Great place to build leadership skills, but be ready for a fast pace and long hours
The good thingsJollibee gave me real hands-on leadership experience early on — I started in production crew and was given the chance to grow into an Assistant Restaurant Manager role over the years, which taught me a lot about handling pressure, leading a team, and staying organized in a fast-paced environment. Management was generally supportive of internal growth, and there were clear opportunities to take on more responsibility if you showed initiative. The training systems are solid, especially for someone starting out, and I built strong skills in scheduling, inventory, and customer service that I still use today.
The challengesThe pace can be relentless, especially during peak hours or promos, and staffing shortages sometimes meant covering more than one role at once. Shift schedules can be unpredictable, which makes work-life balance tricky, especially for those with families. Pay increases don't always keep up with the added responsibility as you move up, so it can feel like you're doing more for not proportionally more.
