Binance.US Cryptocurrency Trading Fees

Binance.US cryptocurrency trading fees apply when you buy, sell, and trade crypto.

As a regulated U.S. exchange, Binance.US keeps fees among the lowest of any exchange in its category. You pay a maker fee or a taker fee when you place an Advanced (Spot) Trading order. Maker fees stay 0%, with no subscription fees or trading volume requirements. Bank transfer (ACH) is free for deposits and withdrawals, and paying trading fees in BNB gives you a 5% discount.

What are the trading fees on Binance.US?

A trading fee applies each time you place an Advanced (Spot) Trading order on Binance.US, deducted automatically as a small percentage of the order value.

Binance.US charges a flat 0% maker and 0.01% taker fee on the Tier 0 pair (currently BNB/USD only), and 0% maker and 0.02% taker on all other pairs. The 0.02% taker rate lowers to 0.01% once your 30-day trading volume hits $500 million or more.

What are maker and taker fees?

Maker and taker fees are the two rates that set the cost of your trade on the exchange, based on how your order meets the order book.

  • A maker order adds liquidity: it rests on the order book until it fills, so you pay the lower maker fee.
  • A taker order removes liquidity: it fills immediately against an existing order, so you pay the taker fee.

Limit orders that stay on the order book are usually makers, while market orders are usually takers.

On the Tier 0 pair (only BNB/USD at this time), Binance.US charges a 0% maker fee and a 0.01% taker fee, no matter how much you trade. On all other pairs, the rate is 0% maker and 0.02% taker, which lowers to 0.01% taker once your 30-day trading volume hits $500 million or more.

For additional details, see our guide on maker and taker fees.

How Binance.US calculates your fee tier

Binance.US calculates your fee tier based on your 30-day trading volume*, updated daily at 8:00 PM ET.

On the Tier 0 pair (currently BNB/USD only), Binance.US charges a flat 0% maker fee and 0.01% taker fee, no matter how much you trade.

Every other pair starts at 0% maker and 0.02% taker. Once your 30-day trading volume reaches $500 million, the taker fee on those pairs drops to 0.01%.

How to lower your Binance.US trading fees

You can reduce your trading fees on Binance.US by paying fees in BNB or by trading at scale.

  • Pay with BNB. If you pay your trading fees with BNB, you get a 5% discount on Advanced (Spot) Trading fees. Only BNB in your available balance qualifies. See paying with BNB.
  • Trade more. On pairs above Tier 0 (BNB/USD), your taker fee drops to 0.01% once your 30-day trading volume reaches $500 million.

On the Tier 0 pair, the maker and taker fees stay flat, independent of your trading volume, so the BNB discount is the main way to lower cost on that pair.

Deposit and withdrawal fees on Binance.US

Deposit and withdrawal fees are separate from trading fees and depend on which method you choose.

Deposits

  • Crypto: free.
  • Bank transfer (ACH): free.
  • Wire: $0, though your bank may charge its own fee.
  • Debit or credit card: 3.99%, though your card issuer may charge its own fee.

Withdrawals

  • Bank transfer (ACH): free.
  • Wire: a flat $25, plus any fee your own bank charges.
  • Crypto: withdrawal fees are shown prior to your transaction. Withdrawal fees may change from transaction to transaction. These fees are calculated using a dynamic fee model that considers several factors, including the total number of withdrawal, spot, and convert orders a user places, the estimated market costs of gas, BAM Trading's overall operational expenses and the total withdrawal amount of any one transaction.
  • Crypto (users in states powered by BitGo*, including New York and North Carolina): Withdrawals are charged a fee of 0.05% of the equivalent USD value of the amount withdrawn, calculated at the time of withdrawal. No gas fee is charged. In the event the calculated withdrawal fee is below a minimum threshold, which varies based on the asset and network, a nominal fee applies. The exact fee is shown before you confirm your withdrawal.

*Digital Asset Trading Services in New York and North Carolina are provided through BitGo Bank & Trust, NA and its affiliates ("BitGo"). For users in NY and NC who sign up through the Binance.US app, your digital assets are custodied, cleared, and settled solely by BitGo, outside of Binance.US.

Which crypto exchange has the lowest fees?

Binance.US offers some of the lowest fees among regulated U.S. exchanges.

BAM Trading Services, Inc. operates Binance.US as a Money Services Business registered with FinCEN. It holds a money transmitter license in 32 states (NMLS ID 1906829) and completes SOC 2 Type II audits, which makes it a credible, regulated source for this comparison.

For the Tier 0 pair (currently BNB/USD only), you pay a flat 0% maker fee and 0.01% taker fee, no matter your trading volume. For all other pairs, you pay 0% maker and 0.02% taker, and that taker rate drops to 0.01% once your 30-day volume reaches $500 million.

What Else Affects The Fees You Pay On Binance.US?

Beyond the maker-taker rate, a few other things shape what you pay. Buy, Sell, and Convert spreads built into the price instead of the maker-taker fee. Your total cost can also depend on the difference between network fees and trading fees, and how fees affect your taxes.

The next sections explain network fees, Buy/Sell/Convert spreads, tax treatment, and how Binance.US compares to other exchanges in more detail.

A trading fee is what the platform charges to execute your order.

A network fee, sometimes called a gas fee, is what the blockchain charges to move crypto between wallets, and it changes constantly.

Yes, fees apply to Buy, Sell, and Convert, but they work as a spread built into the price rather than a maker-taker fee. Fees are calculated and displayed on the "Preview Purchase" screen for your review before you approve the transaction. Fee calculations differ based on factors such as the digital asset itself, transaction type, payment method, and market conditions such as liquidity and volatility.

To lock in prices during the "Preview Purchase" screen, Binance.US includes a spread when you buy, sell or convert crypto.

Advanced (Spot) Trading carries no spread, since you interact directly with the open order book. When you place a limit order, you can see the published maker-taker rate directly before confirming the trade.

Crypto trading fees are generally not a direct tax deduction, but they do affect what you owe. In the United States, trading fees are typically added to your cost basis or subtracted from your proceeds, which adjusts your capital gain or loss rather than lowering your taxable income directly.*

See the crypto tax guide for how fees factor into your reporting.

Binance.US charges no subscription or membership fee to trade on the exchange. You pay trading fees on your orders, plus any deposit or withdrawal fees for the methods you use. Everyone has access to the same fee schedule, and there are no paid memberships that lower fees.

Bank transfer (ACH) is free for both deposits and withdrawals. Other options, such as wire transfers and debit or credit cards, have their own fees. If you want to save on fees, fund by ACH. Ready to start? Buy cryptocurrency in a few taps.

Binance.US deducts a 9.95–39.95% standard service fee from earned Staking Services rewards, which is reflected in the estimated rewards rate for each staking asset. In the Soft-Stake program, Binance.US deducts a 90% service fee from earned rewards in exchange for customer benefits.

See our Terms and Staking FAQ for more info.

Processing fees apply for select services you use, such as Deposit Recovery. Fees are calculated and displayed on the "Confirm Details" screen for your review before you accept. Please review fees carefully before submitting your request.

Binance.US charges 0% maker and 0.02% taker on most spot pairs, among the lowest fees of any regulated U.S. exchange, with no minimum volume required to access them. There is no subscription fee to unlock this rate, either. Paying in BNB adds a discount, and traders who reach $500 million in 30-day trading volume lower their taker rate even further.

Digital Asset Trading Services in New York, North Carolina are provided through BitGo Bank & Trust, NA and its affiliates ("BitGo"). For users in NY and NC who sign up through the Binance.US app, your digital assets are custodied, cleared, and settled solely by BitGo, outside of Binance.US.

Fees for BitGo-powered accounts differ from the fees shown elsewhere on this page. Here is what to expect:

  • Convert: Convert fees work as a spread built into the price rather than a maker-taker fee. Fees are calculated and displayed on the "Preview Purchase" screen for your review before you approve the transaction. Fee calculations differ based on factors such as the digital asset itself, transaction type, payment method, and market conditions such as liquidity and volatility. To lock in prices during the "Preview Purchase" screen, Binance.US includes a spread when you convert crypto.
  • Withdrawals (Crypto): A withdrawal fee of 0.05% of the USD value of your withdrawal applies. No additional gas or network fee is charged. In the event the calculated withdrawal fee is below a minimum threshold, which varies based on the asset and network, a nominal fee applies. Withdrawal fees are shown prior to your transaction.
