We had such an incredible time with Sergio Costs on our recent tour of the Douro Valley!!
The entire day was a wonderful experience with every detail planned perfectly.
The three wineries each unique; included an olive oil tasting, an amazing farm to table lunch, a beautiful boat ride on the Douro River, many beautiful look out points and a final tasting at an wonderful winery handed down and run by generations from the late 1700’s.
Sergio is clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about the area and we are so glad we booked with him.

My wife and I spent a perfect day in the Douro valley with Sergio of Portugal EV Tours. We chose a private tour and it provided us the opportunity and luxury to benefit from Sergio's extensive knowledge of the Douro valley and its many treasures. Sergio chose superb venues and provided us with access to locations that exceeded our expectations. Sergio speaks English and French fluently and shared with us great tips for our upcoming trip to the Algarve. The use of an Electric Vehicle (and a very luxurious one, at that!) was important to us. We highly recommend Portugal EV Tours for a truly exclusive access to the charms of the Douro valley.

The highlight of our time in Porto!
We did a day trip to the Duoro with Sergio. He was an excellent tour guide with a deep knowledge of the region. We really appreciated the "green" aspect of the trip being in an EV. The wines were great...but that lunch...amazing!!

A wonderful and informative experience overall. Sergio was a great guide and drive. Sharing his knowledge of both wine, the history and culture of Portugal made the day complete. I highly recommend this tour - great wines, food and a wonderful day in Douro valley.

The opportunity to tour the twisty roads of the Douro Valley in a very comfortable car with a safe driver who knows the roads was a pure pleasure. All three passengers were afforded an excellent view through the large windows with no need to watch the road. The pre-arranged side trips were all top notch. We particularly enjoyed the olive oil museum and included tastings.
Communication with Sergio to set up the tour was clear and took our needs into account. His ongoing commentary the day of the trip revealed a sense of humour and a wealth of interesting information about the Douro area in particular and Portugal in general. Three very ordinary Canadians felt like royalty for a day. We could not have been happier with this tour and felt it was good value for the money for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Our tour guide, Sergio, was knowledgeable, polite, funny, and easy to understand. His Tesla was clean and comfortable. The variety of places he took us in the Douro Valley was amazing, including a short river ride and a variety of wine and porto tastings, a small museum, plus a lovely lunch high above the river. Very satisfying and well worth the money.

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Portugal. Mónica was friendly and knowledgeable about the region, and we loved the personal nature of the tour. My husband and I want to return to Portugal soon, and we would happily sign up for another Portugal EV Tour!

We loved the experience! Our tour guide was delightful 😍 The food at the farm resort we stopped for lunch was authentic and delicious. But the trip overall was it is a little too long by an hour or two.

Sergio is a remarkable narrator who manages to capture your attention even with a backdrop as stunning as the Douro. He is able to strike a great balance between providing broad knowledge and finer points of detail. My description does not fully capture the amount of work and skill it takes to accomplish this. I applaud Sergio for how he did it so beautifully and seamlessly. Not to mention how much we enjoyed it that we had lost track of time completely.

In addition to Sergio’s love for the Douro, we noticed his passion to build and be part of the community. Sergio embodies his business practices and partnerships to reflect this respect and value. Because of his investment and care in this area, we were so well taken care of by his partners. Sergio possess the talent and heart to set him apart from any guide we have ever encountered. We feel incredibly lucky to have found him and to have had him as our host. We are hopeful to return soon to book another experience with Sergio!

From beginning to end this was an amazing tour! Sérgio took us on an immersive Douro experience, with lots of beautiful landscapes, delicious products, and, of course, the tasty wines! Sérgio is very knowledgeable and his passion for the region really shines through when he talks about Douro Valley. Also, with the smooth ride of the Tesla, you can really appreciate the tour even more! If you're looking to visit the Douro in a more intimate fashion, this is the way to go!
