Hello.

My name’s Robert Charboneau. I’m an American poet from Reno, NV. I teach English and journalism at a small Catholic high school. I received my MA in English Literature from UNR.

I consider myself a New Romantic, which means I’m interested in imagination over identity. I prefer common speech to the obscure and obtuse. I think poetry is essentially the use of figurative language, and it can be used to shape the imagination, not only to express powerful emotions, but tell interesting stories, make compelling arguments, and please the ear.
