Welcome to The Writers' Hour Magazine & Contest
Welcome to Writers' Hour Magazine, a publication brought to you by the team at the London Writers' Salon, a global community dedicated to helping writers build creative lives through practice, craft, and companionship.
Through daily writing sprints, workshops, and community events, we create spaces where writers can connect, grow, and thrive. No matter your experience level or what you write, we’re glad you’re here.
Each month, we publish a Monthly Contest based on broad theme and a Weekly Companion Prompt each Sunday.
The companion prompts are optional entry points into the month’s theme. They work as standalone invitations, and they also offer different ways a writer might approach the monthly contest prompt: variation, deepening, craft focus, and alternate angles.
We publish the winning piece and finalists after the submission window closes.
This space is one part of a much wider creative ecosystem. If you love what we’re doing here, you might consider joining us as a member of the London Writers' Salon. Our members get access to the paid tier of subscription, all of our live author events, writing workshops, a private community, recording library, and more, all designed to support your writing life.
Thanks for being here.
Let’s write together.
