I am a South African currently studying law at the University of Cape Town. I am an aspiring writer, reader, and trophy husband.

When GK Chesterton was asked by the London Times to write a ten-thousand-word essay on what’s wrong with the world, he replied with, “Dear Sir, I am.”

I believe that I have found what is right with the world in a man who was a carpenter, Jesus Christ, and I therefore write so that some might come to know Him. And so that those who know Him might come to see Him differently.

Christ was a carpenter who fashioned wood into tables. He is also a carpenter who fashions the hearts of people into something great.

The Bible and classical literature offer us all the beauty, wisdom, and encouragement in the world. They can make us great.

My aim then, is to write about what is right in the world, to write about this beauty.

My blog includes two sections: ‘The Greats’, which are book reviews, Biblical commentaries, and other literary pieces. And ‘Testimonies’, which are my personal experiences of God’s truth at work in the world.

I also post interviews on my blog (quite infrequently) where I have conversations with South African Christian icons. This is to encourage people in their faiths, and to show you that you don’t walk the Jericho Road alone.
