WooCommerce cart not cleared

    I have a problem since upgrading WooCommerce from v 11.01 to V 11.1.0 I am using Impreza child theme on latest release and WordPress on latest release. The problem is that after purchasing an item using 100% discount code the item remains in the basket/cart even though the order is complete.
    So far i have tried disabling all other plugins – problem remains
    changing to the main Impreza theme – Problem remains
    removing any changes in functions.php – problem remains
    removing any template copies for WooCommerce in the Child theme – problem remains
    changing to 2027 theme – Problem gone.
    although this indicates a problem with the theme the theme version is the same on both WooCommerce versions, but the problem is only after updating WooCommerce to v11.1.0
    any suggestions on how to get round this would be appreciated.

    Thanks for all the testing you’ve already done, that narrows it down a lot.

    I tested the same flow on a clean site with WooCommerce 11.1.0, the classic checkout and a 100% discount coupon. The order completed and the basket was emptied as expected. Together with your results (the problem stays with the parent Impreza theme but goes away with Twenty Twenty-Seven), this points to how Impreza handles the basket or checkout, rather than WooCommerce on its own.

    As for why it started after the update, it may be related to a change in WooCommerce 11.1.0. It changed when the cart gets cleared on the order received page, so it’s no longer cleared if its contents don’t match the order that was just placed.
