Sonar 2026 · Meet George
He started as a glowing blue orb beside our logo. Follow the road to see how his adventures (and ours) have unfolded over the years.

2015
With the birth of Sonar came the birth of George. At first, he was just a glowing blue orb hovering beside our logo, a little pulse of sonar, if you will. To most, he was amorphous and mysterious. To us, he was instantly George.
2015
From the beginning, George found himself a permanent perch in the top-left corner of every instance. A tiny but mighty teammate, quietly delivering your notifications. Helpful as ever, George was proving that sometimes it's the smallest touches that matter most.

2024
As a fully remote team, Sonar had never gathered in person until February 2025. Our teammate Daniel, armed with a 3D printer and a dream, decided George deserved to make the trip too. And so, physical George was born. Pocket-sized, huggable, and ready for adventure.

Early 2025
Soon, George wasn't just a retreat souvenir. He became a trade show celebrity, posing with clients, photobombing booths, and occasionally being photographed next to drinks he could definitely drown in. Move over Raymond, everybody loves George.

Late 2025
Turns out one George wasn't enough. Enter Animated George, brought to life by our teammate Andrew. Now George doesn't just glow, his personality shines. You'll spot him popping up in our marketing materials, showing off his orb-inal personality.
Today
These days, George is a full-time road warrior, somehow managing to keep up with his adventures on Instagram too. He shares highlights from trade shows, client visits, and wherever else his glowing presence is requested.
2025
George traded in his old look for our official Sonar blue. Same George energy, just dressed a little more on-brand these days.

2026
George made his in-person debut at Sonar Kick Off, our once-a-year gathering where the whole team comes together. This life-sized costume version of George was homemade by one of our Sonar teammates and her family, turning him from on-screen to on-stage.
