You didn’t come here for the CV, so let’s pretend we’re already on the same page. I’ve spent three decades on screen, a decade behind the camera, written a book, and somehow ended up behind a few products you may or may not have added to your basket.
I guess you could call this a catch-all for the things I love, need to understand, ask or feel compelled to say out loud.
WHAT IS THE RESET?
Manifesto feels cringe, mission statement feels too Gary Vee. So how do I tag or title what this thing actually is? Sidebar, are we still doing hashtags? Ignore me, I’ll D.M #GaryVee.
This is a weekly dispatch for the culturally curious. A catch all for music, memory, conversation and objective thought. This is culture through a smeared lens, a quieter kind of honesty.
WHY NOW?
I’ve always written. But between acting and hosting, it became a battle. That’s what led me to documentary film. A decade and fifty films later, writing and directing narrative felt like the closest thing to articulating myself fully… until I found Substack.
This is the most direct version of my voice. No middleman. No network. No producer. No filter. Hopefully this ‘reset’ builds a comment section for healthy discourse… I guess this is life after the low hanging fruit… hope and help, go figure.
