I love tracking it, I love yapping about it, and I adore writing about it. Here, I unpack the current astrology with tangible takeaways (and the occasional pop culture reference, because I am who I am). I publish weekly forecasts every Monday morning and 1–2 additional articles each month, including educational content and in-depth transit breakdowns.
About Me
My name is Sam Manzella (pronouns: she/they). I’m a freelance writer and astrologer based in Brooklyn. I’m also queer and nonbinary, two facets of my identity that inform how I approach astrology. Here’s my “big three,” if you’re curious: Gemini Sun, Leo Moon, and Cancer Rising.
I’ve studied Hellenistic astrology seriously for over six years. Previously, I was a staff writer for the astrology app STAR/CHILD, where I wrote hundreds of daily horoscopes for parents and kids. Now I work part-time at a barbershop in Greenpoint and freelance as a journalist and horoscope writer for numerous publications. Outside of work, I enjoy drinking iced Americanos, walking my absolute unit of a senior dog with my partner, and dancing to music by any artist one could reasonably characterize as a pop girlie.

Chani Nicholas’s book You Were Born For This is my go-to recommendation for beginners. Her namesake app, CHANI, is also excellent. Beyond that, I suggest finding a reputable teacher you connect with. Here are some I recommend, all of whom I’ve learned from formally or informally: Drew Levanti, Amy Angelo, Cori Anne Adams, Jeanna Kadlec, and Kirah Tabourn.
