket in Denmark are given the option of paying the Danish Travel Guarantee Fund Fee. This fee is the responsibility of Rejsegarantifonden (RGF), an entity owned by the Danish government.
The deadline for making an online reservation varies between 6h and 72h before the flight departure time, depending on the market and the payment methods available.
An electronic ticket, or e-ticket, is a digital, personal and non-transferable document that is sent to you by email and is proof of your booking. It contains all relevant information about your trip, such as schedules, dates, flight numbers and passenger information, and eliminates the need for physical tickets. With the e-ticket, your booking is stored securely in our database, without loss or damage, making the whole process more practical and reducing paper waste.
A copy of your electronic ticket / E-Ticket will be sent to your email address after payment is completed.
If you completed your online booking and did not receive any confirmation at your email address, please check your spam or junk mail folder or contact our Contact Center.
A direct flight and a layover flight differ in the way the Passenger reaches their final destination. With a direct flight, the Passenger travels directly from the departure point to the destination, without intermediate stops or plane changes. With a layover flight, the Passenger has to make one or more intermediate stops, changing planes, until reaching the final destination.
"Multi-city" allows you to create complex and customized itineraries according to your needs and preferences, including several origin and destination cities in the same booking. In other words, instead of booking a round trip between two cities, you can add several flight segments in different cities, starting at one point of origin and ending at another. You can add up to six segments.
It means that one of the flights of your itinerary is operated by another Airline and there may be restrictions on the services provided.
Connection time refers to the time interval between two consecutive flights at a connection, from the arrival of the first to the departure of the second, thus determining the time available to make the flight transfer. Whenever the layover is longer than 6 hours, you will be alerted to the "extended connection time" on the selection page (under each flight) as well as on the purchase and confirmation pages, and in the confirmation email.
You can include up to nine passengers per booking, including adults and children. For bookings with a larger number of passengers, please see the information regarding group trips.

A codeshare flight is a partnership between two or more Airlines, where one of them operates the flight and the others sell tickets for that same flight using their own codes. Hand baggage is subject to the following restrictions:
Maximum weight: 10 kg / 22 lbs.
Maximum dimensions: 55 x 40 x 25 cm / 22 x 16 x 10 in (height x length x width).
Economy: one piece.
Business: two pieces, except on flights to or from North America.
In addition to hand baggage, you can take one personal item with you.
No. For safety reasons, these types of items should only be transported as Cargo
Yes, you can carry some electronic equipment in the cabin, as long as it meets the size and weight limits permitted by TAP. However, there are some transportation restrictions. See the full list here.
If your medication needs to be refrigerated on board, please make the request here at least 72 hours before your flight. Thermal bags that can be accommodated in refrigerated areas on board must not exceed 15 to 20 cm in size and must be malleable. When you request on-board refrigeration of your medication, you must inform us of the dimensions and total weight of the bag containing your medication.
The number of pieces (baggage volume) you can take varies depending on the Class you are traveling in and the destination of your flight. Find out all the rules for transporting checked baggage here.
No. For security reasons, these items must only be transported as load.
We do not recommend transporting this type of fragile equipment in the aircraft's hold, as it can easily be damaged. You can choose to carry them in the cabin, but if that it is not possible — due to the limitations of baggage capacity — we suggest transporting them as load.
Baggage allowance depends on the policies of each airline on your itinerary. Always check the terms of your booking and baggage policies on the e-ticket or on the websites of the Airlines involved.
It is the baggage delivered to TAP at a Check-in and/or bag drop counter (drop-off point), which is transported in the aircraft's hold, and for which a baggage tag is issued.
Customs restrictions may vary depending on the destination country and the type of items you are transporting. Common examples of items subject to restrictions include tobacco, alcoholic beverages, food products, money and electronic equipment. For detailed information, please see the European Union guidelines here. Furthermore, it is recommended that you check with customs authorities the specific rules of the country you are traveling to.
Up to the age of 2, tickets are issued at the baby fare. Children over the age of 2 are issued a child fare. This means, for example, that if the baby turns 2 on the day the trip starts, you must book a child ticket.
Another situation to consider is that if the baby is under 2 years old on the outbound flight, but will be 2 years old on the return flight, the tickets must be issued separately (outbound as a baby and return as a child). You can make these bookings online.
If, in this situation, you wish to have both tickets in the same booking, you will need to contact the TAP Contact Center so that both tickets (outward and return) are issued with a child fare.
If you suffer from a serious or incapacitating illness, are dependent on third parties or require special care, you must ask your doctor to fill in, sign and stamp (with a sticker or stamp) the Medical Information for Fitness to Travel (MEDIF) form (PDF, 0.1 MB, EN), for subsequent analysis by TAP's medical services.
The medical assistance request (via submission of the Medical Information for Fitness to Travel (MEDIF) form (PDF, 0.1 MB EN) is free of charge. However, some of the necessary medical services may be subject to additional fees (e.g., stretcher transportation or oxygen assistance) and must be requested and paid for prior to the departure date.
Yes. If you use injectable insulin, always carry it with you in your hand baggage, along with other essential items needed for your trip and stay. Please also bring your written medical certificate with you if you are asked for proof at the airport's Security Control.
At the boarding gate, in case your hand baggage needs to be transferred to the aircraft's hold (example: in flights with high occupancy), don't forget to remove the insulin from the hand baggage and place it inside your personal item.
Yes, if it is a manual chair. If it is an electric wheelchair, it will not be possible to take it to the boarding gate. In both cases, you must submit the Assistance Request form at least 48 hours before flight departure, otherwise we cannot guarantee the provision of the assistance service.
Yes. However, you should pick up your boarding pass at the check-in desk at the airport so that the agent at the desk can contact the assistance service. At the Lisbon and Porto airports, there are specific desks for the special assistance service, these are duly marked, and it is to these desks that you should go when you arrive at the airport.
At any departure airport, you must go to the check-in desk for your flight. At the Lisbon and Porto airports, there are specific desks for the special assistance service, these are duly marked, and it is to these desks that you should go when you arrive at the airport.
At the destination airport, or during your transfer, special assistance agents will meet you on the plane and accompany you throughout the border control, baggage claim and customs process.
The service is available to Business passengers making long-haul flights departing from Lisbon and medium-haul flights to / from Lisbon. It is also available to Stopover passengers, on flights with a stopover in Lisbon and an intercontinental final destination.

The baggage allowance offered to groups is equivalent to that of the individual Basic fare, but additional baggage may be negotiated.
To find out whether a TAP flight is on schedule, en route to its destination, or has already landed, please check the Flight Information page or go to Flight Status at www.flytap.com. You can get detailed flight information by searching by airport, origin and destination, or flight number:

Yes. TAP allows the use of personal electronic devices, as long as they are in “flight mode” or equivalent - communication and data transmission systems (Wireless and Bluetooth) should be disabled.
There are, however, some rules that must be followed during the flight:
For security reasons, TAP does not allow passengers to use the following devices:
During take-off and landing, all laptops or similarly heavy equipment, such as DVD players, must be stowed in the luggage compartment. You can also store them in the chair pockets as long as they do not weigh more than 1.36 kg and are not larger than the pocket. When placing them in the luggage compartment, or when instructed by the crew, you must turn off the devices.
No. This type of service is free of charge.
The invoice request must be made at the time of purchase, only for flights departing from Portuguese territory and with a Portuguese taxpayer identification number. If the invoice was issued at the time of purchase, you can access it here.
It is not possible to issue invoices retrospectively and for purchases whose flight originates outside the Portuguese territory.
American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Contactless, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay cards are accepted. Payment must be made in euros and the limit is 100 EUR. Cash payments are not accepted.
Overbooking is a common practice in the aviation industry and consists of selling more seats than the ones available on the plane. It involves the use of advanced flight management systems, which predict possible cancellations and / or no-shows by multiple passengers. In specific situations, when this does not happen and results in overbooking, TAP asks for volunteers who can postpone their trip and give up their seat to another passenger in exchange for a compensation. In the event of insufficient volunteers, affected passengers are relocated until they reach their final destination with the right to a compensation in accordance with company regulations and policy.
Your baggage is transferred to your next flight. However, if you decide not to travel or your alternative flight is on another day, you can ask to collect your baggage and it will be delivered to you.
The TAP team, which will activate your protection / rerouting flight, will guarantee the auxiliary services that were purchased for the original flight. If this is not possible, you must contact us using the requests and complaints form to get a refund.
All passengers affected by this situation, regardless of whether they volunteer or not, will be assigned a rerouting flight and are entitled to the corresponding compensation, in accordance with the current legislation. Monetary compensations will be paid, whenever possible, by card, which you can use to make payments like with any other debit card or to withdraw money from an ATM.
If you agree to volunteer, the compensations may be negotiated. You will also be relocated on the next available flight. If the alternative flight is not on the same day, we also guarantee a hotel booking and transfer until your next flight. There are several compensation options, but if you choose to change your flight voluntarily, you will not be able to request a refund for your ticket.
Yes. For this reason, all passengers must always go to the boarding gate to be informed about the current situation. Only then will we know for sure if it is necessary to go ahead with volunteering or not.

Portugal Stopover is the possibility of having, on the same trip, two destinations for the price of one, staying between 1 and 10 days (from 24 to 240 hours) in Portugal (Lisbon or Porto). Additionally, you can benefit from a 25% discount (excluding airport taxes) on any domestic flight to make a second stop in Portugal during your Stopover period.
Eligible routes are round trips or outward or return trips, with a stopover in Lisbon or Porto, on medium and long-haul flights. The trip can include multiple destinations and the Portugal Stopover can be made on one of the routes (outward or return), even if you fly to one city and return from another.
With Portugal Stopover, you will enjoy two destinations for the price of one. Depending on the city of your Stopover, you can also enjoy unique benefits. Additionally, you'll enjoy exclusive prices when booking your stay at the listed hotels and discounts with other partners.
When simulating a trip without a Stopover and another one with a Stopover, the flights in these two simulations will not be identical. Airport taxes, classes, and subclasses are different, resulting in price variations between selected flights.
The possibility of booking the Portugal Stopover is offered to you when you enter an eligible route in the flight search menu, on flytap.com. When you enter an eligible route, a banner will inform you that the service is available, and you can select the route where you want to make the Stopover, as well as the city and duration of the stop.
Portugal Stopover can only be used on one leg of your trip: either on the outward or on the return flight.
Yes, it is possible to book a Stopover for a one-way trip.
To find out if it is possible to add a Stopover to your trip and check the fare conditions associated with the change, please get in touch with the Contact Center.
For stops of 24 hours or more, it is not possible to check in your hold baggage directly to your final destination. You will need to collect it when you arrive in Lisbon or Porto and check it in again when you continue to your final destination. If your stopover is less than 24 hours, your baggage will be transferred directly to your final destination, unless you request to pick it up in Lisbon or Porto at Check-in.
Yes. However, please note that with Portugal Stopover (itineraries that include a stay in Portugal in excess of 24h between flights), extra hold baggage must be purchased for each of the flights. On routes without Portugal Stopover (one-way, round-trip, or multi-city itineraries with direct flights or stopovers less than 24h), extra hold baggage must be purchased once and is valid on all flights on the route.
When simulating a trip without a Stopover and another one with a Stopover, the flights in these two simulations will never be the same, since the available fare classes and subclasses may be different. Therefore, there may be a price variation between the values that are presented.
Several partnerships are available in various regions of Portugal. You can check them here.
You can access these offers directly from the partners by following the instructions provided in the description of each offer.
