This newsletter will discuss Canadian defence issues of the day. I'll mostly address matters that are in the media, along with procurement announcements and developments.
What will readers get out of this newsletter? I've been studying Canadian defence for over two decades, and I spent about 10 years acting as an independent overseer of military acquisitions. My perspective is that of an academic who's had a peak into how things work at the Department of National Defence. So, I hope to offer a mix of theoretical and practical perspectives on various aspects of the defence portfolio in Canada.
Since I write this newsletter for free on top of various other commitments, I don’t have as much time as I’d like to vet and edit it before I send it out. There are often mistakes and typos in the initial posts, as a result. Apologies in advance.
